The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Isabel turned her gaze away from the staring waiter to look back at Anthony when he spoke to her again. She could only grin at his advice for her to look away while he dealt with the human. She couldn't recall a single time when advice like that had actually helped anyone. Everyone peeked when they were told not to. It was just too tempting. And she didn't even bother with peeking, she didn't even bother trying to hide the fact that her gaze followed right after him as he rose and moved to approach the employee. She wanted to see what he would do, especially since he didn't seem to think his mutation gave him much of an advantage when it came to offense.
She couldn't help but grin widely as Anthony flared out his dark light wings. She hadn't thought the older man's eye could get any wider. It turned out she was mistaken. They looked about ready to roll out of his head at any minute. It was fortunate that her companion had thought to take their order from the man's grip before continuing. Really, it was kind of amazing he hadn't let everything slip to the floor at the first showing of the glowing mutant's mutation. The wings coupled with the addition of his words about God's perfection was a nice mix. However, unlike the unfortunate man, she understood what he meant and promptly dropped her gaze before the bright flash went off. She didn't want to catch any part of that man's punishment.
Isabel was barely able to keep from laughing as the older man began screaming, swearing, and threatening the pair he could no longer see. She just found it funny watching the man fall back and writhe and thrash around on the ground. She smiled over at Anthony as he returned, noting his wings' disappearance in the process. Offering to carry her half of their dinner, she gave a nod and headed for the door. She'd explain a little further when they were a short way away from the restaurant. With all that yelling and banging around, someone was bound to show up and see what was going on. Briefly she debated taking care of the issue of the man's voice, but her interest in seeing where this conversation would lead kept her from following up on her line of thought.
"Now," she started, once they'd gotten out on the street and were headed toward the direction of the Sanctuary, "The best way to get in on the action when it comes to helping mutants is to join in with the little group that lives at the Sanctuary. We're still a secret to the public for now, but that doesn't mean we're always discreet about what we do." The public knew that there was a group of mutants out there that terrorized the human population, but as far as she could tell no one had figured out some of them all belonged to a single faction. It was also fairly well known that the Sanctuary housed a few morally questionable mutants, but again, it wasn't common knowledge that the Order lived there as well. "We'll be announcing ourselves eventually, but thus far anonymous work has been fine for us. For the most part we're looking to take our rightful place in society above the humans that keep trying to stamp us out. I can't promise what we do is always what is seen to be morally correct, but we're doing our best to work for a better existence for mutants."

The complete rush of using his powers in such a straight forward manner sent tingles through out his body. The total euphoric rush was new and tantalizing to him, just having that kind of control over someone was addictive. He knew now why god had given him these gifts, or at least that is what he believed. Handing Isabel her pizza and drink the strolled out of the diner and into the dark streets of New York, leaving behind the anguished screams of a pitiful man.
The storm had broken leaving the scent of clean life and freshness clung to the air. The plethora of lights and the sounds of the city drowning out the world in a symphony of life. He couldn't help but keep his wicked grin as he thought about how much more he could do to help his people. To lead them in the righteous path that god had given him.
"I think I will like the Sanctuary and this group, especially if they are among the chosen the gifted, like us. I have spent to long my whole life actually ignoring the world. I had started to doubt myself then you came." He spoke as they walked him following her not really knowing where she would be taking him. Only knowing that it would be the start of his true calling and his rise to greatness in the eyes of god. Tossing his auburn locks behind his shoulder lookin at his savior so to speak. She was his fulcrum, sent by god in his hour of need to bring him the truth. "You came and brought me the truth .. thank you Isabel.' staring into her eyes trying to show how much this 'chance' meeting meant to him.
The stroll and conversation were nice. But he still felt the power inside him yearning to be used again his body responding in like to the feelings of power and dominance. " I have one more question.. Are there any hot guys there?" He laughed out in hsi most desireable voice and smiled, truly smiled. He could care less whatthe humans thought about him now, he had his own kind, a family of sorts even if he didn't know them they were still more alike in thier path in life than humans could ever hope to obtain in the eyes of his master.
"I tried ignoring the world once, but I guess I just ended up resenting it more instead. I've had a lot more opportunities to vent since I started living in the Sanctuary. Though I have to say my venting is anything but healthy for the human population," she replied, giving a knowing smirk as she did so. "From the sound of it, I bet you'll feel better about yourself and all this mutant versus human crud once you get a involved with things in the Sanctuary and as a part of the Order. That's the name of our group, by the way. I'm also second in command. I think you'll like the people involved. They're kind of like a family." To her they were, at least. More of a family than her biological relatives had every been, anyhow. She'd pick those in the Order a thousand times over any day.
Casting a glance over at Anthony, she gave a smile at his thanks. "It's no trouble at all, Anthony. I didn't really do anything spectacular aside from offering you a place to stay," she replied her smile widening a little as she turned back to watch where she was going. She'd lost track of how many mutants had come and gone from the Sanctuary over the past few years, a good portion of which her and the Order had invited themselves. She hadn't even had to go too far out of her way to find this particular mutant. The Sanctuary wasn't all that far away from his chosen restaurant. Taking a cab might have been faster, but it was easily within walking distance as well.
With his last posed question she couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, her smile turning more into a grin. "Yeah, we've got a few guys that are fairly easy on the eyes in the Order, and there's probably more hanging out at the Sanctuary somewhere. We've got a decent crowd of people living there, so it shouldn't be too hard to find some," she responded, her grin softening a bit as she spotted the famed entrance way to the Sanctuary up ahead. "That's it, just up there," she continued, pointing a finger to the building just a short distance away. "It's the one with the big golden doors."

The walk was nice and the company was even nicer, he knew he would fit in here like every other place that he had lived or been forced into. These people, her Isabel could relate to him like no one lse could. HIs faith was well placed as far as he was concerned and she was his guardian angel. "No it means a lot to me that you showed up when you did. I don't have any friends here, actually I don't have any friends. I have always just kept to myself and danced." Continuing the walk he began to wonder how far away this place actually was from the park.
He smiled brightly when she answered him about having some eye candy or something more at the Sanctuary. Then she talked some about the active side of the place calling it the Order, Which really made him think and feel that ity would be the best place for him. "SO is there and entry fee or an exam of some kind to join or is it more or less anyone can become a member?" His face gave away his hope that it was exclusive to some degree or he would feel upset by the fact that he wasn't asked to join because he was better than others. Call it his competitive nature or what bit of egocentric masculinity he had within him.
Those were some bright golden doors, almost like the gates of heaven them selves, and he couldn't help but smile, having the feeling that this would be the start of making the world perfect for god. As he looked around for everything else in the surroundings, taking in what would be his new home. His smile grew as he new that this would be just that. A home. A family. It scared him to think that he would finally have a family and he was insecure about letting someone that close and losing them. After all his parents left him and they were family. But this felt different this was his choosing, not having it thrust upon him. He chose to follow the path of god and was rewarded for it.
