The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The boy perked up when he heard someone enter the room and halted his tapping long enough to focus on what she said. "No," Jinka shook his head a little and set the crutches up beside him,"I haven't seen anyone since I sat down." His gaze drifted back to his legs, and he began to bounce the left one slightly.
She'd interrupted his thoughts, but he was actually grateful for it. Sulking always made the boy feel groggy and sick, so he took the opportunity to jumpstart his social batteries enough to talk to another person.
'One year,' He thought, staring blankly at the cast on his right foot. Jinka hated looking at the bare bandage; it always reminded him that he was doing this for a reason. All of his friends were probably shunning him from miles away and his closest family was heading back home as he sulked. The bitter icing on the cake was the victory that slipped his fingers when this all started. He never really tried to use his powers since then, partially because he couldn't run but also... fear? So, he'd just done his best to ignore them for the past few weeks. Still, no matter how hard he tried to wipe the frown off of his face, his bottom lip betrayed him in a pout when he actually sat down long enough to be with his thoughts. The only thing he could do was cling to the promise his grandparents made when they first came to this decision. If he could just tough this out for a year, things could go back to some sort of normal. He knew life would never return to the way it was, but he was home wherever they were. He definitely didn't feel at home in the mansion. Besides, how much could life change in a year?
The left leg bounced anxiously as he wondered what to do with himself once he was done settling in. Everything he'd normally do was off the table because of his ankle, he didn't know anyone here, and he really didn't feel like reading anything. A groan of boredom quietly escaped his throat as he grabbed the crutches set beside him and tapped the rubber stops on the floor rhythmically. It was going to be a long twelve months for this boy.

Mutations
Mutation description:
Kinetic Acceleration: Jinka can endow himself or whatever he’s touching with superhuman, or otherwise enhanced, speed which perpetually increases whenever he moves any part of his body. The more active he is, the faster he can go. Sometimes, ceasing movement results in the release of built up energy from the last moving muscles in the form of a shockwave. Stopping "shuts off" the effects of all secondary mutations and renders him human for the most part. Increased Boned Density: His bones become incredibly dense, with a T- score of +9. This secondary mutation activates to lessen the severity of recoils, making smaller ones less of an issue and reducing his susceptibility to moderate-to-severe injury from larger ones. Enhanced Perception: When his speed is active his pupils dilate to 10mm. Constantly catching tiny details, this secondary mutation makes traversing dark areas and moving quickly easier. Heat tolerance: Another secondary mutation, his body develops a greater tolerance for higher temperatures when moving at high speeds.
Strengths:
Super Speed: Jinka can cover great distances in short periods of time by running or increasing the speed of a vehicle he’s in, as well as react to situations much more quickly with his powers. The speed allows him to scale walls and run across bodies of water, as well as vibrate himself quickly. Shockwaves: The shockwaves released when stopping can be used offensively, able to knock people over and damage eardrums when built up for more than ten seconds. Enhanced Durability: The mutation that increases his bones' density make it harder for him to break any of them. Continuously Increasing: His speed constantly increases, as much as 6% with every movement. This is only traversal speed; reaction speed has yet to be accurately tested but is certainly quicker.
Weaknesses and Limitations:
Hormone Imbalance: His body produces more adrenaline than he needs as a reaction to using his powers. While this helps with reaction speed, it makes him really jittery almost all the time. His body balances out when he sleeps, but waking up starts the process over again. Fatigue: Once stopped, his body starts to feel the exhaustion of moving excessively without rest. Though he is a very fit person, maintaining stamina can prove difficult when speeding up his body. Fatigue is less noticeable when using his powers, but prolonged use will tire him out as well. Recoil: When his body stops, the recoil of shockwaves released distributes throughout his body. Even with increased bone density, the possibility of injury from them exists. While the first bones exposed receive most of the damage, further injuries (such as fractures and breaks) are possible under larger recoils. Friction: Causing so much friction from moving quickly often gives him rashes and burns, especially in areas where skin is exposed. This can also prove hazardous for his clothing; he’s definitely melted a few pairs of shoes and set a pair of jeans on fire. Materials: His mutation is discriminatory between organic and non-organic materials. Accelerating non-organic matter is rather simple for him: increasing the speed of metals, plastics, and rubbers doesn’t take much effort. He struggles with speeding up organic materials: other people or plants are more difficult to accelerate and tire him out much faster. Mass: Speeding up something larger is much more difficult than something smaller. This applies to both material types.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities:
Flexibility: Years as an all-star cheerleader have pushed this a lot. If he were any more flexible, he’d be a contortionist. Speed/Reflexes: Without the use of his powers his reflexes and speed are slightly above average, as he is a very hyper and athletic person. Strength: He’s strong enough to hold a 90 lbs girl in the air with one arm, so he’s not a weakling. He also has phenomenal core strength which makes balancing a breeze. Stamina: He actually has a lot of stamina compared to most people, but his powers eat at it quickly. Fighting Style: Though he has little fighting experience, he is prone to quick ambush attacks. He’s more likely to hit someone when they aren’t paying attention, though he’s not afraid to flee.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Pros: His mutation makes this very easy and ensures he can get in a get out with his attacks. Cons: This fighting style isn’t good for prolonged fights or in areas with little cover.
