She respected that Celestina could keep conversational boundaries after she informed the woman of her being homeless. It wasn't a topic that she was comfortable discussing, nor was it a fun topic to bring up. It was, however, an important part of her life. "Financial aid could help," Larraine mumbled. "I haven't tried that yet." It would be evident that at this point in time, she wasn't comfortable talking about this. Maybe later on, but in this exact moment; not yet.
After the young girl inflicted pain onto the stranger, witnessing him squirm across the floor, a scowl became present across her face. To the common eye, it wasn't factual that she was positioning him through torture. All that was noticeable were his taunts. "I didn't do anything to you." She lied through her teeth with a calm tone. "You all saw how he reacted earlier, he must just be crazy." She spoke to the crowd of people surrounding the man. In addition to mocking the man's mental state, Larraine decided that she wasn't entirely finished with him, glancing in his direction; beginning to increase the pain. The man began to show severe symptoms, as blood began spiraling down from both his mouth and eyes. In comparison to the man, similar specs of blood that could be compared to the man's symptoms began to drain from her nose.
Distress began to show in the coffee shop and as soon as it arrived, so did their orders. She offered Celestina a stressed and yet thankful smile after grabbing her coffee, following the woman once she motioned for them to leave. "Why do people act that way to other humans? We're all one in the same." She sighed, unable to make eye contact with Celestina due to the guilt surrounding her actions. How could one admit that they were such a freak?
Larraine frowned, "I'm homeless. Don't tell anyone that I told you this." The teenager confirmed her status, however not wanting Celestina to tell anyone else, defensive of being in the position she was in. "I have high academic scores, but I still doubt I would be able to get into a position such as yours - I don't have any money to my name. I wouldn't be able to afford a single term, probably." Larraine wasn't too adamant about over-sharing information with her, not wanting to overwhelm Celestina as the time for their break counted down.
She initially ignored her mentioning 'My Sister's Keeper', she, however, responded to Celestina to change the topic. "I have also read that book you mentioned earlier," Larraine cleared her throat. "It definitely is supposed to make you cry, that's for sure. I couldn't make it through the entire book myself." As she uttered those words, it turned out that it was time for their break.
She began to lightly sweat after entering the coffee shop. The heating of the coffee shop nerved her, as she was not custom to it. "I think we've all been in a Starbucks at least once, but I have never ordered a coffee before. I don't have the time to do so." The girl wouldn't understand why she felt as anxious as she did. It could be due to the important people surrounding her, or another reason, beginning to blush as she overheard Celestina calling her 'an awesome chick'.
For an entire minute, she scanned the choices she could choose from - an impatient customer nitpicking her indecisiveness behind the two of them. "Could I have a French Vanilla Mocha? Please?" A sigh of relief could be heard from behind the girls, much to Larraine's frustration. The man's bitterness wasn't worth getting into an altercation, or so she thought. But as he continued to irritate her, she turned her head in the man's direction, clenching her jaw in a hostile manner; utilizing her powers against the exasperating stranger, transmitting pain to the individual and in an instance, the man fell onto the floor and was wincing in pain. It wouldn't bother the girl much to conflict pain to troublemakers. Celestina may have been able to put two and two together, however, it wouldn't be exceptionally noticeable that the girl had caused him pain unless the man noticed the transference.
A sense of relief overcame her knowing that she hadn't harmed the woman. "Agnes," Larraine repeated the name. "I know another Agnes, but she's fictional." She laughed in a monotonous manner, pondering about the Charles Dickens' books she could remember by heart. However, she halted her mind from wandering as the woman offered her the bag, which Larraine politely took from her.
The lanky teenager laughed softly, "I'll try not to eat it all at once, you would be surprised at how much I can eat in one sitting." Since the woman had been honest with her, Larraine wanted to comply and to do the same. "I have the power to absorb diseases, heal them and transmit pain to other people - willingly, but I can also accidentally transmit pain to other people when I'm going into discharge, unfortunately." She gave Agnes a quick explanation of her powers, not wanting to question if the kind-hearted stranger had powers herself, beginning to scavenge throughout the bag.
