The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was a warm evening, not to chilly but not sweltering either. It was just the perfect evening to be out in the park. The natural trees and foliage killing of the sounds and sights of the city of New York for the most part. The shimmering lights of the towers and what bit of the moon you can see coated the open area where Anthony stood in a mystical glow. Leaning to the left and stretching he thought of his previous encounter at the bar the other day. 'She was definitely off of her rocker, but she still made a valid point.' Rolling to the right, and leaning forward completing his stretching routine. 'Maybe I am here to recreate the world, better it for those that god has blessed with gifts. Remove the impurities that taint his perfect world.'
Slipping his head phones in and turning on his mp3 player to finish the drowning process leaving only him, his thoughts and the area around him. He began moving through the first tier of the motions swaying and flowing like living water, reaching his inner peace. His body undulating to the music playing in hears ears. Running his thoughts through his head trying to make a cohesive idea of what he should do. Loosing him self into the rhythm of thinking and the focus of the tai-chi. His firm hold over his powers slacked creating ribbons of lights to swirl and vibrate around him reaching adn pulling as he does, his body glowing with a deep violet light as his thoughts were muddled between peace and anger. Orbs drifted in and out growing brighter and dimmer as he continued all through the process of his exercises The shear beauty of this scene would cause most to stop and stare at the young Red-headed man standing in only a pair of black yoga pants. his pack not to far from him but enough out of the way that he would trip over it.
Then came the rain soft and gentle, warm water Pouring from the sky, as if the heavens were answering him, The rain cleansing the world of impurities just as it had done in the beginning of time, and the time of Moses. Refracting and changing the lights as the drops pass through it. The entire time he thoughts rang through his head he couldn't focus his mind until he felt the rain soaking him washing away the dirt and sweat from his body leaving only him the lights and the motions. 'I will be the bring of light... I will be the instrument of purifying.. I will be...' "Lucifer" He spoke out calmly but in an oddly authoritative tone. The light pulled back to him blazing around his body as if it were a set of Angelic wings of Light spreading open from his back.moving with him in time to his dancing and motions of his art form.
Sleeping in Central Park was probably not the brightest of ideas, even for those that were fairly safe from harm, if not from mutation then from reputation. Isabel was probably one of the last individuals that strangers would go out of their way to bother. The media helped to ensure that her face was well known, even if her crimes were still supposedly cleared. Not that she'd planned on sleeping in the Park in the first place. She'd simply wanted to get away from the Sanctuary for a while and relax. The issues that had cropped up within the past few days had done their very best to fray her nerves and exercise her temper. She had decided that getting out and away from some of the busier areas of the city would help settle her mind and cool her recent rise of anger, so she'd set out to wander around some of the less frequently visited areas of the Park for the afternoon.
The lack of invading people and the following temptation to remove them from her presence was a nice change. She hadn't felt much like dealing with anyone after her latest argument that very well could have turned into another one of her casual killings. An afternoon out wandering and thinking to herself was what she believed she needed. For a few hours she'd moved from place to place, trying to let the nice weather positively affect her mood and help her to mellow out. However, soon enough she'd found a particularly soft spread of earth and sat down in the grass, only to lay down in it shortly after and watch the clouds drift by. It didn't take too long before she'd become calm enough to drift off in the middle of her cloud watching.
With a start, she awoke what must have been hours later, judging by how dark the sky had gotten. She hadn't so much as stirred during her little siesta until rain had started falling. She couldn't remember ever having fallen asleep outside like that, in the very least without waking up much sooner. Blaming it on her latest mental and emotional upset, she climbed to her feet, brushing her bangs back from her face to relive them of some of the water that had soaked into the hair before letting it flop back down against her forehead. Even though the rain wasn't cold, and there was little to no wind, she didn't really feel up to staying out in the light storm for longer than she had to. Wiping the droplets from her face, she set off in the direction of the city streets. She'd make her way back to the Sanctuary where she could change out of her quickly soaking clothes and maybe crawl into bed for some more proper rest.