History Of Your Character
Raised by his maternal grandparents, Jinka was born to a supportive household regardless of the fact that he has a deceased mother and an absent father. He was a smart kid, even though his grandmother was always there to catch him if he fell. She knew him better than he knew himself at times, which is why she wasn’t surprised when his mutation showed. Though she had never manifested abilities, his grandmother tested positive for the x-gene; a secret she managed to keep hidden for many years.
It started with an ADHD diagnosis at the age of five, but after a few months his eyes started to dilate more than usual. After a few days, his grandparents took him to the hospital only to learn he had the x-gene as well, and an active one at that. Luckily, his sight seemed to improve from the phenomena and his family became aware of one of his mutations. After he turned seven, his mutation had noticeably developed with the change in his eyes. His grandparents sought to negate the stress of the changes by putting him into an extracurricular activity; the sport of choice was all-star cheerleading.
For nearly a decade the exercise provided from doing cheer at a competitive level did nothing to arouse strange occurrences, unless being weirdly fit for a kid counted. His quickness in practices was always chalked up to simply being a hyperactive boy who loved to perform.
This proved not to be the case when at sixteen he qualified as a level six flyer on an international team, something that required more from his body than he had ever demanded. He was beyond excited about making the team and spent months practicing with them to do his best when the time came. Strangely enough, his tumbling had gotten faster that season.
His powers manifested during his first competition; one second he was doing a kick double, the next he was drilling into the chest of one of his bases. His friend’s rib cage was shattered and he was more or less responsible for hospitalizing him.
Jinka quickly became a pariah in his hometown, and after a while his grandparents started to receive threats. For his own safety, his grandmother privately sought out help; it was then that she found information about the Mansion. After a long discussion with his grandfather, it was decided Jinka would be safer at the boarding school. Their hope is that he learns how to control his powers before the year is over, as they plan to return for him.

Their uniforms shone like stars beneath the bright lights of the arena. Spectrum Code Rainbow was a renowned cheerleading team widely anticipated; everyone wanted to see the 3x champion’s new routine. With a smile that could blind, Jinka skipped across the spring mat with his friends and waved to his grandparents in the crowd.
“Let’s go!” He cheers out, moving to set up for the performance. “1,2,3,4-“ he started.
“-5,6,7,8! Rain!” The whole team finished, earning one surge in the cheers before they started to die down. Jinka grinned as hard as his face could manage as he stood front and center, staring down the judges with a look that said “watch this.”
When the music started, the boy’s heart skipped a beat as he did his toe touch, following with a standing full. With a second wind, he felt more spry and energetic than he ever been in his life as he dove away from the center strip. Hitting his motions was easy enough, he made all of his counts perfectly.
The basket section came in the beginning as one of the highlight pieces. Jinka and the other flyers moved to the front, motioning in unison as tumblers passed them in marked out paths. Chest puffing, heart racing, and hips swaying, the boy stood out as the most expressive of the flyers.
Doing a backhand spring, Jinka tightened his core as the jitters in his body got worse and let the bases catch him, flipping him into the basket prep.
Riding the toss up, Jinka’s abs tightened as he kicked his leg high into the air. ‘Stall...,’ He thought as he rode a quarter of the first turn as stiff as a statue. When he wrapped, all of the muscles in his body tensed at once and suddenly he was twisting out of control and at an alarming speed. By the time he hit the sixth rotation his feet crashed into something hard. “Ah~!” He screamed as his ankle twisted, the pain shooting up his leg quickly as his back hit the mat and the wind left his lungs.
