The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It took some adjusting and some very long phone calls every night for the first week or so, but Agnes and Rebecca were finally adjusting to not living in the same building. The girls ended up so busy with homework that they started not having the time to mope around and feel lonely. Agnes was also still close enough that Rebecca took occasional visits for lunch or dinner or even more rarely a sleepover, (when Rebecca would send the night having Carol burn a whole into the side of her head with a glare.) It was not easy, but they were two mature young adults balancing relationships, academics and other responsibilities.
Or at least that was what they had to be most nights. Tonight they could be selfish! Fate smiled upon the lovers and neither had homework on the same night. To celebrate the kindness of good fortune, Agnes returned to the mansion to spend the night with Rebecca, just like old times.
There was a movie watched alone in the dark, and dinner shared with Gina, who certainly deserved some time with her sister as well. With the night's festivities in the past, Rebecca and Agnes were back in Rebecca's room, and bedtime was approaching.
Rebecca was in the bathroom brushing her teeth, wearing comfy pajama pants and a sleeveless pajama top. She had cleaned up everything in preparation of the rare and appreciated visit. The room had nary been as presentable since the day she moved in, with books shelved, papers in drawers, and real estate booklets tucked away under the bed. (Sure, they weren't planning on moving in together until next summer, but it did not hurt to start looking early, right? Agnes did not have to know of Rebecca's research just yet anyway...)
Rebecca called out to her girlfriend changing in the room through a mouth of toothpaste foam. "Daes it feel nice being back at th' mansion?"
The smell of the mansion was probably what Agnes missed most. Though of course she loved Rebecca and her sister Gina, the thing that she was most lacking over at Juilliard probably was the smell of the mansion. The fresh grass, the baking in the kitchen, the scent of just, people, mutants, everything! It was something that was just different at this place that Juilliard didn’t have. Boy, he certainly was glad to be back, even if it was only for just a night.
She sighed as she began to strip off her top (which smelled of the pizza that they had for dinner), choosing instead to wear her long, flowing, purple nightshirt. It hung down just to her knees and was perfect for her to curl up in whenever it was cold. Underneath these, was a pair of comfy black shorts that had the word “START” sewn down the hip. Making sure that everything was comfy, she sighed as she sat at the edge of Rebecca’s bed.
It was funny. Even though they had spent as much time together as they could before she moved out to Juilliard, it still felt like it was an eon since she last had a chance to share a bed with her. Even though that was clearly not true, the separation that the two of them had was still something they had to get used to.
Agnes remembered her first night at Juilliard. She almost wanted to cry because she felt so isolated. Sure, Felicia was a blast to hang out with, and even though Carol was a complete monster she left them alone, but despite all that, Agnes still felt a tinge of loneliness. Maybe it was because it reminded her too much of the old days, when she used to sleep in alleys and abandoned buildings. There was always a sense of the unfamiliar around her that she was always alert. Then the mansion came into her life and truly offered her a chance to be a part of a family. Now that she had moved out, she was terrified of being alone again.
But, she was able to talk herself down. Obviously the two situations were far from the same. Juilliard was a school, not some cold, windswept alley that chilled her down to the bone and was wrought with dangers. It was only with that realization that she finally began to balance out. Schoolwork became her top priority; talking with Rebecca every chance she got became her second top priority.
Slowly Agnes got her life together and now she was going to reap the rewards of that. She had not been alone with her sweet Scot in what felt like so long that she fully embraced this evening of fun, movies, and good food. Now all she needed was a warm bed to wrap her arms around her lover and drift into the comforts of sleep.
>> "Daes it feel nice being back at th' mansion?"
Agnes smirked as she looked up from her sitting position and glanced around into the bathroom. Rebecca was there, brushing her teeth.
“It does,” she said with a smile as she swung her legs a little back and forth. “It feels comforting. I mean, Juilliard is great and all, but it doesn’t have Gina, and it definitely doesn’t have you.” she smiled wide at her. “How does it feel not having me down the hall anymore? Not being seduced by other girls are you?” She asked with a toothy grin.

>> “It does. It feels comforting. I mean, Juilliard is great and all, but it doesn’t have Gina, and it definitely doesn’t have you. How does it feel not having me down the hall anymore? Not being seduced by other girls are you?”
Agnes knew exactly how to make Rebecca feel special, treating her as one of the major reasons Julliard was missing something. The feeling went both ways, as the Mansion certainly felt more empty without her pixie princess floating through the halls.
Tonight was not for moping and complaining about missing one another though; this was the rare occasion that they actually had one another, so the focus would remain positive.
