The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Monday night, he made arrangements. He cleared the living room for use before anything else. The classroom’s he’d tried cordoning off for usage never paid off. The teacher’s had shoveled him into the living room and showed him the projector. That was that. It was perfect too! On Tuesday morning he drafted the flyers. He made the first one, and took it to be copied. Wednesday for the rest of the day, he handed them out, posting on the grounds in the permitted places, and scattered a few on the courtyard floor. One flyer got stamped on Sam’s door, and another went on Ghost’s. A third found its way into the trash can near Shawn’s room… he wasn’t quite sure how. He’d put it up, and ten minutes later, whoosh! Trash can city. He replaced it with another flyer, and this one had a smiley face drawn on it. A few other students’ doors were plastered as well. He even put up a note in the obvious place on the bulletin board in the front hall. When all that was said and done, Friday came along.
Shin plopped down the third bowl of popcorn on the table, and danced over to the stack of movies, straightening the pile. He glanced at the doors, then checked his watch. “Quarter till seven,” he muttered, watching the second hand tick by. He hoped people would show up this time.

Walking down a hallway Devon was daydreaming as he strolled past door to door. Looking down at the ground he had a gloomy expression on his face as the bottom of his pajamas pants dragged on the floor. It was a bright day at the mansion as usual but unfortunately Devon's mood didn't match the weather. With his hands tucked in his pockets he chewed on his gum slowly as he reached the end of the hall where the bulletin board was. Stopping suddenly and sighing heavily he looked up slowly as he read the mansion news on the board, examining the board he saw that Shin was having a movie night on Friday which bought a slight smile to Devon's face. Thinking that a movie night at the mansion could be kind of fun and uplifting for him he ran back to his room and figured out what he was going to wear for the big day!
Friday came and Devon tiptoed to the living room from the hallway, "I wonder what movies he's gonna play" he thought as he approached the door. Devon loved movies and especially horror movies, because people getting killed by monsters reminded Devon a lot about his good old days back in Florida. Not only was Devon excited about the movie he was more excited to finally have fun with other mansion members which Devon was joyful about. He never been happy about spending time with other people but the thought of watching movies always brought Devon closer to people. Wearing his green pajamas and a Power Ranger blanket Devon's inner child grew as he opened the door. "Shin!" he shouted as he poked his head threw the door. Walking in he saw Shin in the movie section and made his way towards him. "Hey Shin, long time no see" Devon said as he examined the room.
Friday night. Usually a day the majority of the population enjoyed. It meant no more school and to a lot, no more work for til the week to come. A time where rest and relaxation can begin for the weekend. Or rather if you were wild like Arielle, the perfect night to find a jumpin club to shake and drop it like it's hot. Or rather since being involved in a relationship, her usual routine had been candle light dinners and dancing. Too bad neither were about to happen. Arielle found herself in a rut. Aiden was off on business, which meant no dinners, no dancing, no snuggling. And about the partying, it happened back in Brazil where she could legally get tipsy. No partying with alcohol, no boyfriend...what's a girl to do now?
"Hi...." Arielle said lamely to Devon and Shin, dragging her feet into the living room, almost like the living dead. She was dressed comfortably in her pink mermaid printed pajamas and a black tank top that bore her midriff. Oh, the pink and white tropical fish slippers on her feet were adorable too. Plopping herself on the couch, she stuck her Flounder shaped pillow behind her back and sprawled her Little Mermaid Blanket across her lap. Not that she didn't like being with Shin, she loved him to death and Devon was cool, but to be honest, she would much rather be out with her bookie poo.
"What's tonight's feature?" she asked whipping out a gallon of Ben and Jerry's chocolate Chip cookie dough ice cream and a giant ladle and stuffing her emotionless face."
Three bowls of popcorn contained much potential for an air elemental, entirely too much for an air elemental who believed she was running late.
The sound of wind was subtle and started lowly and mournful before reaching a loud howling crescendo. The popcorn greeted the frazzled Ghost by being sucked up into her swirling, condensing form. The popcorn tornado squeaked. "Oops." Her senses told her there were only three people here being pelted with the stray bits of swirling popcorn. "Sorry, guys! I went to get drinks! Uhm... I-uh."
