The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She smiled back, matching his shyness in stride. "Do you get to ask me twenty questions too?" She could only imagine the kind of things he would want to ask her, while she was finding herself rather stumped with what to ask of him.
She blinked, and started. "Oh, no! That didn't count as a question did i- Oh!" She slapped a hand over her own mouth, and ducked her head. With her forehead resting against her knees, she tried to contemplate what she could possibly want to know about him.
Well... she knew some things, but there was a good lot that she still couldn't fathom. "...What..." She paused, to collect her words, then continued a little shakily.
"What did you do before you came to the mansion...?"
He retracted his hand, and hers stayed right where it was. Floating, hovering over an object that was suddenly not important any longer. She watched him nervously, fiddling with her fingers in her lap, as he set about making himself a sandwich.
He... had pulled his hand away so quickly... Perhaps she had been too forward, and he was simply being polite?
Such a thing coming from him seemed, odd. She wasn't sure if she was fully ready to believe her own theory or not yet... "I...um..." What should she say? Should she ask about something? Bring up something proper to start off a mild conversation? ...After the, erm... lip locking... she had just been through, calm conversations just didn't fit in her mind. She didn't feel that asking about the weather would strike him as a proper topic anymore.
Not that he would have wanted to talk about weather in the first place...
Instead of asking something, or bringing something up right away.. she inched her way back over to his side, and latched into one of his hands gently. She didn't bother looking at him. Choosing instead to stare across toward the fountain, while a rather heated blush lit up her cheeks.
"D-did... you really mean it?" She finally asked, after a moment or hesitation and awkward silence. ".... What you said back there... in... in the room?"
"Hello Jack..." She giggled, wiggling into a proper position on the floor. The dog was cute, black and white and adorable. She half halfheartedly wondered if Piggy would play well with him. Her friend sat before her and the Greek tucked her hands together across her lap politely. She still felt like apologizing profusely... but as Saph had told her, the proper time for words would come. She just needed to be patient and wait.
Besides, her stomach decided to growl hungrily at the mention of food, and an embarrassed blush graced her cheeks. With a half grin, Andrea scratched at the side of her cheek and nodded slightly. "Indeed I am.... I swear, my appetite has only gotten worse since last we talked." Sheepishly taking a fork, she fiddled with it for a few minutes while she waited.
She had to admit, to herself at least, that it felt quite odd to be back in her old room. Familiar, and yet strange. Foreign... Perhaps it was because she still felt as if she was the object out of place, something that didn't quite fit in like she used to. It was a grim, sad way of thinking about things, she knew that... but it was hard not too. Even if she was actively working on it.
Prying her attention away from the prongs of her fork, she directed her eyes back onto her old roommate and smiled. "I am sure there is probably much to explain... but first, how have you been?... Well, I hope?"
With a frustrated angry grunt, the man holding Drew's abandoned shirt was sent flying. "Why you little--!" The fist sent flying into his face stopped any more words from leaving his lips, and caused him to cuss colorfully. He staggered back, while his buddy stepped up to take his place.
Andrea took Drew's shirt straight to the face... but not before she got an eyeful (or two) of her friends upper torso. Which... was bear. One eye twitched and she staggered. The fact that Drew was shirtless registered, but she didn't have time to question how it had happened, as his abandoned shirt wrapped around her head.
It was trying to smother her! Shirt attack! The Greek started screaming FIRE!, because her drink addled mind told her that that was what she was supposed to say in the event of a shirt attack. Or was that just an attack? She shrugged inwardly, while flailing around and trying sloppily pull the cloth from her head. Sloth made it difficult, by wrapping himself around her neck, and latching onto it.
While she was fighting her own (pathetic) battle, the other man recovered from the punch to the face and hopped in to help his companion in the fight. "Quit wobbling around like a baby, you pansy!" He reared a fist back, and sent it spiraling toward the drunken, shirtless man...
Her tumble didn't end as she had anticipated... Instead of falling over and bonking heads... he had fallen over with her.
...and was kissing her.
...and not just a polite 'Lets start a picnic' kind of way, either!
He was passionate, if a little greedy... and it floored the poor Greek. She froze where she was, staring at him for the first few awkward moments... before she allowed herself to settle. Never mind the fact that she was half laying on him, and that he was easily keeping her there with the grip he had on her.
Andrea, flustered beyond measure, let her eyes slip closed slowly and attempted to copy him. They way he kissed, that is. Being so new to it, she was sure it probably felt to him like he was kissing a fish. Lip, lip, and more awkward lip...
But... after a while, she found herself falling into pattern with him. It became easier, and she didn't pay so much attention to her own silly follies. The warmth of him, and the warmth of her own body was comforting. Andrea, quiet suddenly, discovered that she very much enjoyed the act of kissing.
Very much so.
Her kisses became hungrier, more greedy than his by a long shot, and she lost herself in it entirely.