Rebecca spit into the sink and leaned down to rinse her mouth out with the stream of water. With her mouth now minty and kissable, Rebecca grinned and replied, "Oh, Ah dae my best tae stave the girlies and lads off."
In an attempt to create some silly melodrama, Rebecca stepped into the doorway, pressing herself up against the frame in a longing pose. "But some nights are sae lonely, an' Ah can only be sae strong."
Rebecca turned herself around so her back was pressed against the wall. She arched her back, lifting her knee so her foot could press against the wall, and placed her forearm over her forehead, feigning helplessness. "Why, Ah worry if someone tried tae seduce me right now, Ah'd be helpless tae resist!" Hopefully Agnes picked up on her role in this fantasy.
>> "Oh, Ah dae my best tae stave the girlies and lads off."
Agnes smirked a little as she leaned back, pressing her hands against the mattress to support her. In doing so, the collar of her shirt slipped down, past onto her shoulders, exposing her pale, flawless skin to the cool air. She knew that Rebecca was just kidding, she had nothing to fear of Rebecca being unfaithful. The two of them were so devoted to each other that Agnes had really begun to believe in the idea of soul mates and destinies. She found Rebecca and she had no plans of every separating from her.
She really hoped that Rebecca felt the same.
Leaning against the bed, she looked up as Rebecca finally stepped into the room. There was a silly smile on her face as she watched her saunter in and then take a rather coy looking expression as she leaned against the doorframe. Agnes couldn’t help the smile on her features as Rebecca began to display her particular affinity for acting.
>> "But some nights are sae lonely, an' Ah can only be sae strong."
Her eyebrow arched as she watched her girlfriend closely.
>> "Why, Ah worry if someone tried tae seduce me right now, Ah'd be helpless tae resist!"
Agnes smirked. She could play games too. Casually she crossed her legs, which caused the hem of her shirt to lift up just a tiny bit. A look of innocence was on her face as she nibbled on her bottom lip and sighed a bit mournfully.
“Oh no. But…I’m feeling a little weak willed myself,” she said as the collar of her night shirt dipped a tiny bit lower to reveal more of her shoulders. “Whatever shall we do?”

>> “Oh no. But…I’m feeling a little weak willed myself. Whatever shall we do?”
Curse her and her obvious secondary mutation of being sexy and irresistible to Rebecca's eyes! Agnes biting her lip made it harder to be clever or think coherently, a condition worsened as the hem of that shirt crawled up Agnes's thigh.
Rebecca pushed off the wall, making strides toward the bed. "Would it mean us any lesser if we submitted tae our weakness? Tae give in tae animalistic urges and ravage one another like hormonal, teenage bunnies?" Even rolling off the tongue, the plan sounded amazing.
She reached the side of the bed, placing her hands on Agnes's shoulders as her toe tugged the real estate book out from under the bed and behind Rebecca, who was too busy crawling onto the bed and Agnes herself to notice. Dramatically, she ushered, "Would it be sae wrong of me... tae have you for myself?"
This was definitely the sort of fun she missed out on when roommates were around.
Agnes smirked as she continued to watch Rebecca. She could already see that her resolve was completely shaking apart. It was quite flattering for Agnes to see that she had this effect on her girlfriend; half the time it caused her blush fiercely. But, right now, considering the fact that she had been separated from the sweet Scot for so long, she was more than willing to embrace the sensuality that Rebecca always made her feel she had.
It was the hem of her shirt that did it. Agnes knew that. She caught Rebecca’s eyes as they drifted downward and that seemed to be what spurred her to push herself off the door and saunter over with the most transparent of intentions.
>> "Would it mean us any lesser if we submitted to our weakness? To give in to animalistic urges and ravage one another like hormonal, teenage bunnies?”
Agnes giggled as she felt the warm hands of her lover press against her shoulders and slowly push her back down against the bed. Agnes gave no resistance as she wrapped her arms around Rebecca’s slim waist and sighed a bit in content. This was definitely something that she had missed from her time in living at Juilliard.
Looking up at the blanket of red her hair that brushed against her features, Agnes closed her eyes and smiled a bit. It was a feeling that she hoped she would never have to give up.
>> "Would it be so wrong of me... to have you for myself?"
Grinning from ear to ear, Agnes shook her head as she leaned up and carefully planted the softest and most teasing of kisses against those perfect lips. Sure they had kissed whenever they found time to hang out during the school week, but it was always around other people or in public. Here, in the sanctity of their own room, there could be a bit more energy behind the meeting of their lips.