Several cans of Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng seemingly popped out of thin air. They crashed against each other causing the cans to dent. A slithering sigh sounded around the room. "They were on sale. Sorry I'm late. Where's everyone else?"
The wind funneled tightly, pulling the popcorn that was still air born into a close funnel. The funnel then split into three shapes, hopefully splitting the popcorn before positioning themselves over the bowls again. Then the wind died and suddenly the popcorn was raining down into the receptacles. Two thirds of the popcorn made it back, the rest of the buttery goodness either bounced out of the bowls or had pelted Shin and the Troll Lord.
A semi-transparent Ghost started to re-form behind the couch. First it was like mist, then a see-through girl, and finally it was just a regular girl, pale and juggling several more cans of tea. "Hey Ari, Shin... Oh! I don't believe I've met you!" Ghost bowed to the young man with the green eyes and a few more cans squirted out from between her arms. She was a little scatter-brained today. "I'm Ghost."
Alexandra Leigh, now known as Alexandra Kettler was holding her camera while exiting her room. Right now she wasn't on her spy mission but only getting used with her cover. She began to walk trough the empty hallway turning her camera from left to right, then up and down. The mansion was pretty silent for a place that held tens of mutants of different ages. On her way to the stairs she saw only two girls getting out of their room, talking excited about something. She headed downstairs, still filming, remembering something about a movie night Shin mentioned. Now, the only thing she had to do is to find the living room. Looking around the foyer, she chose to go to the left. Except when she had mistaken the Danger Room for Cerebra in the training session, her intuition was pretty good. And this time served her well. Shin's familiar face among the other three mutants, along with the projector and various foods and drinks, assured her she was in the right place. As the others were talking, Alexandra continued to record from the door step, still unnoticed.

“Hey!” Shin turned to shoot a smile Devon’s way. “Glad you could make it. Nice blanket.” Power Rangers always had been one of his favorite American parodies of Japanese things. It was a parody, right? They couldn’t have gotten further from the source if it wasn’t. Ah well, he’d have to show them the original Zyuranger some time when he got the inkling. Then they’d see 1,000,000 year old space witches and warriors with motor cycles for no explainable reason. Yeah, that’d be good.
“Hi…” Arielle wandered into the room, giving an unenthusiastic greeting. She stepped into the room dressed in Little Mermaid pants and carrying a Flounder-shaped pillow.
“Love the gear,” He quipped.
"What's tonight's feature?" she asked whipping out a gallon of Ben and Jerry's chocolate Chip cookie dough ice cream and a giant ladle and stuffing her emotionless face.
“You’ll find out soon enough. I wanna surprise people.” A torrent of popcorn flew his way, and he casually called up a few shards to block the assault. “… Much like that. Hey Ghost. Thanks for the beverages.”
He walked over to pluck a can of tea from the floor, nudging a pile of popcorn aside to get at it. He popped the top, thanking the air around him green tea wasn’t carbonated.
"They were on sale. Sorry I'm late. Where's everyone else?" Ghost asked as she went to work on clean up. Most of the popcorn made it back to the bowls. The rest, Shin left for the janitor to deal with.
Rattatatat, it’s raining popcorn. Hallelujah, every specimen… A semi-transparent Ghost started to re-form behind the couch.
"Hey Ari, Shin... Oh! I don't believe I've met you!" Ghost bowed to the young man with the green eyes and a few more cans squirted out from between her arms. She was a little scatter-brained today. "I'm Ghost."
“Glad you could make it.” Shin bowed his head, comically dusting a few kernels from his hair. "You're right on time."

"Hey" Shin said as he turned and smiled at Devon, smiling at him back he bowed at Shin for his compliment on his Power Ranger blanket. Devon loved cartoons since he was a child, and even threw his killing years he never been ashamed to express his love for cartoons. Taking his blanket and wrapping it over his neck he turned his head as the door opened slowly, revealing the glamorous Arielle she dragged her way across the room which amused Devon. "Looks like Grandma made it" he said staring at her as she slumped into the room looking like she had better things to do.
