The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Venus smiled to himself, He loved it, absolutely loved hearing a new voice, the voice was such a wonderful thing, She spoke to him before he saw her. Sass all over her voice, she was perturbed most likely with a coworker of his.
Venus spun around on his seat. Sitting he was still almost as tall as she was, not that, that made her short, it simply gave his eye level an interesting first impression. “I haven’t seen him since poker night.” He would have said Greg, but why give her more information than he needed to. He didn’t know her from anyone else in New York, but he’d like to. It had been too long since he had been out with the tattoo’s and piercing type. His eyes roved over her figure momentarily. Accessing the woman before him, she had excellent hips and a bust to match. Pale skin, stunning pale blue eyes and she wore her attitude the same way it dripped from her tone.
“I’m afraid we haven’t met, Ms.” A flick of the eyes to her left hand and ring finger, Ms. Indeed. “I’m Venus, and you are stunning, a name to match to those eyes would be lovely.” Venus stood and a casually charming smiled at the woman. He’d apologize to Greg later if he in fact was moving in on territory he aught naught be moving into.
A grin came to his face as he found another excuse to walk further and not wave down the first cab that he saw, it was nice to have this delicate little person in his arms...yes she was explosive, that didn't make her any less delicate however. Speaking of which, she had come home traumatized. From a mission, one that he thought was in too deep than they should ask her to go. I t wasn’t that she couldn’t handle it, she could, she was strong. It was that he didn’t want her to have to handle it. He didn’t know these people, their intentions what they might do. He couldn’t exactly tell her that though could he. And so an Idea started to for m in his head. Something that might benefit Kaitlyn greatly. She needed to socialize, with people her own age, that understood what it was to be a mutant…he unfortunately could think of only one place for that.
(let me know if I am stepping on something you already have going.)
Jupiter opened his mouth to reply in turn but he no longer had access to or wanted his mouth for talking. He was relieved, he got her back and it seemed as though she was really his. He swallowed hard as she good as told him that she would marry him, he wanted that. He wanted to marry her, but not here and now he wanted to do it right, her in something dazzling, him in a fine suit on one knee, with some ridiculous rock, worthy of her petite ring finger. Engagement was a good idea, She had avoided a kiss and told him everything, but he wanted to give her time, o make her sure, this is what she wanted.
The food and conversation was amazing, she was delightfully intelligent, Whimsical and funny, for a moment he thought of hurting the man that tried to get in the way of Xavia and himself, but he could think of nothing so effective as stealing her away.
He closed his eyes with a mischievous smirk on his face, He rarely let himself be playful but for her, he would act the part of the fool. His hind being pulled by hers, he trusted her enough to not even bother exploring out things that might have made him trip. He followed her without peeking, not once, even when he heard the shuffle of clothing. When he was allowed to open his eyes, the sight he took in was exquisite and he was rewarded with more kisses. The candles were a nice touch, had he been a woman he might have noticed them and not only focused on the soft fabric on softer skin.
One by one the candles blew out and the light faded to black.
Her mannerisms were priceless, to the way she momentarily was ready to pounce on her meal to the little fold that appeared on her forehead when she decided to pace herself, and the way she dabbed at her mouth with her napkin every couple of bites, it made want to take her home and beg someone to let him keep her.
“That is odd, I would think that you would have run into me or one of my identical brothers. Septuplets.” He grinned. Something about the giant red men being born at one time usually shocked people, He would explain further if he needed to, it was a good introduction into how he wasn’t legitimately born and of the perfect clone variety. “On the other hand we stay moving quite bit, never a quiet moment, at least not too often. Speaking of which, we don’t have to get all of the sightseeing in one day, I enjoy this sort of thing so I would be up for more exploring whenever you like.”
Venus made sure to eat as if he wasn’t at the table with his brothers and if he didn’t act fast, he wouldn’t have the opportunity to act at all. She was taking such care to be polite he could only do the same.
“Aura!” Venus exclaimed with a healthy dose of worry! He wanted her afraid, remorseful and punished, not dead. He looked down to see that the blade hadn’t in fact made blood go everywhere, which if you had seen Aura work before was exactly what that pink blade typically did. He let out a sigh of relief. His tail flopped the girl into his arms and he began to make way over to the doors, urging Aura along to follow.
“First and most importantly, you are going to fix our doors, you go nowhere until those doors are golden again. Second, we are going to have to find away to ensure you realize that being Primus isn’t anything but glorious…. We need a solution that both ensures you observe your potential and you spend time with others of our kind that know how to live up to their potential.”
He nodded, Little Celeste Manfrella, really should learn to not give out her real name to those that might recognize it. While researching Allison and her family ties, he couldn't set Aura up with just anyone after all, he had started looking into other big name family's in the area, the Manfrella's ran some interesting circles. At least to a woould be socialite playboy like Venus any how.