Slowly, peeling her lips away from the Scot, she smiled as she looked up into her eyes and nod, still nibbling on her bottom lip cutely.
“Only if I can have you,” she whispered back.
Blushing a little at her own actions, she turned her gaze away from Rebecca to keep from giggling too loud. This was fun, it really was, but Agnes really was such a sensitive sort. But that didn’t mean she wanted any of this good feeling to stop.
It was as she adverted her eyes as she spied something on the ground. A magazine of sorts that was not there before. In plain, bold, white lettering, she saw the word “APARTMENT” on the cover. Her head tilted curiously as she peered at the magazine, hands squeezing Rebecca's hips gently.
“Love?” she asked curiously and smiled a bit. “What’s that all about?”

>> “Only if I can have you.”
Rebecca grinned, feeling like the most desirable woman in the world reflecting in the eyes of her lover. Agnes made her feel so... gorgeous and so... sensual. There was a sparkle in Rebecca's eyes as she leaned in to kiss Agnes's neck. "Then have me, and all my weakness," she whispered.
Oh yeah. It was so bunny time. There was nothing stoppi--
>> “Love? What’s that all about?”
Rebecca was caught off guard, because those sounded like words, and not moans of "hey, I like that; that feels good." She removed herself from the soft skin of Agnes's neck and turned to look at the culprit that was interrupting her happy time.
Her eyes widened when she realized her folly; she had pulled the real estate book out from her bed, and was caught cold. "T-that? That's nothing." She turned her attention back to Rebecca, who was now hastily planting kisses on Agnes's neck and shoulder. "Certainly not worth getting distracted over, right?"
Agnes had really been enjoying all of Rebecca’s attentions. Honestly, she was! The tenderness of her lips, the feeling of her fingers as they touched her skin, the smell of her hair which had a distant and faint scent of honey, all of it was so alluring. The issue, though, is that Agnes tended to be easily distracted when she least wanted to be. Though just being in the presence of her girlfriend, one whom she hadn’t really had a moment alone with in a long while, was great…she was definitely intrigued by this mystery that loomed ahead of her.
She titled her head at the real estate book, feeling the frantic kisses of her girlfriend trying to pull her back into the moment. Yeah, sadly it was too late…
>> "T-that? That's nothing…Certainly not worth getting distracted over, right?"
Grins touched her face, giggles broke through her lips as she tried to catch Rebecca’s eye. Finally, though, seeing that Rebecca was not stopping, she decided to take action of her own.
Kiss…Kiss…Kiss…
She sighed as she gently turned the sweet Scot’s face so that they were eye to eye. But instead of saying anything, Agnes leaned up and kissed her fairly passionately upon the lips. It was a kiss of deprivation, a kiss that poured into Rebecca every ounce of her longing for her that had accumulated over the time since she moved to Juilliard.
With sensual touches, she carefully pushed up so that their bodies pressed together. Upon doing so, Agnes carefully moved Rebecca over until the petite redhead was now pinned to the bed. Straddling her waist, Agnes grinned as her kisses grew softer, calmer, and finally stopped all together. Sitting up, still atop her girlfriend, she crossed her arms over her chest defiantly.

It would seem Rebecca's pathetic ploy had worked! Agnes took her and kissed her so passionately, the strawberry blonde was having trouble putting thoughts together. She submitted without resistance, letting Agnes take the lead with the kissing. It was not usually Agnes's thing to be the one taking charge and in control, but when she took the reigns, Rebecca was happy to follow the leader. She did not even mind Agnes repositioning her, so she was looking up at the lovely frame of her girlfriend.
>> “Now, Rebecca Grey. Talk.”
Correction: She was looking up at her girlfriend who was holding her captive. Rebecca had been tricked by base deception and seduction. There was no ignoring it; she lost.
Rebecca's voice was whining and whimpering, trailing off after each excuse. "But! Not important... but sex... bunnies..." She pouted, accepting defeat. "Fine."
She sat up, adjusting so Agnes could slide off her lap and onto the bed, allowing Rebecca to stand up. She picked up the booklet and sat down next to Agnes. "So, it's a little early, Ah know. Ah just... well, Ah figured it wouldnae hurt tae look at the kinda apartments available."
After not being embarrassed at all about "giving into animalistic urges," Rebecca now found herself blushing after admitting her apartment hunting. "That's nae... weird, right?" Hopefully Rebecca's apparent rush to commitment did not scare sense into her girlfriend.