"Hi...." she said to Shin and me as she went to the couch. "Arielle you look like death" he said as Arielle as she sat down. Devon had a habit of saying things without thinking them over, which tends to make him have bad first impressions and appear rude. But hey, what do you expect from a ex-killer? "What's tonight's feature?" Arielle asked while taking out her ice cream and a ladle. Shoving off the question as Shin answered it Devon decided to take a seat on the couch and get laid back. While making his way to a couch diagonally across from Arielle a strong breeze flowed in a and a popcorn tornado knocked Devon off balance, landing on his back he covered his eyes with his arms to see what happened.
"Sorry, guys! I went to get drinks! Uhm... I-uh." the air elemental said as several cans of green tea appeared. "Wha..." Devon said picking himself back up from the fall and shaking off some humiliation that bounced threw the room. Seeing the being take shape he saw a beautiful women appear from the gust. "Hey Ari, Shin... Oh! I don't believe I've met you!" she said as she bowed at Devon, "I'm Ghost." Devon smiled at her, besides throwing popcorn at his face Devon felt a good vibe towards her. "I'm Devon Royals, its a honor" he said as he bowed back. "Honor, yeah right" Devon's inner thoughts said as he pulled back up.
Shoving the thought to the back of his head he continued to his desired seat at quickly sat down.
Deathstar heard a rumor of a movie night party from another resident, she thought she was surprise everyone by showing up and getting to know her fellow muties which was definitely not Deathstar's style. Wearing a long thigh length AC/DC shirt, with pink and black knee high socks, she walks confidently in the living room.
"Lots of new faces, I know you guys aren't starting the party without me" she says with a sly smirk on her face, "I'm Deathstar by the way, no need to know who all are, you guys aren't important anyway" she said jokingly showcasing her sarcastic sense of humor. Deathstar plops herself next the guy they call Devon, "So!, who are you?" she asks the green-eyed guy with a bold tone and a confident stare.
"Hi Ghost," Arielle spoke, continuing to eat her ice cream. Then she shot a glare to Devon. Death? She looked like death? Even when she's sick, Arielle still maintained some level of beauty. She pretty much suppressed the urge to give the troll mutant a good thwap across the head and sank back into the couch.
Then another person decided to show up for the screening.
"Lots of new faces, I know you guys aren't starting the party without me" she says with a sly smirk on her face, "I'm Deathstar by the way, no need to know who all are, you guys aren't important anyway" she said jokingly
"...Hi," Arielle spoke to the blonde. "Nice to meet you too..." she said turning forward again to nom on the cookie dough goodness.
Ghost embarrassedly picked up the remains of her mess. "It is nice to meet you, Mister Royals." Ghost nodded to Deathstar when she joined them as well. She'd only seen the older girl around the Mansion briefly in all the time she'd lived there. She supposed their schedules just didn't match up.
Ten or so cans of slightly dented iced tea stood on the coffee table between the pop corn bowls. She'd bought at least 12, but some already had cans in their hands. That made her smile. At least they were accepting her contribution. She was afraid they might prefer soda or something carbonated, but she just couldn't bare the carbonation. The gases tasted so... stale and forced.
Ghost's next task was to scoop up as much pop corn as she could off the ground before they unwittingly ground it into the floor. All in all it wasn't much to clean and it was her fault anyway. "Just glad I made it before things really get started." She scooped the last bits of popcorn into her skirt and used it to carry the popped kernels to the trash. She liked skirts with flouncy layers for this very reason. You don't need pockets when you have layers.
After all was said and done, Ghost settled on a as of yet uninhabited part of couch and watched the pleasantries unfold around her with a smile.
Alexandra zoomed the camera on each of the members that were in that room. Shin welcoming the other Mansion residents to the movie night, the other boy making comments one one of the girls that didn't to be too enthusiastic about being there, another cleaning up the popcorn from the floor, and, the last, a blonde that barely got there and already started a conversation. She moved the camera on Shin's face and zoomed, smiling. She wondered how is that with all these mutants in here and her presence was yet to be discovered.