She didn't end up getting too far from where she'd settled down before a fluctuating light arrested her attention. For a brief moment she debated whether to pursue it or to keep going and forget about it. But, her curiosity being what it was, she couldn't bring herself to leave without at least seeing what the source of the light was. Carefully picking her way over to the patch of earth where the shifting lights blinked in and out of life and illuminated the rain that fell around it, she once again slowed to a stop a few yards from her discovered source.
A young man wasn't exactly what she'd expected. However, mutants weren't exactly rare around New York, and with more and more of them becoming less shy about showing off exactly what they could do, the option of running into them was never completely out of the question. For a few moments she simply watched as the young man moved about, apparently dancing to a beat she couldn't hear, her attention quickly caught up in the spectacle the ribbons and orbs of light were creating. Even the boy's very body seemed to be glowing, the intensity only that much greater in contrast to the natural light given off by the moon. Within the next few moments she slowly moved a little closer to the stranger, taking a seat on the wet grass, paying no heed to the moisture as her clothing was already pretty much drenched. The word he spoke was lost to her, though the final gathering of the light was far more interesting to her mind anyhow. "Impressive display there," she called, giving a grin should the boy hear her and turn to look at her. "What a shame that you'd waste such talent out here where no one can see you."

The rain, the darkness, the moonlight and him alone...it felt so right in this place as he moved through his final set of forms centering himself around the idea of being an instrument of change.the ground soft beneath his feet from the lack of people walking on it' and the accumulation of rain since he began his meditations made him feel more focused on his goals. Letting the wings of light flare out around him changing in colors from deep crimsons to darker shades of violet to the haunting hue of a black light and back to start over again in a rhythmic flow. He began to focus on his powers bringing the ribbons of light to him wrapping them around his arms forcing the orbs or light to circle him in a helix pattern changing colors with the faux wings building towards the final movement the last push. All the lights all his efforts with is thoughts pulled in and then instantly shoved forward with his hands all of it flung from him in a swirling image of light flying from him to the reach of his control testing his limits. Then a brilliant Flash of pure white as if a massive camera went 'click'. Then only Anthony, a drenched slightly glowing boy of 19 with soaked auburn hair clinging to his body stood with the look of determination upon his face his blue eyes glowing under their own light.
"Impressive display there," she called, giving a grin should the boy hear her and turn to look at her. "What a shame that you'd waste such talent out here where no one can see you."
He stood still tensed for a moment, as he ran the comment through is mind, 'If they were going to have attacked me they would have by now, and if they were scared they would have left already." Turning slowly to face the direction of the voice his taut body rippled with each movement as a panther would gauging it's prey. He finally spotted the woman looking just as drenched as he did but asides from those two details he couldn't glean much more from her at this pivotal moment. "Thank you... Though most never get to see me do that." leaning over but never taking his eyes of of her he strode over and reclaimed his bag and walked towards her but keeping enough distance after his last encounter with a strange woman after dark he could never be to careful.
The continued display put on by the young man Isabel has discovered reminded her of a cross between fireworks and the decorations that had little LED lights set into them which continuously flowed from one color to another. It was easy to say she'd never seen such a performance created by a mutant before, and she was almost fully absorbed in the spectacle, despite the fact that she had to squint or shade her eyes every so often when the light grew a little too bright, particularly with the last bright flash that seemed to mark the end of the dance. Little spots danced in her vision for a short while as her eyes slowly recovered from the intensity of the last flash. Absentmindedly she brushed her fingers over her eyes, almost as if it'd make the spots fade faster, though the main purpose was again to rid herself of some of the water dripping onto her skin. The rain almost felt as if it was getting heavier.
