The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kaz picked up Nail's body and slung him over his shoulder. Walking to the elevator, Kaz went up past the ground floor, to the fifth story. As he walked out, no one was in sight. <Perfect.> Picking a random room he dropped Nail on the floor. Looking around. "Hmm..Supply room." Rummaging around the surprisingly large room, Kaz found the smelling salts and a few other vials and syringes, and went over to Nail.
Putting it to his nose, Kaz broke the stick in half. The smell was potent, potent enough to wake Nail. His smaller hands had filled the syringes, one with a large dose of adrenalin, a strong painkiller and a placebo.
As soon as Nail began to come around Kaz made sure to show the man the syringes before he stuck them in his neck, putting their contents into his bloodstream. "Before you do anything, listen to my words. I'll give you one chance. I've injected you with a poison that only I know the cure for." This of course was a lie, the large adrenalin dose would make him feel like his blood was on fire. But seeing as Nail saw what happened to Iris, Kaz was sure Nail would believe him. "A painkiller so you don't feel the pain from the punch that knocked you out, as well as one to lessen the effects of the poison, so you don't know how bad it'll be." Kaz stepped backwards away from Nail.
"The Xmen will be here shortly. You won't run to their side and beg for help. In fact you'll do the opposite. That is IF you want to live. You'll work with and for us. If we fight, you'll fight on our side, to win. If and When you do this, when it's over, I'll give you the antidote." Pausing to let the information sink in. "What say you?"
Nail came to groggily. He was actually feeling much better than earlier after being beat up. Being knocked out was kinda... refreshing.
He looked up and saw the four armed beast sitting over him, waving a syringe in his face.
"Uh oh..."
He gasped slightly as the needle was ruffly pushed into his neck, and the contents were inserted. The surprise, as well as the initial affects of the adrenaline sent him flying backward and scrambling to his feet, his breathing already beginning to quicken.
"Before you do anything, listen to my words. I'll give you one chance. I've injected you with a poison that only I know the cure for. A painkiller so you don't feel the pain from the punch that knocked you out, as well as one to lessen the effects of the poison, so you don't know how bad it'll be. The Xmen will be here shortly. If and When you do this, when it's over, I'll give you the antidote... What say you?"
Nail was frantically looking around the room the whole time Kaz talked. Taking in his words, as well as his surroundings. Needless to say, he was majorly freaking out the entire time, but as Kaz finished Nail seemed to take on alittle more focus. He was still breathing heavily, but he was focused entirely on Kaz now, eyes wide, and now on his feet and steady.
"I say..."
A thin jagged layer of crystal began to form along his forearms, shins, and his face.
"Your going down..."
With that, a thin, almost sword like diamond shot from his wrist, extending out three feet from his arm. The speed with which he would lunge at Kaz would be astounding. Being of rather light build to Begin with and already being rather agile, the adrenaline seemed to speed him up even more so.
He would slash at Kaz a few times, jumping back and forth to avoid counter attacks. He even went as far to kick a box on a shelf toward Kaz in his little controlled frenzy.
"All my life I've been shielded from this world. Hid my abilities as if it were something to be ashamed of. That wasn't the case. It was because of people who wanted to use me!"

Kaz expected Nail's reaction. As the man charged at him, Kaz raised a large hand and caught the 'sword' in a firm grasp. Whether it was the adrenalin, fear, or anger, Nail was moving faster than he was before. Which made Kaz smile, but not too widely. Nail pulled the sword, which Kaz let go of. Nail began to slash wildly at Kaz's torso, for which he batted the blade away before it could do any damage or sidestep or duck away from the blow. To the man's credit it took a bit more effort than normal to dodge the attacks. After the prolonged frenzy Kaz was sporting a few nicks and cuts on his torso, but nothing serious.
"Idiot!" This was going to hurt. Kaz ran at Nail, in a barrel run of sorts, his large hands crossed over his chest. When he hit, the spikes jutted into his skin drawing lines of blood down his arms. "You fight me here! Now!? Do you want to die quicker? I gave you a chance to live!" Kaz brought his knee up to Nail's crotch. Not hard, but enough to give the man pain. "Everyone uses everyone else. That's the way of the world. Get use to it." Kaz growled. "You're a pathetic mutant. You use your powers like a natural reaction, letting them control you. Instead of the other way around." Using his small arms he grabbed Nail's through and threw him into the wall. Glass shattered on the floor as a shelf snapped from Nail hitting it. "I'm using you. Yes. Because even though you're a pathetic wretch! You have potential. Nothing like Iris I'm sure, but your own. Though you're too spineless to reach it!" Kaz stepped back. "If you haven't noticed, I've been picking on you. Like I did to Iris. Pushing you. TRYING to get you to wake up and step up to the plate, reach your potential that all mutants have. But you've been too scared to even stand up or reach for it. And it makes me sick." Kaz snarled at Nail.
Nail, to put it short, Nail got his ass handed to him again. Kaz was definetly a merciless fighter. Nail seemed already out of it. Laying in the shards of glass, colapsed almost. Kaz would notice something however. His crotch area, and his back were heavily coated in diamond. His face would lift slowely, and he'd smile at Kaz.
Nails foot slid forward across the floor, and a wave of crystal immediately encrusted the floor in front of his foot, shooting out in a cone like fasion. It would encase Kaz's feet to the ground, which by now, had a cone shaped area, which, if kaz was strong enough to break his feet loose of the diamond, would find very spiky, and hard to walk on.
"How's that for potencial..."
Nail stood looking rather unscathed from Kaz's assault. He knew that wouldn't be the end of it however. He made sure to possition himself just out of Kaz's reach.
"Alright mister talkative, hear me out for two seconds. First of all, I have amazing control of my powers. It's combat, and the will to kill someone I have a problem with... Thats not a weakness in my eyes, and I could care les what it is in yours."
Nail would step over to the door, and open it, look out one way and then the next. He would then close it again and turn to face Kaz once more.
"Second, your a coward. Poisoning people and using that whole, 'I have the only antidote' thing. You used it on Iris, and now you used it on me. Let the telepaths do that kind of stuff, alright? I could care less if you hate me, but now my life is on the line, and I'm forced to fight a group of people I've never met in my entire life."
Nail, seemed visably out of breath from his little rant. He had been yelling the whole time, uncontrolably really. Little did he know it was actually cause of the adrenaline. He stood there for a short second, giving glares at the momentarily immobalized Kaz, and looking around the storage room in hesitation.
He didn't know what to do. He hated how these people made him feel so totally useless. He had no freaking choice in the matter. It was either do what they say, or die. Nail wasn't sure he could kill another person... but he couldn't just... run off and slowely die from this poison either. HE would have to take his chances fighting these people. He had to take his chances, and hope that he didn't die, or worse, kill someone else.
"I can't go through that again... I can't kill someone again..."
His eyes locked with Kaz. He was still breathing hard, now simply out of frustration.