After discussing the abilities she possessed, she listened intently to the reason behind Agnes giving the homeless girl supplies, feeling great empathy for the woman. "The greatest people have to go through the greatest amount of pain," was her response to the woman's reveal of her once being homeless herself. "I can only hope that one day I'll be in your position to help others instead of being in this position myself." She sighed, having an internal desire to bring herself away from her current situation is what motivated her, willing to do practically anything to be apart of a 'family' once again or to even be able to afford rent for an apartment.
"Larraine." She abrupted her hand's movement throughout the bag. "My name is Larraine. It's nice to meet you too, but I have to admit that I didn't expect to have a guardian angel watching over me today." A grateful smirk was directed toward Agnes, as she continued to search through the bag; she was responding to the gift similar to a child unwrapping a present early on Christmas Eve.
Hey, I have attempted to make a signature several times now and I have come to the conclusion that I suck at creating digital art(especially signatures). I would be extremely grateful if anybody would create a signature for my character. My character's face claim is Julia Garner. Thanks in advance. :-)
Lately, Larraine felt as if there was something missing in her life. After asking Celestina if they had met before, a distant memory had blossomed in her mind; a not so fortunate one. She was appreciative of the woman squeezing her shoulder, an attempt to comfort her, she assumed. "As long as you don't think I'm crazy, then I guess I'll live the world forever as a free woman." She lightheartedly joked.
"There's a number of books that I like," she stated in a thought-provoking manner. "But a new favorite of mine is 'When Breath Becomes Air'. It's an autobiography about a man's journey with lung cancer and life in general - I can relate to it quite a lot." The library's atmosphere was peaceful, calming enough that Larraine seemed more at ease and less defensive. Another reason she may have possibly been more at ease could have been due to the company around her as well.
She sighed, "I wish I could go to college." There was no further explanation, other than a brief mope of frustration. "But I can understand why that would be tough to handle. I mean, is there any way that I could help you shift into the situation easier? I wouldn't mind taking on more volunteer work.." The idea she suggested was considerate and kind-hearted. But it would also benefit her in the long-run.
A few hours had passed by, following behind Celestina as they would go on break, entering the coffee shop. "I've never been in one of these before," Larraine whispered to the woman with monotonous glee. "It seems so fancy, and look at those angsty-writers sitting over there. So cliche and cute." She whispered as her eyes darted over to the table of full of aspiring authors, script-writers and alike. Before Celestina could order, Larraine squeezed her shoulder in a thankful manner; assuming that she would understand her action, as Celestina squeezed her shoulder earlier to comfort her.
"I'll consider this a first," Larraine said in response to her stating that she wouldn't harm her. "Having abilities is fun in thought, but not-so-fun in reality." She sighed, now aware of her surroundings, creating several exit strategies in preparation of this person possibly harming or attempting to manipulate her. She may be young, but it is clear that she isn't naive - especially considering her upbringing.
She respected her honesty, admiring the individual for aiding her before speaking once again. "I'm glad that I didn't hurt you, I don't want to be that type of person.." Her mind wandered briefly, staring into the distance. It would be evident to Agnes that the girl wasn't entirely 'there' in terms of headspace. She managed to thankfully smile in the woman's direction, despite the silence surrounding them. A smile wasn't much compared to what the stranger had done for her, however, it would show Larraine's gratefulness. "What's your name? If you don't mind me asking."
After asking the woman for her name, Agnes offered the girl a bag of goodies, much to Larraine's surprise. "Thank you," her mouth was agape due to her being bewildered by the kindness of the supposed fellow-mutant; the curiosity in her mind being provoked as she stared at the bag. "What's in the bag?" She asked her, hesitating to move closer to the woman, but then she decided to trust her as she came face-to-face with the stranger.
The cold brushed up against her body as she stumbled closer to the woman, glaring towards her with a soft smile on her face. "I guess you do understand," Larraine vocalized an uncommon amount of trust to the woman. "I cannot say the same for most people I have come across." Laughter escaped from Larraine in a pessimistic manner, holding her sweater close to her body for warmth as her eyes would be glued to her.