The fact that he looked as if she'd startled him when she'd spoken only caused her grin to grow. She was used to causing a range of apprehensive emotions in others, though the majority of them were humans and the emotion manifested themselves for far different reasons. In any case she found some level of delight in creating such a reaction in someone. When he finally turned and spotted her, her grin shifted into a smug smile, one eyebrow quirked in his direction as she watched him proceed to gather his belongings. "I never did understand why so many mutants try to hide themselves whenever they want to exercise their abilities," she commented, getting to her feet as the stranger approached, crossing her arms as she did so. "Whatever it is that you were just doing there was really very interesting. You should be proud of what you can do. Then again, I may just be one of the more confident individuals among us." Or more reckless. Getting yourself put on a most wanted list wasn't exactly something that most people were proud of or considered to be a product of something as simple as confidence. "What are you doing out here by yourself, anyways?"
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Stading there as the rain poured down and letting it run all down his body. "I'm out here because I wanted the space to push myself as far as I can control it, that and I prefer it out here it reminds me of home." His British accent purring out around the words. Flashing one of those cheesey smiles with the sparkling teeth. Anthony contied walking towards her wiping the hair and water from his face. The rain was coming harder and faster.Extending his hand, "My names Anthony and you are?"
He took this time to really look at the woman. She was attractive it one was into that which he wasn't but she still had an appeal to her. They looked about the same age carrying the still Child like look but hers was hardened whether from a hard life or hard choices he didn't know. Although hearing her comments he knew she was a mutant hopefully this one could actually be of some help instead of creeping him out and then just disappearing.
Lightning flashed across the sky, white washing everything out unitl all but darkness and Anthony's own light was left until the eyes readjusted to the new found darkness once a gain. "Perhaps you would join me for something to eat? My treat?' Waiting only so much longer would be advisable. With the weather turning as it is now seems to be the perfect time for a small meal and some conversation. After all every person he has met here seems to want to talk and let their opinions of the world be known. Since he has chosen to help change the world mayhaps this is the way to figure out how.
The offered explanation did make sense. It wasn't unusual for some to go off by themselves to train and push themselves. It was easier to do so without distractions from other people. Isabel wasn't usually one to stay by herself whenever she felt the itch to test herself. It was unfortunate for the human society that they were more often than not her test subjects, and humans were never in short supply. It was more fun than the Training Room at the Sanctuary in any case. Holograms and robots just couldn't compare to real carnage. And as an addition to the training, she considered it to be a working solution to the problem that is humanity. She was part of an anti-human faction, after all. One less homo sapien crawling around was for the greater good. However, recently she'd been avoiding what her usual outings included. She'd promised one of her Orderlings that she'd try to stop going out of her way to cause problems. That's not to say that she'd stop all together, but she was trying to be good.
"My name's Isabel. It's nice to meet you, Anthony," she replied, noting the accent as she accepted the offered hand and released it once more when appropriate. The sudden flash of lightning successfully caused her to start, her smile dropping and her eyes going a fraction wider in her surprise, her gaze automatically turning skyward for the moment. Apparently she hadn't been mistaken in thinking the rain had gotten heavier. A loud crash of thunder didn't waste too much time following the flash, the rumble drawing itself out and slowly fading. "I've gotta say, you picked a great night to come out and practice," she commented, her grin quickly replaced as the rumbles died out. Mostly she was being sarcastic in a friendly manner, though part of her was serious. Personally, she liked storms, though it was nicer to be curled up inside, under an over-sized blanket when they struck, rather than sitting out in the middle of them. She may very well follow up on that line of thinking once she made it back to the Sanctuary.
Her attention was easily drawn back down to her newest acquaintance upon hearing his proposal. She couldn't remember the last time she'd been treated to a meal, not that she bothered going out to eat all that often in the first place. She didn't see any reason not to take up the offer. The kid seemed nice enough, and she was perfectly capable of taking care of herself should things turn around. Plus, it would get her out of the rain a little faster, not that a speedy escape was really necessary since she was already so wet. "Sure, that sounds good to me. Have you go anywhere in mind?" she asked, casting a glance in the direction of the city and beginning to wonder what time it was. If it was getting too late, they might have trouble finding a place that was still open. "How about some pizza?"