>> "But! Not important... but sex... bunnies...Fine."
Agnes beamed in triumph. She really didn’t even need to try that hard to deceive Rebecca. She guessed that her sweet girlfriend’s hormones were probably ricocheting off the walls and that was why she was able to pull on over on her. Well, whatever the reason, Agnes was just happy for the outcome. Rebecca was subdued to the point where she couldn’t offer up much of a resistance anymore. She admitted defeat and Agnes nodded firmly.
“I thought so,” she grinned. Rebecca began to sit up, allowing Agnes to slide off and back onto the bed. She seated herself comfortably as she waited for Rebecca to return to her side.
Quickly the redhead scooped up the booklet and returned to the bed. Agnes looked at the cover curiously as she tried to decipher exactly what Rebecca was up to.
>> "So, it's a little early, Ah know. Ah just... well, Ah figured it wouldnae hurt tae look at the kinda apartments available."
Seeing the reason behind the booklet immediately brought a smile to Agnes’ face. They both had made the promise when they were in Scotland that they would seek out an apartment together after the end of their first years in college. It seemed like a decision that was so big and important to them, but it seemed so early to start looking into it.
Apparently, though, Rebecca didn’t think so. Agnes could only grin at this knowledge.
>> "That's nae... weird, right?"
Shaking her head, Agnes suddenly leaned in and kissed Rebecca on the lips again. This was not for deception or subterfuge, simply out of the overwhelming love she felt in her heart for this young woman.
“No, of course not!” she smiled. “I’ve…been kinda curious myself. I guess the earlier we do our research, the better so that we don’t have to worry about falling in over our heads. Did anything look good?” she asked as she pressed close to Rebecca and peered at the booklet.

>> “No, of course not! I’ve…been kinda curious myself. I guess the earlier we do our research, the better so that we don’t have to worry about falling in over our heads. Did anything look good?”
Agnes's approval of Rebecca's secret hobby was a load off of her shoulders. Agnes was still Rebecca's first girlfriend, so she had no idea of how fast or slow these things were normally supposed to go. Agnes was so polite, Rebecca always worried she would just keep it to herself when she was uncomfortable, but it honestly seemed like Agnes was on the same page with her. It was hard not to think they were meant for one another when things were working so perfectly.
Rebecca flipped through the pages, revealing a few entries circled with a black marker. "Well, this was mostly jist looking and getting ideas for what would work for us, or what we coulds afford." There were a few one bedroom options circled, but most of what was circled were studios. "Ah mean, we probably coulds not afford tae much. It might not be th' greatest place." It was hard to admit that the place they would share together would be anything less than perfect, Rebecca thought with a small frown.
Agnes had to admit that she as a little excited by this turn of events. Of course, she was excited before, sharing this lovely time with her significant other was very important to her. And, even though they had not been alone in a long time, she found herself actually wanting to discuss this right here and now. After all, this was their future so why not discuss it when the suspicious ears of passer-bys weren’t around?
Besides, it was not like they were going to be talking about apartments ALL night long. She saw no reason to have just a tiny break before they concluded the night of festivities. After all, it was always so much fun to tease Rebecca just a little bit.
She snuggled in close and peered in a very interested manner at the booklet that young Scot had laid out for them.
>> "Well, this was mostly jist looking and getting ideas for what would work for us, or what we coulds afford…Ah mean, we probably coulds not afford tae much. It might not be th' greatest place."
It was strange, looking at this listing of apartments and studios and possibly thinking that any one of them could be their future home. It was such a tantalizing idea that Agnes really was getting more excited about it as the days ticked away. But she was not so excited that she was not looking at the real life implications of what it was they were getting themselves into. Moving in together was not just some fun endeavor, it was going to take work on both of their parts, and since the both of them could, at best, work small jobs at first because they would be going to college at the same time, they obviously would not be affording the lap of luxury.
Rebecca seemed to reiterate this as she peered down at the listings, noticing that a lot of the studios were circled and outnumbered the one-bedroom apartments. In reality, though, as hard as Agnes knew it would be, she was not really all that worried about the aesthetics about their future home. So long as it had Rebecca.
Smiling a sidelong glance at the redhead, Agnes leaned in and gave her the tenderest of kisses upon her cheek, and then again on freckled skin of her neck.
“So long as it has you, it will be,” she said sweetly and with firm determination in her eyes. Rebecca was the one she wanted, and she would do everything in her power to keep it that way…

>> “So long as it has you, it will be."