Fortunately for Agnes, Larraine's abilities hadn't gone into a severe discharge. She was suffering from an illness and condition which adapted together, which was a painful occurrence for the girl. Hence the reason why her body couldn't manage to keep her conscious and heal itself at the same time.
A gas-like substance spread around her, conditioning those around her to be ill. However, in this instance, Larraine successfully started to fight back against her abilities whilst the unknown woman was buying items from the liquor store. As the woman returned and began to observe the unconscious female, the cysts which once had been on her arms and face vanished in an instance; her overall physical health seemed to improve substantially, and her eyes would flicker open.
Her clothing was no longer soaking, nor was rain pouring onto her as much as beforehand. She grumbled as she brought herself up from the floor, then noticing the woman who helped her - she was appreciative yet fearful of the woman's reason behind her assistance. "You're not going to hurt me, right?" Her question was straightforward and astonishingly calm. "That happens every now and then, I'm just lucky that I didn't go into complete discharge.." Larraine spoke in discomfort as she tried to explain herself. "Sorry that you had to witness that. I'm still not in complete control over my pow.." She suddenly sneezed, then using the interruption as a sign to not explain the entirety of her powers, as the woman may not be completely trustworthy. "Maybe it's for the best if I don't overexplain myself."
"If I accidentally hurt you, I can always transfer the pain back into myself - my body can handle it." She was apologetic over her abilities, ashamed, even. Larraine simply couldn't comprehend why somebody would help her as the woman had, staring downward at the ground as she stood aimlessly. Maybe not everyone was out to harm her? But in the back of her mind, she still had doubts about her intentions.
Starvation and poor hygiene had taken a toll on Larraine's physical well-being, shivering as the numbing temperature pressed up against her skin. However, that would be the least of her problems. Heart palpitations, cysts, breathlessness, severe chronic pain - and the cold combined together, made it practically impossible for her to focus on anything besides the pain.
Attempting to even close her eyes was torture as if even a moment of peace was unable to attain for the girl in this moment. She tumbled around on the paper bedding beneath her, fixated on thinking about the endless possibilities of how her life could've turned out if she wasn't abandoned by her biological family. But those thoughts would abruptly halt as she heard and felt an unfamiliar person speak and touch her arm.
She gradually directed her body around, facing the stranger with weary eyes. Her immediate reaction would be to act with violence, and or to threaten the person to not harm her; however, in this instance, she decided to act differently.
"Don't come closer," Larraine barely managed to speak. "I don't want to hurt you." She softly said, revealing to the woman the unrecognizable cysts covering her arm and across her face. "My powers, they're.. dangerous. I don't k.." As a result of nearly using all of her strength to warn the stranger, Larraine almost immediately fell back onto the bedding, still conscious but limited by movement due to the chronic pain she was suffering from.
It would be exceedingly visible that whoever the homeless female was, she was suffering immensely. Corresponding to the unfortunate events of her abilities, rain began to dabble onto the woman who was left to defend herself with newspaper. She hid her tears from the woman as she began to weep underneath the drenched paper - unable to communicate because of the fragility of her current state. Shortly afterward, Larraine's abruptly stopped as she started to drift into unconsciousness; oblivious to anything that occurred after blacking out.
Her generous offer had left her teary-eyed. "You don't have to do that," Larraine insisted. "I am not in the best situation at the moment, that's all." Without going too into detail, she had shared personal information with the female - she deemed sharing information with strangers an unacceptable thing to do. But maybe they were on their way to becoming acquaintances or even friends. "Sorry, I don't don't really open up to people that much. I must seem crazy." She definitely felt self-conscious after sharing additional information, however, she decided to beam a grin in Celestina's direction in between chews of her hair. "It's nice to meet you too."
An organization of books began to happen, cleaning the dust from each shelf in hopes of finding something that would catch her interest whilst working. "You're quite the book lover yourself, huh? Is there anything that you're reading at this moment? ..I'm personally a selective reader myself." Her index finger glided against a book to clean any excess dust on it, a small smile appearing on her face after being informed of Booker's full name. "That's quite the name."
