Primal nodded his head as Khalil explained how he was able to fly. It was quite interseting to say the least. Being that he could communicate with animals, he actually never asked them how it felt to be them. Maybe he'll change that. Maybe not. "Hm...it's a bird, it's a plane. Nah, just a sexy a$$ demon." He chuckled deepy and moved his hand to Khalil's. Gods, he couldn't get over how beautifully mutated he was.
"The zoo," he said quickly, "I would love to get to know more about you." Primal purred before leaning down to kiss his hand. Those little kisses trailed up his forearm. "So handsome..."

When Allegra arrived and asked if anyone wanted drinks, Derek was the first one to raise his hand. "Me! God, I love those smoothies." He stated with a wide smile.
"I'm doin' okay, actually," he smiled at Allegra before glancing over at Doug. "...So, turns out Doug isn't gay, but he knows a friend of his that is. That's cool, huh?"

Derek nodded his head and moistened his lips, "oh, I am. It'll be nice to cook side by side with a snake-Vogue model," he teased with a sly grin across his lips, "you can show me how to make a traditional Russian breakfast." He moved his hands all over Aleksandr's body just to feel his scales against his dark skin. He moved forward and kissed his chest. It came out of nowhere, yes, but Derek was feeling a bit affectionate.
If Aleskandr wanted to cook for him, then by all means, Derek was going to let him. He snuggled closer to Aleskandr and took in a deep breath of his scent. "Hm..." He sighed and pulled back to look at Aleskandr's face. "Thanks for lettin' me stay over."

"Dat's... quite neat. What's the strangest animal you have ever talked to? Do dey ever say weird things?"
"Strangest animal? I once had a conversation with a sealion at the zoo one time. He wanted me to give him a pale of fish. Unfortunately, I didn't have that." There had been other encounters with animals, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Speaking of, he needed to pick up some dead mice for Vix before he went back to the Honeycomb.

"I agree," Derek sighed and closed the book. He studied Victoria's face before smiling. "I think I'm gonna hit the hay. Maybe tomorrow we can stay up and talk some more." The twenty-year-old mutant gave her a smile before standing up from the chair. He the books back where originally found them.
"I'll see you around, Victoria. Nice meetin' you," and with that, Derek headed upstairs to sleep.

Derek wrapped his arms around Xavia's waist. He knew that he couldn't yank her from Artair, but in order for the Scotsman to do his job, she would have to let go. "Come on, Xavia. It'll be okay." He gentled tried to pull her away from Artair while whispering words of comfort and gentleness.
Derek hated seeing her like this. He hated everything that happened to sweet, sweet Xavia.

Derek listened closely to what Allegra had to say. He knew a good number of mutants who felt the way that Allegra did. He just wished that she wasn't so down in the dumps about herself. He hoped that she would grow in appreciating of her mutant-ness. "I guess I understand that. Being new to the mutant population is a working process to say the least."
When Allegra expressed her concern for Xavia, Derek moved so that he was sitting crisscross in the mud bath. "Yeah, she's goin' through a lot right now. She just needs time." He took in a deep breath and turned his head when Xavia walked back into the spa room. "Are you okay?" He asked his other best friend quietly.

Dinner was amazing to say the least and the conversation that he was able to have with Nate was definitely a bonus. However, now it was time to get back to work and to accomplish their goal. Derek changed his outfit to a black turtleneck and a pair of black jeans. Though, Derek being Derek, he couldn't pass up a chance to comment on his pants, "Nice outfit," he whispered with a grin.
Okay, back to business.
Derek listened to Nate explain what their time limit was and what their objective was. The mutant gave a head nod in understanding to the other. "Got it." He then watched as Nate's show came up from the concrete and formed staircases. That was convenient. Derek quickly followed after Nate up the stairs. He made sure not to trip and fall and instead kept a low profile. "I can get a couple of bats to help us out," he offered, "y'know, for extra pairs of eyes."

Nate was also very convincing when it came to sharing his concern over the welfare of the shipyard workers. Then again, that could just be because he was a good actor. Nate looked like he could be an actor. He has a very actor-esque personality and body. Anyways, back to the mission at hand.
"Thank you a lot for your help. I'll make sure that you're taken care of," Derek smiled warmly at the man and watched as he went back to work. He waited until the man was out of earshot before turning his attention to Nate.
"So, eleven o'clock. We come back at that time?" Derek asked, scratched the scruff that was growing on his chin.

Primal scuffed at the answer and shook his head. That was bullshark. Total bullshark. "That's ridiculous, Stalker and you know it. How can you stand by and allow the government to do something like that to people like us? You're one sick f***." Primal wasn't so pure either, but at least he wasn't a killer or anything like that. Well, except for that one time, but that man had it coming!
He down the two beers and was about to ask for another one when Stalker spoke to him,

The vet-in-training slowly turned to look over at Stalker. He allowed his eyes to fall over his body before grinning. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a twenty and slammed it on the counter top. Primal leaned in toward Stalker and whispered, "maybe we should go somewhere more comfortable, Stalker."[/font]He then pulled away before heading out of the bar.

Derek nodded his head and watched the skies for a couple of birds to come closer to them. He whistled a couple of times until a finch swooped down and landed on his shoulder. Derek cooed at her for a bit before looking over at Sveta, then back at the finch. "Hey, we have a job for you. Can you go rally a couple of birds and check out the rip? It's important to myself and my friend here." The bird chirped a couple of times before taking flight again. Derek sighed contently and looked over at Sveta with a smile. "Now we wait!"

Derek scratched the back of his neck in thought. There was still a lot that Derek didn't know about his mutation and he doubted that he would ever be able to. Or, well currently that is. "I don't know how to explain it, but once I learn more about my self, I'l let you know." The twenty-year-old was starting to feel tired and would probably be heading to bed soon.
Derek smiled, "well, do you have other people to talk to at night?"