Strolling through the mansion on a friday night was no some thing she planned to do but there was not much else to do she did not trust herself out there. At least in here she could be stopped if worse came to worse. And so strolling through she caught wiff of a few student converging on a single point with snacks and they where just down the hall. She was pleased that they had snacks which meant that she would not have to go to the kitchen to grab things out the fridge. She never had the patients to make an thing and so premade snacks where the best kinda snacks for her. with the moon being barely half she figured it would be safe to interact with some of her fellow students she had know almost no one since she had arrived in the mansion. Upon arriving at the door to the room with the other students Mir stopped outside and thought to herself about what she would say to them in the room they had no idea who she was and she wanted to make a good impression. "Miracle You can do this since you started getting fury you have honestly be avoinding people like they can see it on your skin," she said looking back toward her tail."Well maybe they can see it but still," Walking into the room slowly she observed a few small social interactions and wondered why she could not just head over there and be like a normal girl her age. Getting a a better wiff of those who were in the room she quick formed opinions of them. She had a bad habit of doing that since she could smell special properties on mutants she picked up that one person in the room smelled like they were not there. she counted with her finger pointing at the amount of people in the room but it did not match the amount of scents some thing was wrong it bugged her but she figured she would wait and not say any thing.

Sitting in the chair Devon's imagination soared across the room as his dreams sinked into reality. Hearing faint sounds around him he drifted from the people inside the living room as he slowly began falling asleep, "So!, who are you?" a women said as Devon awakened quickly. Looking at the blond thin women next to him and smiling Devon thought he was dreaming, "oh this is a sexy dream' Devon whispered at the girl while nodding back to sleep. Rocking his head side to side he slowly sank back to his chair and licked his lips.
After a couple of minutes of hearing the faint conversations Devon got tired of being tired "start the movie Shin" he said tiredly. Sinking back into his wonderland he dreamed of himself back in Florida when he was a child, being locked inside a mansion with his mean uncle he swore under his breath as he twist and turned under his power ranger blanket.

((OOC note: The first major scene of Garo does contain minor nudity in the form of a topless painting. If anyone is offended by this, don’t click the link. Thank you. Disclaimer, end.))
“Welp,” Shin glanced at his watch as the half-awake Devon nudged him to start the movie. “It looks like all those who planned to show up have done so, and we have a wide selection of faces for the showing.” He paused to smile at Loup and Deathstar, nodding his head. “Greetings, you stragglers. Now, let’s get this show on the road!!” And without further ado, he dove for the couch and hit play!
The screen flickered to life as he got himself comfortable between Arielle and Ghost. The ’movie’ began.
“Where there is light, shadows lurk and fears reign. Yet by the blade of knights, mankind was given hope.” A sword sliced through the screen, and magical arms appeared! Then swordsmen in shadows, dancing against a background of black and red, more slicing, some guy in gold armor, cutting down demons, all to epic Jam Project music. Lips… and then a talking silver head. Shin hit pause, turning to the audience expecting stunned silence.
“Um, yeah… this is Garo. Might want to explain that before we dive in I guess…” He smiled weakly at the audience, rising to announce the movie. “And technically, it’s not a movie. It’s a Japanese television show about a golden knight who cuts down horrors with a golden sword. And it’s awesome. Any questions?”
He looked around the room nervously. It always was a little embarrassing sharing one’s favorite TV show. How would this audience react?
"This is not a dream hun, this is reality" Deathstar laughs to herself as Devon fights his sleep, "you mind sharing your blanket" Deathstar asked as she slowly pulled some of his power ranger blanket on herself. "Power ranger fan eh!, nice to see they have dedicated fans" she says with a small hint of a smile on her face. Deathstar pulled her knees to her chest while laying her head on Devon's shoulder to get more comfortable, "no funny business" she said to Devon as shin starts the movie.
“Um, yeah… this is Garo. Might want to explain that before we dive in I guess…” He smiled weakly at the audience, rising to announce the movie. “ said Shin
"Looks like something I can get into watching, nice special effects I might add" she said as she nodded toward shin.