Jupiter just looked at him confused and nodded. He wasn’t sure about that, He was pretty sure that was double talk, but whatever, they were both blitzed and money was for spending. Well played cat, well played. Jupiter was dipped further into confusion as He found out that not only was Lupe in the NYPD, but so was Calley. Man, Calley was so drunk. The boy confirmed the level of DRUNK when he announced that he was an immortal, except that he had reasoning for it and drinking more than Jupiter could to back up said reasoning. But all the reasoning was starting to make his head hurt.
He nodded accepting that as reasonable. Before he could reply however there was a blue eyed rhino leaning up against him. “Hey!” It wasn’t that he couldn’t simply pick the rhino up, it was the fact that he was going limp like a little kid determined to stay somewhere, all the weight where it shouldn’t be.
“How am I going to ride you if you can’t even stand?” Jupiter nudged him into place, if his stance was a bit wider than a normal Rhino’s would have been and he was a bit wobbly it wasn’t of Jupiter’s concern. He climbed on to the rhinos back and gave his hindquarters a light swat.
“giddy up.” He laughed riotously from his epic mounts back, his legs squeezed just enough to hold him on.
Mercury clapped a hand over his mouth in shock, he hadn’t ever seen something like that before. That woman no longer had hair and instead was…a red head now. He didn’t have too much time to stare though idiots were escaping. He released the lady that he was holding against a pole that had tried to taze him. Her hand was still gripped around the tazer with his much larger hand around them both and holding it to her chest. His tail had a man that was just hanging there swinging at him and cursing but after seeing the blonde go flying over the building he thought she must be lonely and in pain. His captive would go check on her. He leaned forward and flung his tail up ward launching the man with a fair trajectory after the woman that was sailing toward the roof.
Mercury’s eyes fell on the man that was inciting all of these people to anger, he was the one with the megaphone on his wrist, up until moments ago, and before the slaughter and subsequent abandonment he had been shouting about their ilk being the wrong in the world. A smirk of his lips acknowledged his carefree adopted sibling. But he had something to attend to before they left the scene. He pounced on the man with the bullhorn, clutching his sweat shirt in his fist, making it lose every bit of slack it had afforded him. He lifted him by the scruff.
“I suggest you name three things, you love about mutants, Tell who ever you are bothering in this hospital how sorry you are, and then I suggest you prey to your gods that I am merciful.”
The man for his part stayed true to his cause, a foolish mistake if ever there was one. He raised the Megaphone and put it in Mercury’s face. “There isn’t one good thing to name about mutants, much less three, that filthy Mutant in our clinic should apologize to us, and if there were gods, they would have freed us of your kind. There isn’t room enough for both Humans and you demons on earth.” The words rang in his ears. Brown eyes met red and the man knew those would be his last words, poorly chosen at that. “I couldn’t agree more.” The growl wasn’t as nearly as loud as the humans, but the action that came after, wouldn’t likely be matched in the world of debate anytime soon.
Mercury lowered the man and threw him as hard as he could into the air. The force and speed with which the man flew from his hand might just make him leave the earth. If in fact he didn’t manage to leave the atmosphere perhaps he would think about what he should have said before impact. He rubbed his shoulder and slowly surveyed the area. Not only was the immediate vicinity beginning to clear, everyone in sight was leaving the area or getting inside buildings. He turned to his sister to see if she had managed to catch any of the stragglers or if some fool with a death wish still pursued.
Mercury smiled at the thought of isabel reluctantly poking him with a bone spike, spouting things like ‘don’t make me do it!’
He leaned in and whispered the most devious thing his mind had ever thought. “You could make the rules Isabel. Seven of us behind you, Syn, Aura, Kait and Alli would turn on them in a snap. And then you could change the rules and we could all live together again. We wouldn’t have to hurt them or nothing just let them know things were changing a bit, and then we could help protect them too. Instead of doing this.” He nodded over his shoulder and rolled his eyes..
He backed out of her personal space a little. Smiled brightly trying to win her over to the thought. He didn’t have much more to say, if she said no, that was that and they would go back to this silly game of don’t hurt your friends. Jorge and Muse did it to, he was sure of it.
Mercury nodded very slowly and matter of factly, not noticing that is was obvious he was the only one he could be addressing. “You.” He clarified so there wasn’t any other mistake.
Mercury leaned over the trashcan, eyes filled with curiosity and suspicion. His nose wrinkled and his eyes went wider “What’s in there?” He asked with a hint of child like glee that did not match his exterior but complimented than man inside well enough. Before Guglin could answer however, Mercury added decidedly.“ I’ll help you hunt it.’
