The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Family, when one member of your family ends up getting in a jam it is only natural for the members of the family to try to help out. In this case, it was the younger emmber of the family trying to help out the older, which was a welcome change of pace for the Lupin Sisters.
Ruby decided to go help clean up the mess her older sister left, mainly because of the fact that she had a feeling she would be better at it than Emerald would. Besides, her big sister had done quite enough already. The conversation the two had before she had agreed to this was interesting to say the least.
“Emmy, you called someone smelly, They have every right to be mad at you.”
“I know they do, Rub but could you please just go tell her I’m sorry. Besides, you know what I meant by it.”
“I know Emmy but not a lot of people do. Just…Write her a letter or something I will figure it out from there!”
“You’re the best baby sister.”
“I know, now get started on that letter!”
So now Ms Ruby Lupin stood at the door of the girl her older sister had both saved and embaressed. The young fox girl was dressed in her normal garb of deniem overalls and a red t-shirt beneath. Well, it was her normal garb for when she worked around the house that is. Today was one of her working in the shed kind of days so she wore her work clothes, which had old stains of oil and other various substances that came from working with mechanical objects. She was wearing her favorite red beanie hat today in order to cover up the fact that she hadn’t combed her messy, mouse brown, hair this morning. The young fox girl, had walked from her and Emerald’s room all the way to Anges’ room and tried her best ot be quick about it. She carried an envelope in her right hand with her sister’s messy handwriting on the front.
Ruby would knock upon Anges’ door and whenever the girl would open it, in fact whoever did open Ruby would promptly shove the letter towards them in a gentle yet assertive sort of way.
“Special delivery for Miss Anges from my embaressed big sister.”
Ruby didn’t really care if she embaressed Emerald worse by doing this but she felt as if her big sister deserved to be embaressed after what she did to Anges’. Though at least she was trying to make things right by writing a letter to the girl, which read as follows;
Dear Anges, Look, I’m sorry I was sort of a jerk the other day. Well I wasn’t really a jerk! Well I guess I was, because you were really upset about it. I shouldn’t have let you walk off like that damn it. I should have tried to explain myself instead of standing there like a moron. Oh well, what can ya do the past is in the past I guess. Well I hope at least. Look I was wrong, I’m not used to saying that, so sorry if this letter sounds weird. I tend to be blunt according to my little sister Ruby, who is delivering this letter at the moment. So yeah….anyways I’m really sorry and I really gotta figure out how to make it up to you. How about I get you a burger? Or a Milkshake? Unless your Lactose intolerant or something. Damn that sounds stupid. Anyways talk to you soon.
Sincerely,
Emerald Lupin
PS, I saw that video on the internet of you and do you want me to go hunt down the guy that filmed it. Because I can! I can beat shit out of him for you if ya want! I could bring him to you to! Wait that kidnapping and that’s bad. Unless you get caught. Let me know your answer though!
Ruby would hope that standing here didn't make Anges too nervous. From Ruby's research (Better known as hacking) she had it rough and the fox girl wanted to make sure that Anges knew that there was nothing to be nervous about, Especially with the Lupin sisters. Well, except maybe for Sapphire.
It was a lazy day. Agnes sighed as she sat back in her bed and glanced over to the empty bed that Gina occupied when she was around. Today though, Gina must have been out doing something because the runaway was alone, sitting casually back in her bed, dressed in jeans and a loose gray sweatshirt. She smiled absent mindedly to herself as she closed her eyes and attempted to concentrate.
She had been toying with her powers for a little bit these days. Ever since the incident in the museum she had been trying to get a better control. Holding her hand up, she sighed as she closed her eyes and rested her head back against the backboard of the bed. A deep breath and before she knew it, a few flies flew from the hidden corners of the room and began to crawl upon her hand.
Cracking an eye open, she beamed a little in success as she watched the insects crawl about with no real sense of direction. She hoped one day she could get her powers under control enough where she would not have to worry about suddenly unleashing a swarm whenever she got upset. She noted that she was having some success! The smell she usually emanated started to fade just enough where it did not seem to make everyone gag. That had to be some success right?
Agnes was about to try and summon another bug to her hands when suddenly there was a,
Knock, Knock, Knocking on her chamber door. Arching a brow, Agnes slipped out of bed and headed over.
Once the seventeen year old runaway opened the door, she tilted her head curiously to the smaller female in the overalls and beanie and smiled up at her. She held out an envelope.
>> “Special delivery for Miss Anges from my embaressed big sister.”[/i]
“What?” she asked curiously. She was about to turn the girl away and tell her she had the wrong person, but curiosity got the best of her. Gently she took the envelope, opened and began to read.