Although indulging in the organization of books and other activities as time passed in pure silence, she would still aimlessly study Celestina before she decided to question her. "Sorry for asking this, but do I know you from somewhere? I swear that I've met you or seen you from somewhere before." Larraine felt frustrated with herself for asking this question, but it had been playing throughout her mind since she met the woman.
She would be able to spot the tiredness of Celestina from a mile away, relating to her predicament and overall consistency of energy. "Coffee around these parts is way too expensive, anyway." Her words spoke volumes about her situation, pondering in the back of her mind before she responded. "I'm Larraine, but you can call me... Larraine." She expressed discomfort in her choice of words, then furrowing her eyebrows in Celestina's direction. Celestine seemed familiar to the girl, however, she couldn't recall wherever or not she knew the woman. Maybe she simply reminded her of someone?
Whoever this woman was, she was smiling in Larraine's direction. When you're homeless, you're not often treated with respect and dignity, although Celestina's actions were well-intentioned, it made her feel uncomfortable. "Science fiction?" Her interest had been sparked as she began to babble momentarily. "I prefer to read non-fiction, but I really liked 'The Handmaid's Tale.' Maybe you could read it sometime? I don't know, it's just a recommendation..."
It would be noticeable that Larraine had brief spans of vigorous conversation and then she would abruptly stop the conversation altogether, focusing on the other person instead. Her description of the library had given her the perception or illusion of it being unclean. "I never thought I'd be taken out by dust, but I guess we're all destined for different endings in this life." She complained, grinning as she adjusted the surgical mask around her face. "I'm ready to start whenever you're ready," Larraine's words were muffled behind the mask. "I also find it kind of ironic that there was someone named Booker in a library." A chuckle could be heard behind the mask as she followed behind Celestina to partake in any task that she needed assistance with.
Another tedious had day passed, it was an outright unpleasant sight as she had awoken at twelve in the afternoon to find herself festered in an alleyway, speedily changing appropriately into the outfit she had planned a day earlier. An overwhelming thought had been continuously looping in the back of her mind, it was an urge to find proper meaning in her life. She had hoped that volunteering could perhaps assist her with realizing whom she is as a person and how to correct her current living situation.
An hour had passed as she traveled by foot, feeling elevated and yet tense the moment she arrived in the front of the library. An empty, soulless glance was reflected back to the girl as she stared through the window of the library. "Baby-steps, Larraine. Don't overthink." It was an oddity for the female to experience no form of disease whatsoever in her body for an entire week. She wouldn't want to endure the pain that her abilities brought until needed, as the risk of causing her body contamination is definitely an understandable worry. At least one disease, no matter how minor, would be flowing throughout her body, however.
Consequently, she was apprehensive about entering the library at first, however, the silence from within the library other than a few distant voices convinced her otherwise. Wearing an approachable and suitable cherry red coloured cotton shirt, Larraine eased into her surroundings knowing she was able to at least make a decent impression on those around her. "I almost forgot," Larraine mumbled to herself, attaching an oversized name-tag to the front of her shirt as she followed behind another volunteer into their apparent meet-up area.
"Haven't had your coffee today?" She assumed the yawning woman was in charge solely based on the appearance of the other volunteers compared to her. Seconds afterward, an enforced yawn escaped from Larraine. "You seem to be contagious, but don't worry, I'm quite the contagious person myself." She laughed, investigating her surroundings, intrigued by the comfortable presence of the library, especially as her eyes scanned the different genres of books; longing to even read a passage from a book. Homelessness seemed to be glamorized, but it definitely wasn't a convenient situation to be placed in, especially as a teenager. Her mind wandered briefly, a 'deer in the headlights' type of expression on her face as she stared blankly at the woman before conversing once again. "What's the first order of business? Stocking books?" She occupied her mind with something was changeable instead of repressive thoughts.