He grabbed the trash can with his free hand and ripped it easily from its restraints. He dumped the contents from the can on the ground, his tail poised ready to whap whatever creature attempted to escape the little green one’s wraith. When nothing came running he discarded the trash can to the side and squatted down. Righting the little green man and setting him to his side, gently. Unlike the trash can that was now rolling away on its own adventure at an alarming rate.
“I think it got away. Mr Martian.” Little green men were from the Moon or Mars, and he didn’t know what to call a man from the moon. He wondered if it was another alien from Mars or some other planet.
Koga used it masterfully, for a first date. The thread is actually up and running.
looks like, a live mission, because why not field test the new kids.nothing like a make or break mission to see if you've got what it takes. pressures on? we do have a slate on board so we can make quasi fatal mistakes.
"If you wanted to go, then you could and I would simply look out for you from afar, but if you wanted to stay, then he would have to find an army strong enough to take you from me, your mother, your uncles and the rest of the order. and I'll tell you a secret, that army doesn't exists." he smiled down at the sweet girl in his arms and knew that he would tear down cities for him if it meant protecting her.
Mars looked down to Kaitlyn, and smiled sweetly. “ Losa would inform myself or Lori, if we weren’t available then one of your uncles, They would see that the imposter wasn’t me and tell them once to walk away.” He wouldn’t elaborate on what happened to those that ignore the only option give to them. He then paused, unless of course you’d like something else done. Whether that was, remove them from the earth or from the premises was a ll a matter of time.
mars had managed to check out and buy a tote with Kaitlyn in his arms, and if he didn't know better he was getting more looks from ladies than he had in quite some time, perhaps it was the nurturing nature of his actions.
He watched the bottled fly through the air. “I was going to give you a chance to run.”
He hoped forward and his fist collided with the Man that screamed “Mutie go home.” Famous last words anyone? He batted the man into a woman that was trying to escape the both rebounded of the clinics wall and crumpled to the ground. The male more damaged then the female from the direct hit. His tail wrapped around an ankle and he flicked the protestor like a Frisbee across the sidewalk. A slap sent another woman to the ground. They weren’t yelling anymore, at least not intelligibly. They were scrambling like cockroaches in a freshly lit room.
A man at the back of the group was waiting for some of the others to disperse. He brought his fire arm up and would have fired if it wasn’t for the fact that Mercury wore his shoes lose and he kicked a shoe off with such force that when it collided with the gunmen his ribcage crumpled.
He wondered for a moment what was going on inside of the clinic; surely if the people weren’t being dealt with someone there sympathizing might be harassing every day church goers.
The levels of pout increased on her face and he had to fight a bigger smile growing on his face. He covered it with a hand and less than discretely pinched his own face until it stopped.
He shrugged. ‘We know you have to eat, you’d be welcome in town.” He dared to hope for a split second before she continued. “We told them we would protect them best we could, If we really did, we would have come knocking at the fort to do real battle.”
“The growers trade cheap, like you said they can always grow more. You don’t have to take it from them.a couple of bone hoes or shovels and I bet they would have traded the lot of what you got. I tilled the field for them once and they gave me a pie.”
He looked up at Isabel as innocently as he could and without the slightest trace of humor. He stated. “I’m in your way.” And there it was again that smile threatening to take over his whole face.
“Isabel! The world isn’t fun anymore.” He closed the gap between them.” I miss you and Syn and Aura and Alli and Kait and Kitra. You guys belong with us not some reporter that said mutants were just as stupid as humans for years. She even played that special on you year after year, how do you forgive that, how much crap did you get over that stupid calendar that she referenced enough to make it popular.” He didn’t want to play that card, but he was tired of his friends being hidden behind a wall and rules that said his testes disqualified him from being part of the club.
“It’s all on me miss.’ Jupiter slurred to the waitress. It had been awhile since he had drank himself dizzy outsides of the confines of his room. add a twenty percent tip for yourself if you would, I’m not going to be comprehending the Maths until the morning.” Jupiter’s head veered to face Calley again. “If I knew that was how it was going to play out I would have just held the table over you like an umbrella and been done with it.”
“I don’t think I know a Gwendolyn, Her names Jocelyn. I think Abyss likes her.” he grinned. Abyss needed to like someone.
“So tell me Sinatra, what’s your secret? How man livers do you have in there? He figured if you flitered the poison enough times, or used an elephants liver or maybe caught the alcohol all in some sort of cow’s stomach….” Jupiter realized that he wasn’t really all that sure how Calley’s mutation worked or if he could even do the things he imagined he could. He just remembered a lot of cats attacking him. heh. Cats. “Calley, how does one ride a rhino?”