It wasn't until a pair of kids happened upon them, and uttered two very loud, very grossed out, "EWWWWW!" 's, that she pulled herself away. Shamefully, upon noticing who had caught them, Andrea flushed deep brown and scrambled a respectable distance away from Saph. "...I... um.. Sorry. I think.. I got a little carried away..." With a cough, she turned her attention to the food he had brought, as the kids ran off.
Her eyes widened, and a deep flush rolled over her cheeks. A kiss? Kissing?!
Oh... oh boy. She wasn't well versed in that department at all. She had only ever kissed someone once... and that person had been Saph. And... well, that had been a long while ago. Fidgeting with her shirt, she glanced at him from the corners of her eyes.
"..A k-kiss?"
What kind of a kiss? A peck on the cheek? On the...lips? Ohdear. He explained the other things, but she was honestly stumped by the first. Too busy working up the courage to actually do it, while trying to figure out what kind of kiss was appropriate.
After a moment of sitting quietly, with a deep flush on her cheeks, she decided to just go for it and get it over with. Really, the worst that could happen was that he would laugh at her... right?
More suddenly than she would have liked, Andrea turned and leaned over, pressing her lips to his a little harshly. Unfortunately, she leaned a little too far and lost her balance, falling straight into him.
There she was. Her friend, her best friend. The one who she had donned a paper hat for, and run around pretending to be a pirate. She couldn’t stop a similar smile from creeping onto her lips, but nor could she stop herself from sniffling suddenly.
“Oh, Verdi!” The Greek paid no mind to the doggy, nor did she pay any heed to the snakes in her hair for once. She stepped forward and threw her arms around the girl, blinking away sudden happy tears.
“I did not think I would see you... not today, at least. Oh my, how have you been? What have you been up to? Who is your new roommate? Can I meet whoever it is? I’m sure they must be just lovely...” She forced herself to shut her trap, before a million other things spilled out and she overwhelmed the girl.
Unbeknownst to her, Sloth and the other snakes had turned their attention onto something far more interesting... The dog. It was a walking, barking, ball of fur and meat. Warm, soft, delicious meat....
Sloth hadn’t seen a dog since the time he had tried to eat that dog mutant in the sanctuary halls. The female he was attached to had swatted at him and spoken in angry tones.. so he had backed off. But, it had been forever since he had eaten anything, and the black and white dog just looked too delectable to pass up!
The large snake beat it’s brothers to the punch, by un-curling from around Andrea’s shoulders. It tugged hard enough to yank Andrea back a step, as it snapped it’s jaws at the dog by verdi’s side. In a panic, the Greek wrapped her arms around it’s body, and fell into a heap on the floor. What happened next could only be considered a short wrestling match, which only ended because Andrea pulled a length of ribbon from her pocket and effectively tied all of the snakes back behind her. A little extra ribbon was used to make sure Sloth’s mouth would be remaining shut, and Andrea huffed and blinked at verdi from he seat on the floor.
“Oh... Jeez, Sloth did not scare him, did he? I am ever so sorry...”
Being outside in a baggy, ill fitting t-shirt and a pair of Saphirus' work out shorts, barefoot to boot, just felt odd. Very strange... and yet oddly comfortable.
The clothes smelled like him, they were warm, and didn't constrict her. Her toes wiggled in the grass and she could feel the dirt underfoot. Considering her many physical faults, being able to feel things like that were one of the joys she had honesty forgotten about. Her gloves often prevented her from feeling anything with her hands... at least, not without destroying it in the process.
While her... Partner.. (Could she call him that now? Boyfriend, maybe?).. set about laying down the blanket and basket, Andrea situated herself across from him and tucked her legs under her neatly.
"...I have never had a picnic before, So I'm afraid I don't know the proper etiquette for such a thing..."
She eyed the man, fidgeting nervously, and plucked a few blades of grass from the ground between her fingers. He had chosen a rather... romantic spot, whether on purpose or unintentionally. Either way, it set her cheeks ablaze. Two giant rose bushes sat to either side of them, boxing them in. A small field and playground sat some distance behind then, and in front sat a quietly burbling fountain.
Very romantic.
She didn't know what to do... so glanced at him from the corners of her eyes and played with her pieces of grass. "...What would you like to talk about?"
The way he was acting... it was... adorable. The smile, the stunned and happy look. She felt her heart flutter a little, and her blush intensified. She couldn’t figure out why, not really, but ever since she had met him she had felt like a silly, love struck child in his presence. There was something about him that affected her so, and she love it with all of her being.
“Ah- wait! Shoes!!”
Barefoot, since there was no possible way for her tiny feet to fit into any of his shoes. With a giggle, she put up no further arguments and allowed herself to be dragged from the room, and out into the garden...
With a grin that stretched from ear to ear, she was helped back to her feet by her darling sister in slime. "Thank you Sister! That last step... it tripped me up... heh."