Personality: She has obtained traits that has led her to be an antisocial realist, frequently expecting the worst from humans and mutants alike because of her pessimism. It is difficult for her to express bond with others, specifically due to her childhood trauma. When communicating, Larraine can appear to be either cold or compassionate, her differentiation is dependent on the individual she's focusing on. She has concentration issues and is unable to focus on one matter at once, this causes her to often prolong her conversations into inconsistent murmurs.
Despite her flaws, trauma has affected her in both aspects; causing her to grow into a determined, critical-thinking, resilient young woman. In contrast to this, she has been known to project vulnerability and her pessimism onto others. This is due to her lack of socialization and emotional release. Her experience has universally made her socially impaired and less tolerating of certain groups of individuals. Furthermore, she is enforced to be selfless due to her abilities, and this may affect her overall compassion to the common-person. Generally, she's a talkative yet socially inept person who doesn't mind presenting conversations with her sarcastic sense of humor.
Hobbies/Interests:Travelling is a necessity when you’re unable to be secured financially. Another interest that the woman has sparked an interest in is community work. Church activities especially eases the woman's mind. Speaking of which, God in most cases is Larraine’s only source of comfort. It is no shock whatsoever that delving into music or being able to create is an oddity for the homeless woman. Her mood lightens whenever she is able to do so, as by doing so it reminds her of the pleasant times during her childhood, opposed to the trauma that occurred.

Fears/phobias/concerns:She has acquired a phobia of being hospitalized and has concerns surrounding the concept of death and or being powerless. This stems from her childhood. Special talents: She is musically inclined, having near enough ideal, trained-pitch. Other than this, she plays a various amount of instruments, such as the violin and piano. Moreover, Larraine is academically-intelligent and this is self-evident considering her high-score examination scores.
Morality
Good/bad/neutral/other:Lawful Neutral? She favors to have wholesome intentions opposed to negative intentions, preferring tradition and structure to her environments. As long as she is supported within a group, Larraine wouldn't necessarily mind her actions as long as she's apart of a structured group setting. The majority of her actions are based around her abandonment issues and thus, projection is inevitable. This can cause her to lash out on others; especially when she has been criticized.
Mutations
Mutation description: Disease Absorption: A disease of any quantity is essentially able to be cured by the young girl after being digested. It is exceptionally obvious to the common eye when this action is occurring due to her mouth gaping to absorb the disease; wherever it is a common illness, cold, disease or disorder. To be able to engulf the contagion, she has to be in a 10ft radius of the individual. After using her healing capabilities on a sufferer, Larraine either weakens their predominant symptoms or cures the disease altogether.
Healing Properties: Compared to an average individual, Larraine's immune system's healing process could be considered remarkable. The healing progress against contagions can either last for a period of weeks, days or months. Overall, it depends on how adapted she has become to the symptoms she is confronting. Despite this, her physical healing capabilities aren't as potent. The physical healing stage is prolonged, opposed to the average that her inner-workings heal. A universal weakness for the teenager is that her immune system can go into an induced-coma or 'hibernated state', depending on the amount of diseases she is opposing against at once.
Immunity to Diseases: Her immunity with diseases, specifically illnesses and viruses is a painless threat for the individual. Through the past several years, her immunity has adapted and is continuously doing so. The outer-layer of her body, including her physical abilities adapt alongside her immune system as it strengthens against the pathogens that affects her body. Despite this, her body hasn't fought against every disease that mankind has produced, meaning it is an oblivious case to know whether or not her body is able to withstand every symptom that contacts her immune system. This process commonly is endured in under a month and as for her weaknesses with immunity, heart-disorders aren't as briskly recovered for the girl as most diseases are.
Sickness Aura: An unexpected aura of that projects nausea and sickness, including delirium and discomfort to others in a 5ft radius around her; occurring specifically due to the overuse of her abilities. Compared to her other abilities, she has no former experiencing with containing her 'sickness aura', as she addresses it. This ability only occurs after consuming plentiful of disease that her body isn't able to handle. Her body then proceeds to discharge sickness to those around her until she is able release the disease she is experiencing from her body. As for the time period, it occurs and remains for a few days after consuming several diseases. Chronic Pain Transmission: A chronic pain transition can be used to condemn violence against others in a 20ft radius from the young woman. This transmission is only exclusive to Larraine whilst she is dealing with confronting her abilities and has engulfed a disease; or several. There are however negative effects that can be brought along with this effect, such as; only being able to transmit a similar level of pain that she is experiencing at that given moment. Another negative notion of this ability could be that whenever her concentration was interrupted whilst transferring pain, it is plausible that she could misdirect the chronic pain to an innocent individual in the vicinity.
