The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

For some reason, drinks tasted batter when they were free. Regardless of who they came from. She gave a light smirk; she wasn't really sure she was into little green man, but if he kept the drinks coming--
Thankfully that train of thought was interrupted by some meat-head who had the audacity to interrupt her drink. They were always the same, really. Big, macho, alpha male types. Please. "Sorry, Hun. I'm not interested." In came more pickup lines. This guy just didn't know how to take a hint(or a bath, from the smell of him.) She took another sip of her scotch, growing more impatient with every refusal, until he sat down across from her.
However, this gave her ample opportunity; the tables didn't leave a lot of space between sides, and that coupled with her long arms gave her ample ability to do this as her hand that wasn't drinking slowly slid to her belt, and then under the table.
The guy's face went pale as he felt an unmistakable piece of metal pressing against him, and Brooke's playful smirk faded. Finally, he got up to leave, and she discretely slid her gun back into its holster. It was too bad she didn't get to shoot him, really...
Leaning back in her chair, she took another sip of scotch, a slight smile of victory on her face.
The great thing about Brook's vantage point was that it gave her a full view of the bar. Though sometimes, a full view gave more than one wanted to see, such as a green guy trying desperately to get laid, and then getting a face-full of drink for his trouble. The blond woman had to smirk at that, at least until he did some weird thing with his hand. Oh, ew.
She retreated into her drink, not looking at that particular part of the bar for awhile, and when she did, the mutant was gone, thankfully. He didn't seem to be a threat, or of any use, to be honest; he was just one of those creepy ones that didn't seem to serve much use behind making people's skin crawl. Well, a bar was a good place for that kind of thing; didn't have to go too far to get hammered.
She finished her Scotch, just in time for another one to be placed right in front of her. "I didn't..." she started to say, but the waitress jerked her thumb to another area of the bar. "It's from him." Her blue eyes followed the thumb to see what handsome guy or beautiful girl she'd have to go thank--oh. God. Oh no. "Of course. Why would it be anyone else?" she grumbled, but accepted the drink and flashed the guy a fake, yet grateful smile. Hey, free drink was a free drink, right?
At this rate, she was going to need all the drinks she could get.
Tuesday evenings were perfect for drinking, Brooklyn didn't care what anyone said. The bars were relatively empty, which made them quiet, which meant not many useless wastes of space were going to eat up her valuable drinking time by trying to take her home. For some reason she seemed to only attract the stupid ones that it'd be a shock to learn knew how to breed in the first place.
The tall blonde woman was dressed modestly: a crimson blouse, buttoned all the way up, a pair of black slacks, and her usual pair of black tennis shoes. It wasn't the only pair of shoes she had, but the only pair she regularly took out. The heels and other dress-shoes were for special occasions, like hell freezing over.
She sat at a table, her back to the wall so she could survey her surroundings. It was quiet enough for her liking as she sipped on a Scotch on the rocks. Sure, she could have just done this at home, but as much as she didn't like to be bothered, she wasn't a homebody. Brooklyn preferred to spend her time out and about, even when not working.
Besides, at least out in public, something interesting could happen.

Character
Personality: Brook can often come across as cold and frigid towards people. She’s all business, even when she isn’t working, and doesn’t have the patience for small talk or anything she deems as stupid or a waste of time. And if it doesn’t have any foreseeable benefit, she sees it as such. Because of her serious and no-nonsense demeanor, she can come across as a bit of an ice queen.
When it comes to her job, Brook is very dedicated, loyal, and does everything by the book and to the letter. In fact, one might say she’s married to the job, and many relationships have suffered because she always puts her work before any partner she may have. She is very level-headed and calculating in all aspects of her life, and believes that she didn’t get as far as she has in life by making impulsive and stupid decisions. She is a very proud person, knowing she worked tooth and nail to accomplish what she has, and is quick to remind her doubters of that.
Outside of the job, Brook is more of a lone wolf. She doesn’t have much of a social life and what little she does have often takes a back seat because duty calls. She longs for a relationship of some kind, however she doesn’t know how to balance business and pleasure long term.

Special talents: Skilled with firearms, multi-lingual, eye for detail

Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Lawful Neutral: Brook is very by the book, and will always carry out any order from a superior by the letter. While not necessarily vindictive or mal-intended, orders are orders.
Mutations
Mutation description: Nope
Strengths:An Adapted field has no effect on her
Weaknesses and Limitations: Just a human
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: Brook is pretty average in the strength department, but her conditioning is top notch. She’s quick on her feet, but this mostly due to her long stride. Brook’s strong points are her stamina and her flexibility.
Fighting Style: Though not formally trained, Brook does have a handful of moves she’d learned in order to take down assailants. As such, her style is purely defensive, relying on counters, and holds that transition from said counters.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Pros: She’s a great defensive fighter
Cons: Her offense is limited, so a more technically trained fighter could easily get the upper hand.
History Of Your Character
Brook was born on the other side of the rip, the youngest(and only daughter) of James and Katherine Callahan. Growing up, she was more of a tom boy, preferring to roughhouse with her two older brothers, or play football in the empty lot with the boys. The traditional girly stuff never was her cup of tea. All in all, her life was pretty normal.
Growing up, she’d heard of mutants, people that were…different. All of the stories were bad, painting them in a negative light, which taught her to fear them even though she’d never met one. That she knew of. Academically, Brook excelled, as she was one of those rare girls who were pretty and smart (That's how she feels about it, anyway). All through school, she kept the tomboy phase, never really growing out of it, and she graduated third in her class—to her utter disdain. Once she graduated, she went to college and got a bachelor’s in criminal justice, wanting to fulfill her dream of being in the secret service. But she never could pass the test.
So, she did what she thought would be the next best thing, and joined the NYPD. Her first week on the job, she was called with her partner to a robbery. When they got to the culprit, he climbed up the sides of the buildings, making his escape when they couldn’t keep up. This further planted the seeds of fear in the young woman. When dealing with mutants, she’d become a bit harsher as a defense mechanism.
Though, she never used any unnecessary force, at least, according to her peers.
After a couple of years on the force, her partner suffered a non-fatal but career ending injury at the hands of a mutant. This caused her to leave the force, and tried yet again to get into the secret service. Once again, it failed, but she was contacted by another agency who’d shown interest in her.
She accepted this position, and found herself a part of SUPER. After four years, she’s managed to work her way up the ranks a little, and was recently assigned to the other side of the rip. But other than that, nothing really changed; she’s still just a woman in her thirties, married to her work.

Every muscle in her body ached, screamed for some kind of break or relief. Chasing down mutant menaces to society was dangerous work, but it was what she lived for. Someone had to keep New York safe, so it may as well be Brooklyn Callahan. Sure, she was tired, and exhausted, and she was sure there were a couple of times she probably could have died, but the woman kind of liked when they chose the hard way. Sometimes. It kept her in shape and on her toes. And she usually did a pretty good job at tagging her mutant. Though…maybe tomorrow she’d take it easy. Maybe.
But now, as her body begged for rest, she opened the door to her apartment and made her way inside. The tall, blond woman changed out of her usual dressy-yet-comfortable attire, into a tank top and a pair of shorts, ready for bed. But before that…she went to the kitchen and opened up a bottle of liquor. She plopped down on the couch, taking a swig from the bottle.
She really needed to find a partner…
But on the other hand, passing out with a bottle of booze in your hand wasn’t half bad either. Maybe one of these days she’d be able to do both.