Agnes's words caused a tingle across Rebecca's skin that rivaled the tingling of Agnes's soft lips against her skin. Agnes chose the perfect thing to say. She always did. It was like she had the ability to look into her and find a cheat-sheet.
Rebecca turned and grabbed Agnes by the shoulders, pushing her down on the bed. She kissed her girlfriend, making it clear how pleased Rebecca was with her. "Ah love you sae much."
Rebecca kissed Agnes's neck and her collarbone, intending to push forward into the next part of their night, but a new thought dawned on her. Rebecca lifted herself a bit to meet Agnes's eyes with her now very excited ones. "Oh! Idea!"
Rebecca sat up to present her proposal. "Sae, we worn't be getting an apartment yet, Ah know, bit wouldnae it be fun if maybe, after classes taemorrow, we gae look at an apartment? Nae for serious, bit jist tae be one of those cute couples debating o'er bathrooms an' kitchen cabinets." Rebecca wanted to live up to every cliche.
Her eyes pleaded as desperately and pathetically as she could manage. "Please, honey?"
And just like that, Agnes was attacked again. She smirked though and didn’t bother to resist it. Rebecca had give up the knowledge of what she was keeping from her so she saw no real reason to young her lover any longer. She gratefully accepted her girlfriend as she leaned in close, planting another kiss on her lips and wrapping her arms tightly around her.
>> "Ah love you sae much."
Every time, every single time she heard those words it caused her heart to take off like a rocket. Agnes felt her insides grow warm and mushy and saw only sparkles in the eyes of the Scot who kissed her. The young runaway always felt like such a princess whenever she was around Rebecca. She made her feel wanted, loved, and extremely sensual. That was why she loved Rebecca so much, because she completed that missing part of her that Agnes had spent her whole life looking for.
Hands slipping across the redhead’s lower back, Agnes smiled in a sultry manner as she leaned up to plant another kiss--
>> "Oh! Idea!”
Fuuuuuuuuu--! Agnes grumbled in her thoughts, though still smiling sweetly at the redhead. Rebecca was sitting up, a look of a determined plan on her face.
>> “Sae, we worn't be getting an apartment yet, Ah know, bit wouldnae it be fun if maybe, after classes taemorrow, we gae look at an apartment? Nae for serious, bit jist tae be one of those cute couples debating o'er bathrooms an' kitchen cabinets…Please, honey?"
The look was desperate, but there was so much sweetness and tenderness behind those eyes that Agnes could not help the swelling in her heart. The idea of doing this, of actually going out to apartments, looking at places (even if they would not be moving in for another year), actually put the stamp of reality on the entire situation. If they were to do this, it could no longer just be something they talked about, they would be actively creating a future for themselves.
Agnes smiled, wide, at the idea.
Leaning in, slowly, she vey softly and gently brushed her lips against Rebecca’s. This was not a kiss fueled by passion, but instead by deep and utter love. There was such sweetness in her kiss it felt almost like it was the first time all over again.
When the kiss broke, she grinned as she leaned back, still nibbling a little on her bottom lip nervously. Her heart pounded as she thought about apartment shopping with Rebecca. It was going to be such a great day! The knowledge of that made her nod in agreement.
“Yes,” she responded with a firm nod. “I would love to do that!”

Ooooh my, did Rebecca love how Agnes kissed her. It was a tame kiss compared to the mood they were barreling towards moments earlier, but that was fine with Rebecca. She was still new to the whole love thing, but she was enjoying her experience with Agnes, and she would not mind if those kisses were the only ones to touch her lips for the rest of her time on earth.
>> “Yes, I would love to do that!”
Rebecca's eyes were beaming. If she started shooting lasers out of them, it would not be surprising, since it was the only way they could be shining any brighter. Realizing that, for all she knew, laser eyes could become part of her mutation without warning, she turned her head to the side, away from Agnes.
She dropped her body down, resting her head on Agnes's bosom, still grinning like a fool. "It'll be sae much fun! We can get nice and presentable, and have our arms interlocked when we get there! And, and we can talk about colors tae paint the place! Or if we can paint the place." She didn't really know how that worked with apartments. "And Ah can say things like, 'Ah dornt know, what dae you think honey?' Oh, Ah cannae wait!"
Rebecca remained there, daydreaming about their next day, pleasantly at peace with herself. It took a half a minute before reality returned and she remembered what she accidentally interrupted. She rolled over, so her chin was now resting at the center of Agnes's chest, looking up at Agnes with her pleading eyes once more. "Bunny time now?" After all, tomorrow was tomorrow, and tonight... that was another matter.