This ability is more effective on non-mutants and adapted humans opposed to mutants. The reason behind a fellow-mutant experiencing less pain than say, a non-mutant or adapted human is because their body already contains the X-Gene in some form or another. This means that their body wouldn't have to suffer from cross-contamination between an average contagion and its developed-self because of Larraine's abilities.
Weaknesses and Limitations: An infamous limitation of hers is subconsciously projecting nausea, sickness and delirium to the mortals surrounding her after the overuse of her capabilities. For this reason, individuals aren't allowed to be in her vicinity without risking danger, and the lack of socialization that is brought on by this weakness is limiting in itself. Especially considering that this can lead to death when untreated.
Despite her abilities, Larraine's immune system is only able to tolerate in largest a maximum of ten diseases at once; including viruses, colds, disorders. This can proceed her to depart reality into a 'hibernated state' after digesting said diseases. A major threat of this is that the illnesses within her body have been known to mutate and adapt together, spreading, and thus worsening the damage they have on her immune system.
Further explanation of her limitations, weaknesses and overall nuances are explained above in the ability section.
Physical Abilities: General Physical Capabilities: Her physical capabilities can be to a lesser extent of that of a human’s in the process of ingesting a virus, causing her to be fatigued and have symptoms of the virus or condition that she has absorbed. She has no previous fighting experience and wouldn’t be able to hold her own against an experienced fighter unless she strategies or uses her powers against them.
Her immune system, physical strength and immunity is benefited from her ability; as for each encounter with her capabilities, Larraine physically adapts to generate strength to repress certain symptoms that manifests in her body. An adjustment of minor added physical strength has been accommodated in her body for this reason; as an adjustment to be able to suppress occurrences from outwards as well as inwards.
Fighting Style: A fighting style isn't present in Larraine's knowledge, however, compromising by using her abilities to her advantage is a must in menacing situations.
History Of Your Character
Born into an irresponsible, traditional household, Larraine’s childhood was traumatizing; especially considering that the teenager was born into a barbarous area in Brooklyn, New York. The majority of her childhood was confined, lonesome; television was her sole reason for happiness, that’s until her introduction to the school-system occurred. Academically, musically; these areas the young, ‘rebellious’ female shined in. For the first time in her adolescence, Larraine felt a sense of pride and grew individually. Despite her parent’s radical beliefs, her main aim throughout her childhood was to impress her parents. However, that would soon alter at the age of eight as her younger, submissive sister, Ava, was born.
Unfortunately, being the elder between her sister, Larraine was destined to provide emotionally for her younger sibling as both of her parents were away; either working to support their low income family, or to protest. This irked the female, as her sister now garnered additional attention and she was ‘forgotten’ about in a sense; an accessory for child support. Beyond their sibling rivalry, a close kinship was formed between the two. Although her scorn was apparent initially, they were viewed as inseparable by outsiders and even their parents eventually. Throughout the years, her jealously lessened and bickering had essentially forfeited.
A fateful, hectic day proceeded to change the teenager’s life at the youthful age of eleven years old. She began experiencing chest-pain, breathlessness, however, this wouldn’t cause her parents imitate concern. This soon would be known other than a common-day cold, as Larraine had been suffering from it for the past few weeks and thus, an appointment to the E.R. finally emerged. Contradictory of her parents, the doctors expressed prominent distress for the young female; as her symptoms were no laughing matter whatsoever. She was then in that moment diagnosed, sympathetically, with cancer.