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Entranced as he was by his new found revalation to himself and add in how focused and centered he was after such a work out it was hard for him to imagine another possible mutant in two days to approach him. This one however was like himself to his own thoughts some one who understood that these 'powers' were not random but an act of a higher power giving them the strength to change to world and rid it of the impurities. Her smile carried many volumes of words and emotions. Untold powers, fears, angers, and hatreds yet there was still the pure belief that what she was doing was right. In those breif few moments he thought she might become a kindred spirit in his new found cause, maybe a mentor...maybe.. just maybe a real friend.
Smiling as another flash of lighting shot through the sky. " I think pizza would be great I know a place just outside of the park that is still open and it's real pizza not that trade marked and logo bollocks.' Extending his arm as an offer for her to take it. HE smiled noting now how long her hair was and he was getting kind of curious. Not so much the kind that killed the cat well he hoped not but he was still in that thought.
As the clouds drifted by pouring their justice on the world and the air screamed with thunder in the distance, and blazed with lightning, and the smell of charged ions filled the air he couldn't help but think that this meeting was much more of gods hand than the last. After all she has tried to kill him yet. "If I might be so bold what is your gift?"
Absentmindedly Isabel's gaze again flickered from Anthony to the sky and back again as another bolt of lightning lit up the sky for a few brief seconds. She was just able to catch the words he spoke before another roll of thunder crashed, rumbled, and faded away. It seemed as if she didn't have to worry too much about the time or the closing hours of the nearby restaurants. It also seemed as if she'd stumbled upon a gentleman. With a bit of a surprised smile, she linked her arm through his as it was offered. "Sounds like you know your was around here pretty well," she commented, allowing him to take the lead, as she wasn't really sure exactly where he planned on heading. She hadn't pegged him for a New York resident. At least, not one that had been in the city for too long. She was meeting new people all the time, and while not everyone knew exactly who she was, the majority of the city's civilians would probably at least recognize her face from somewhere in the news.
It sounded to her as if the thunder was steadily getting closer, the rumbles also booming out within shorter intervals between flashes of lightning. It made her a little uneasy out in the Park's clearings. She'd feel a little more at ease once they were able to get in out of the weather and relax a little while they drip dried. "I'm a bone manipulator," she replied in answer to his question. "I can do just about anything with my skeleton, and I'm learning to do the same to other people's bones." She was in no way anywhere near as practiced in manipulating foreign skeletal structures, but she was working on it slowly, her experiments falling into the category of training that had been mentioned earlier. "And what exactly is it you do? I mean, from what I saw in that little display of yours I assume it's something to do with light, but you never can be one hundred percent sure with mutants."
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
After her acceptance of his arm he started leading her briskly through the park using the trees to blot out most of the rain as he glowed lightly illuminating their path.. The sounds of the water in the leaves calming the dire situation of being in a thunder storm. Being alone in the park in this weather kept it to being a nice if not wet eveing.
"I can do just about anything with my skeleton, and I'm learning to do the same to other people's bones." Hearing this statement made him cringe at the mental image he got in his mind but at the same time he chuckled because of the images that followed. "Well I know who I am coming to if I ever break anything." He laughed slightly trying to lighten the mood about the quasi-seriousness of the conversation.
She seemed to be thinking for a moment about something before the next obvious turn in the conversation began, "And what exactly is it you do? I mean, from what I saw in that little display of yours I assume it's something to do with light, but you never can be one hundred percent sure with mutants."
Nodding in agreement with her to a point, "Well as you can see," waving his free hand towards his body and glowing arm linked with hers. " I was given the ablility to create and manipulate light as a whole or in it's parts. Although I have spent much of my time since it showed up playing with it making dramatics than figuring out if I could fight with it'." As he talked he made swirls of light appear in his free hand, changing the colors, phasing the pattern in a sphere, strobe it, making an illuminated image like he had earlier but on a much smaller scale. A Silver lite dove flew from his hand but just looking at it you new that is was just light being focused as it would never be able to pass for a real bird, maybe a ghost bird as it had not substance and flew through his hand instead of landing on it.