At first she did not know what the make of it. Was it a joke? She really could not remember the incident in question, but as she read on she slowly began to remember it. She was out in the gardens when a trio of bullies attempted to hassle her and then…this wild looking female had come to her rescue. She scared them all off but in the process she had made some back handed comment about how she really should shower more. Agnes remembered how hurt she was at the time but as she read the very…elegantly, written apology letter, she had to smirk.
She turned back to the smaller girl, a little misty eyed and touched over the apology.
“That…was very sweet,” she said with a nod. “You can tell her all’s forgiven, but…she doesn’t need to do anything to the guy who made the video.”
She sighed as she gently folded the letter and carefully placed it inside her pocket. A smile towards the young girl and she held out her slender, pale hand to her.
“My name’s Agnes, though I can see you already know that.” she whispered. “What’s your name?”
To say Ruby Lupin was a little nervous for her sisters possible rejected apology by the older girl would be pretty accurate. She didn't want Emerald to lack a friend all because of her...unique way of saying things. It was something Ruby herself had grown used to because that was how her sister was, though anyone outside the family would have no clue that her big sis didn't mean any harm by those words. She watched the alleged bug queen's face go from confused to oddly sincerely, sweet. So the smallest of the Lupin sisters would smile broadly once she realized her strategy had worked. Ruby was still a Lupin so when something went right for her she inwardly chalked it up in her head as a win or in Ruby's case. Especially after Anges would tell her that all is forgiven.
"Direct hit! Damage done 100%, Walls of awkwardness are down and targets possible negative feelings have been destroyed. Mission Accomplished!" Ruby would cheer inwardly, fox tail swishing back and forth would glee. When Ruby would smile like that she always looked younger than she actually was, not that it was her fault she just had a youthful face. Poor girl was almost sixteen and she still looked like she was 13 or younger.
"Yeah, my big sister can be sweet in a kind of big sisterly, pack leader sort of way," Ruby would tell Anges, though a sly grin would creep across the little ones face. Once again, she was a Lupin after all. "She's actually a big softy despite all the scars and the wild appearance. The Rumors don't paint her in a great light." While Ruby knew that her older sister would probably not want her telling people that, she didn't really care. More people had to know she wasn't all that bad.
It was part of a little sisters job description to embarrassed the crap out of their older sisters. Which was something Ruby couldn't help but enjoy doing. The small fox girl would take Anges' hand and shake it gently.
"Ruby Lupin, Emerald Lupin's younger sister. " Ruby replied with a cheerful grin, "It's nice to finally meet you Miss Anges."
((OOC: I love how Ruby Is like Emeralds Public Representative.))
>> "Yeah, my big sister can be sweet in a kind of big sisterly, pack leader sort of way…She's actually a big softy despite all the scars and the wild appearance. The Rumors don't paint her in a great light."[/i]
Agnes froze a little when she heard that the young woman that helped her before had scars and was not always painted in a great light. It was a concept that the runaway was extremely familiar with. She herself was badly scarred and it was hard to shake the shackles of rumors. Before, when rumors were flying around about how she liked that jerk Gawain. Rumors love to travel fast and when they do, you are rarely put in a good light.
So maybe she and Emerald did have more in common than she figured at first. It would probably be good to give the scary redhead a second chance. Maybe she would take her up on that offer to get milkshakes. It had been forever since she had a good one.
Another looked down the smaller sister, and Agnes had to smile and shake her hand.
>> "Ruby Lupin, Emerald Lupin's younger sister…It's nice to finally meet you Miss Anges."[/i]
“Likewise,” Agnes grinned.
She was closer to her own age, maybe a year or two younger, but she had a spirit about her that was definitely more youthful. It was no wonder that she came to speak on her sister’s behalf. If there was any way to win her over, Ruby was it. She was always a sucker for that child-like smile and twinkle of mischief in the eyes. Just made her more receptive to receiving apologies. On top of all that, Ruby just happened to be quite an excellent speaker. It was no wonder Agnes accepted.
“Well you can tell your sister I never gave it another thought,” Agnes said with a nod. “And a milkshake sounds like it will be great.”
As she stood there talking to the younger mutant, a few flies began to gather around doorway, only three or four. Curiously they seemed to be crawling around, eyeing both Agnes and Ruby. Their movements were what caught Agnes’ attention as she looked up and sighed. They always had to worst timing, at least in her opinion. It was only good that they did not perceive Ruby as a threat. Instead they were content simply remaining in one spot, rubbing their tiny feet together. Agnes gave them one warning look before she turned her attentions back to Ruby.
One way to combat rumors was to learn to introduce yourself. Agnes nodded as she stepped back a little.
“Wanna come in?” she asked as she opened her door a little wider. “I think my roommate has some chocolate stashed away. You can tell me about your sister and yourself, if you want to, I mean.”