A clear prediction for anyone’s impulse reaction would subsequently be that death was going ultimately follow their constant direction. This wasn’t the case for the young female however, as her parents appeared to show authentic worry for their child for the first time in years after neglecting her, and this was the main reason for her disorientation. A diagnosis, a simple-diagnosis caused others to eventually pay attention to her as a human-being. An impactful diagnosis, both on her mental-state and elsewhere, as an unexpected turn occurred that her parents despised. Their daughter was the mere inferior human that they had protested against for years; a mutant. In an instance, the support she gathered throughout the past few months had altered into hatred and consequently, rejection loomed into her life once again.
The main skepticism with her diagnosis is that despite her chemo-therapy, Larraine’s bodily functions appeared to rapidly cure the cancerous cells in her body within months. Furthermore, their disbelief expanded as the girl continuously contained further diseases in her body, even sexually contracted diseases which lead to the questioning of her parental-guardians. As the diseases continued to protract and heal whilst under supervision, an agreement was formed by personnel that the young-teen was in fact an oddity, a mutant. This caused her to express dread, as her parents were now aware of her capabilities. Expecting a reaction from her guardians, she emotionally-prepared to be disowned. That however didn’t arrive as their guardianship removed from their children; and the siblings were separated from each other.
Therefore, she was then placed into a foster-home. It wasn’t accordingly nurturing, nor was exemplary treatment given to her by her caregivers. Throughout the next few years, her emotional-state declined into doubting common intentions and overall, distrusting humanity as an entire whole.
Unfortunately, after receiving pleasant results from her final examination, a mishap happened as another student began tormenting her for her ‘deathly appearance’. She subconsciously released a toxin, a gas-like substance, causing several students to have delirium and for the tormentor to be placed into critical condition. Afterwards, she was placed under house arrest, albeit briefly. Her foster-parents then essentially informed her that she had to move elsewhere as they labelled her as a ‘distrusting, hazardous mutant’. As a homeless without guidance, she’ll have a tendency to be homeless altogether, especially when she isn’t able to provide for herself financially with babysitting.
Given her circumstances, Larraine’s attempting to rectify the potential she has; wherever that may be academically or with the potency of her capabilities. She currently resides in New York, travelling back and forth between occupational opportunities. As of present, it is plausible that you’re aware of her existence as the ‘homeless youth that you pitifully ignored eye-contact with,’ however, there’s a determination that is contained within the girl for her pursuit to go elsewhere in life.

Her composure was sprawled across the alleyway floor. A disappointment, a failure, all of these comments is how she would describe herself; as her hair dampened due to the rain from above faintly dripping onto her frame. The non-infectious, adapted lumps spread across her arms brought her into a frantic state of mind momentarily. Her finger gently pressed up against the lump and thus, a dreaded mumble escaped was vocalized. The apprehension of the gut-wrenching feeling of dread was adamant throughout her mind as she was isolated on the floor. "What's the point in living anymore?" was a frequent thought, to say the least. Instantaneously, a clamorous sound had caught her attention as her head turned towards another homeless youth, who was searching for scraps. The debris hid the young female away from sight, however, that would be soon interrupted as she stood and approached the individual for contact. Her body, specifically the sores in particular, caused her intense ache as her body moved to her destination. Her eyes met with the saddening, expected view, as she glared to the disturbed homeless youth. "Sorry, I thought you were someone else," an excuse was communicated to the youth as they scowled in her direction. An eye roll was unavoidable as they continued searching for their desired item and as for Larraine, she began traveling back to her original position.
That however would be interrupted as her mouth was forced agape. An absorption of air, among other entities then entered throughout her body; primarily common contagions from the individual she had momentarily interacted with. Throughout this process, the individual's mouth was enforced open. As the transaction halted, Larraine's initial reaction was to apologize. Shortly afterwards, however, they would scatter away in a logical, frenzied state. She scoffs, astonishingly finding enough strength to crawl back to her original location, sitting on the unwelcoming alleyway-floor. Tears brought themselves down onto her cheek in a solemn manner and eventually, the abundant amount of pain caused her to slip into unconsciousness; entering a shock-induced coma. With no resources or assistance, there is no knowing if she would be able to survive, as the world around her faded into nothingness.