Reaching the edge of the haven that was central park the entered into the loud raucousness of the steel and concrete jungle of the city making a bee-line a few blocks away towards 'George's Pizza'. Which he had discovered on accident one time trying to get out of the rain. Ironic he thought as he was doing the same thing again.
Isabel simply grinned at the comment concerning the mending of broken bones. She most certainly could fix someone's fracture. However, it was far more complicated than fixing her own injuries. A complex break would take much more time, especially if there were splinters of the bone floating around in the flesh, which she'd have to locate and contact in order to put them in their place. The biggest problem would probably lie in numbing the surrounding flesh. Other peoples' bodies didn't function like hers did, so messing around with their skeletal structure would be far from comfortable for any of them. The little details could be spared for now, though. Rather than voice them and add any gorier aspects to her given mutation, she simply let the details sift through her mind as her newest companion went on to explain his own abilities.
Easily her full attention was once again captured as Anthony decided to give a small display to accompany the explanation he offered for his mutation. It really was quite beautiful, even when it was shrunken down to a smaller scale. She'd never seen anyone handle something like light in quite the same way. "You seem to be very creative in your thinking," she commented, smiling widely as the ghostly bird flitted about in its bodiless existence. "I'm sure you could figure out how to use that offensively if you really needed too. Seems like it would be real easy to blind someone at least. That could work to your advantage, both offensively and defensively." Briefly she wondered if controlling light also gave the ability to generate some heat, but another crash of thunder successfully distracted and scrambled her thoughts before she could voice the inquiry, her mind once again brought back to reality and their soaking situation.
Carefully she matched her pace to his, not wanting to slow him down and keep him out in the bad weather for longer than necessary, taking note of which direction they were headed in, should she like to visit their destination at another time. She gave a small sigh once they had finally reached the restaurant and were able to step inside out of the rain. Briefly she paused to wring out her hair a bit over the mat meant to scrub mud off of the boots of incoming customers. Once satisfied with that, she moved on to find a table for the two of them to sit at. "So what brings you to New York, Anthony?" she asked, once they were seated, meshing her fingers together so she could rest her chin on them, propping it up with her elbows on the tabletop. "No offense or anything, but you don't exactly sound like you're from around here."
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Taking his seat he pulled a leg up underneath him getting comfortable. Looking over the table menu you as the settled themselves in. "Well I graduate from the performing arts school where I grew up. Creativity is a must for any art form you choose or else you are just mimicking and not creating.' he told Isabel as he decided on his choice of dinner. He noticed his hands as he was holding the menu and he watched at the he dimmed his glow down considerable and as usual made the restaurant brighter over time to hide himself more easily plus it just made it feel nicer in there.
"Oh, i can do flashes with out much of a problem, I just really haven't ever focused on the combat side of my gift I have ran into other gifted people but none with something like mine. Thiers were almost always combat sided powers with out any creativity to them."
He looked her in the eyes,' Well you are correct I am not from the states." Blushing slightly,"I grew up outside of London. Lived there up unitl about a year ago, Up until two days ago I worked as a dance instructor locally now I have no place to go." He mused as the Stocky older man in a grease stained apron toddled over to them the smell of flour and spices clinging to him.
"What can I get'cha?" His thicker accent of the locals poured out. Leaning to his left as he spoke favoring his right side.
"I'll have a 10 inch Garden pizza with a bottled water," he ordered not knowing what she would want.Looking to Isabel in that nice smile of his practically saying 'get whatever you want.