Inadvertently, the contact between the two allowed a lone slug baby to wiggle up Andrea's arm and over onto Allison. It found a nice unoccupied place, and sank its little teeth in, thus doubling the amount of influence running through her system.
The Greek stumbled a little on her way toward their brother, who had busied himself with taking care of some poor, misinformed security guards. She was giddy with anticipation! "Yes, brother... I shall!" Stepping forward once their super man brother had thwarted them, she knelt by the first, and held out her hand. Complete with a squirming, pulsating slung in her palm. "Join the good fight, brothers..."

The leech man returned to his prey, stomach growling and lips dripping saliva. As luck would have it, the boy hadn't woken up yet. Unfortunately though, before he could hunker down and feed, headlights sprang to life in the distance, and he was forced to grab the boy and dart off into the bushes.
From up the rode came a lengthy white van. Inside, five people were piled. A CEO, who had come to gather some paperwork, his assistant, who had come to make sure his boss was comfortable and looked after, and two of the factories employees, and their boss. "As I was saying, sir, everything has been running smoothly. After than instance last week with those two mutant protesters, we've upped security to a night patrol as well. We shouldn't have to worry about any more vandalism, or activist annoyances." The CEO nodded his head, lifting his arm to look at his wrist watch, and hmphed. "Well, Henry, for your sake I hope you're right. We can't afford to have any more attention on us than there already is. What kind of #%&@ do you think we'd be in if anyone found out about all of the missing money, hmm? We'd be up to our knees, son. Waist deep in it."
He was talking about, of course, the money that had been systematically pulled from every transaction made within recent months. The slug twins didn't know that their war being waged against the Salt factory was, in fact, a justified one. The bosses of bosses had gotten greedy, and were lining their pockets whenever they could, and now that there was the possibility of being caught red handed, they were going to evaluate the damage... and fix it somehow.
They'd burn the building down, if need be...
Leech man made his way around the side of the building, lurking in the shadows along one wall as he watched a lone factory worker wandering about in a small side parking lot. The man was on a smoke break... but more importantly, he was by himself. Saliva drooled out from the Leech's curved lips, and he set the boy down, tying the harness around a pipe that sprouted from the side of the building. Then, with a speed that the man didn't look like he should possess, he flung himself from the shadows, and tackled the smoker to the ground. The sounds of a brief struggle, and the of Leech feeding, carried off softly into the night.

Back inside, Andrea had just gotten done slapping a little slug onto each of the security guards. They blinked, before the overwhelming sensation of the Will of the Slime overtook them. The slug twins continued on, ushering Allison ahead of them- since she knew the way, and Andrea turned back to follow. The two men stood and hurried to join, staggering along behind the Greek, with her Brother in Slime before her. She hummed a cute little tune to herself, changing the words in her head to match the greatness of their AMAZING leaders.
The blood... the violence... it was a bit much for Andrea. She couldn't fathom what to do in such a situation, and as her friend quickly got the upper hand, she stepped back from fight. When it was all over, he gave her a thumbs up, and it made everything better. She grinned, and started after him.
They needed to find that boy! He has answers to the questions that Vicente wanted to ask, or something... and he needed his nose to be stuck in a corner for hurting a girl. It was just not nice! Andrea found out, however, that her large friend ran much, much faster than she did. Her small legs could only carry her so far, and he had a much longer stride.
She made it back out onto the street, and stared at all of the very, very tall people walking by. Somewhere... her friend had vanished.
"Vishente?" She called... a little shyly. A few people speared her with curious glanced, as she pushed her way past a group of people and out next to the street. "...Where did you go...?"
A sudden sense of loneliness overtook her, and she felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes again. The world around her was very big... and she felt small. Buildings towered above, strangers wandered around... and she was alone again. The little Greek knelt, and rubbed at her eyes again.
Andrea ducked her head, giggling madly, and turned to glance over her shoulder at Drew. The action caused her to lose her balance a little, and she stumbled a few steps before catching herself. It only caused her to laugh harder at herself. “What am I ducking for?!”
Tubba’s friends appeared behind them, and she nodded her head sagely. “Oh! That’s why...!” More giggling ensued, for she just didn’t feel like she could stop herself, and it only proved to make the two men angrier. First she had done something strange to their friend, and now she was laughing at them?
“We’re not about to hit a woman... but we’ll see how funny you think this is after we beat your boyfriend here black and blue!”
Andrea cackled, doubling over onto herself, and the guys rushed Drew with fists and fury. One latched onto the front of his shirt, to hold him still, and reared his arm back, fist clenched so tight his knuckles were white.
Andrea, much too intoxicated to think on her feet, watched the whole thing happen before it registered in her head what was going on. They were after Dreeewww! She couldn’t let that happen! The Greek started to reach for her glasses, wobbling on her feet as she stood straight up suddenly.
She would stop this whole thing before it even began!