As she listened to Anthony speak, Isabel also scanned over the menu, paying more attention to her company than to her meal choices. She knew exactly what he meant about creating versus mimicking when it came to the arts, absentmindedly smiling at the found common ground between them aside from them both being mutants. "So you're into performance. What area do you practice in? I paint a little myself, though it's mostly just on the walls in my room. I'm probably put a bit more thinking into my mutation than into my scribbles," she replied, flickering her gaze from menu to mutant. With the sudden onset of added drama in her life, she'd probably do a little more thinking in her painting hobby. Her room desperately needed to be fixed up. She'd nearly trashed the entire thing after her latest outing with a certain shape-shifter.
Briefly Isabel wondered what it would be like to have a less offensive mutation. Right away she doubted that it would suit her personality or activities. She didn't really think she'd like having a more defensive ability. "Maybe heat can be an area of concentration. Depending on what kind of light you manipulate, you could probably factor that in to do some damage," she offered, seeing if she could be at all helpful. "Illusion could always work to your advantage, too. Like that bird. Distraction are usually a good mix to throw into a fight, provided you're able to use the advantages they provide."
She'd figured about as much about his origins as they were revealed. And she was sorry to hear that he seemed to be out of a job at the moment. She only had a brief time to contemplate his situation before her attention was grabbed by one of the restaurant employees offering to take their orders. A brief flicker of her gaze in Anthony's direction, and she went on to answer the question, "I'd like a ten inch Hawaiian pizza. With a coke, please." As the waiter jotted down their order on a small notepad and moved off toward the kitchen, she turned her attention back to her companion, bringing the last comments spoken to the forefront of her mind. "Sorry to hear about your job, Anthony. I can't really do anything to help with that, but if you need somewhere to go, I know a great place. I live there myself. It's called the Sanctuary. It's basically a shelter for mutants to go when they don't have a home. It's free to stay there, and they aren't gonna kick you out after a set period of time. I think I've been there about two years now. It's more like a five star hotel than a shelter. I'm sure you'd like it."
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Sitting there waiting on their food he pondered everything that was going in his life. He had maybe a month more on his rent left and then he would have nothing.Barely having any food in his place which wasn't that unusual for him since he rarely ate at home. He needed a job some way to make some money that was at least legit. Carding his fingers through the still damp locks of hair in frustration.
"I would but I would feel bad staying there for nothing. I would much rather work for my room and keep, than to be looked at as a charity case anymore of my life." He sighed heavily not wanting to really hold in anymore and felt even more vulnerable and upset because he was getting ready to breakdown in front of a complete stranger. "I mean hell I was dumped at an orphanage at 6 because my parents thought I was the devil himself, with all my glowing. Never had any friends, no real life, I bust my buns off working and going to school to come here and then end up getting fired because I am a bloody poof." He open hand slammed the table causing the lights int eh places to flare brightly, flickering quite unnaturally. his own glow become a fierce glimmer of crimson, and his eyes fading to the iridescent color of a black light. As more and more memories from his child hood boiled up from under what was his once cool exterior, he fought to calm himself to control it but he was tired of holding int in... tired of being in control of only himself he wanted more than what has been laid in front of him and he was starting to realize that he deserved more than what people have chosen to give him as a pity, or a charity gift.
Blinking he focused himself on the determination, it was the same determination that boiled through him when he decided to become the light the instrument of god's will and change that he was apart of. the leaving of humanity behind to become what has begun to emerge as his new creation his new gift to the world, and the old must be washed away. Reigning himself in with this resolve he pulled his hand back from the table noticing what looked like a slightly melted spot in the linoleum coating, as he replied. " As long as I can make a difference for our kind while being there and carry my end of the load I will take you up on the offer. He paused to look her in the eyes with his still void of the natural blue light but slowly fading in as he spoke and gained his composure back. "If there is way to do that there?'
It seemed like Isabel had touched on some kind of nerve without meaning to do so. The first comment about wanting to pay to stay somewhere confused her a little. Most people would kill to be able to stay somewhere for free, especially if it was a nice as the Sanctuary. However, not everyone's sense of responsibility was as fine tuned as others. She could respect his wish to pay for a room, though it really was unnecessary. The next flood of words was a little unexpected as well. Mutants usually either hid their pasts, or shared it with other mutants they came across, as if trying to find some more common ground with each other. Anthony's story was more of an outburst. She gave an involuntary start when his hand smacked down on the table. A nerve she had certainly touched.
Calmly she listened and waited as he fought to get his temper under control, her gaze flickering between him and the rest of the room as the lighting adjusted and his own glow changed colors. However, she most certainly liked what she heard, a satisfied smile slowly spreading across her features. Here was another mutant that wanted what was best for their kind, who wanted to get in on the process of improving it. It sounded very promising. "It's not a way of treating you as a charity case, Anthony," she replied, once she was sure he'd finished speaking. "I'm not inviting you to the Sanctuary because I feel sorry for you. I'm letting you know it's an option because you're one of my own and because the Sanctuary is there for our kind so we can be amongst each other without the prejudices of the human world. We look out for each other. We don't slink around pitying each other for the misfortunes the world shoves at us."
Of course, she now had ulterior motives aside from the ones she'd given. His attitude matched up very well with the overall goal of the Order, and she simply loved finding new mutants to bring into her little family. "There is most certainly a way for you to help our kind and pull your weight at the same time. You don't have to worry about paying for anything, but it's still work in a sense. I do the same, myself. Since Ive been there so long and have been contributing the entire time, I've probably got a small fortune stashed away somewhere that I hardly ever even touch, though I make sure I still do my share so that I feel like I'm actually helping out at the Sanctuary. How about we get these pizzas to go and we can discuss the matter on the way over to the place. It's not exactly a conversation that should be held in present company," she continued, pointing a finger over at the waiter that had only made it about halfway between the kitchen and their table. He seemed to have forgotten the tray in his hands as he just stood and stared at the pair, Anthony mostly. Isabel simply quirked a brow at the employee. "What, you never seen a kid glow before?"
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
"Really, there is a place for all of this to happen?" He smiled blissfully as he thought about all of his sudden choices and revaluations coming to fruition. 'God certainly has given me a great chance to prove myself to him indeed,' he thought to himself He couldn't contain the feeling that his prayer to clense the world of impurities had been answered so quickly but his work had only just begun.
Looking at Isabel and smiling as he listened more to her story about what this place was like and what they were already doing to affect the will of his master and lord upon the world his heart soared and his colors chose to show it themselves. Following her line of site to the waiter standing there dumbfounded looking at him like he was impure. When the human was the impurity to god. Why else would he have caused mutants o emerge with gifts so miraculous and wonderful if not to begin the new age. Bringing his face back towards hers. "I agree Show me this sanctuary and I will get the pizza and since our waiter seems so put out I will get it from him. but I suggest looking the other way."
Standing slowly as he did so gracefully almost like a panther readying to lunge at it's prey but with a smoothness that belied his true intentions. He sauntered over to the waiter taking the pizzas from him, fortunately already boxed as it was late, as well as their drinks sliding them up under his arm. The dark lights twitched along his back out of the view of the waiter but easily enough for Isabel to see them. As soon as he had the pizza and drinks secure they flared out into the image of the wings he had done just a while earlier in the park spanning out from him imposingly, "You shouldn't stare, it's impolite, But I will let you live with this vision of Gods perfection forever as the last thing you saw!" With his free hand quickly drawn in front of the poor humans face he snapped his fingers in such a melodramatic way while at the same time causng such intense bright white light frying the retinas of this man to where he would be blind for a time if not forever due to his age.
The mans startled screams and protest made him elate in the power that god had given him to get such admiration from his lords inferior creations. Turning back to Isabel, his wings flapping twice and then vanishing. "Let's walk, and talk... I would love to see this place as long as what you said holds true.. I see this being a most wonderful opportunity that god has set before me..us."
