The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

((OCC: Ok everyone. I'm sure you all got the messege from Lady J that I'm being put in second of command for the KP thread. Also I need to know from The Order who is going to be where. Kaz I know you're at the mansion and Abyss are you going to be in KP or at Sanctuary to meet the disguised X-Men? If you guys could PM me that would be great. I'm gonna do my best to keep things going. I'm working with Lady J on ideas but I know the general direction things need to go. Thanks guys.))
((OCC: Ok this is my second and last messege for everyone in KP. I'm going to make a post involving Jack and everyone in the holding cells. So once I post it I'll need all the captives to post their reactions. I'll get it posted up later tonight or possibly the early hours of the morning. I have to work on some ideas but I will get it posted for everyone to reply. Thanks again everyone.))
Inside Syn was getting upset with her brother and the captives yet she didn't let it show. She kept her calm demeanor and sly smile. She didn't really know what the end results would be. All she knew was that her job was to see what happens when Jack is in close proximity to the captured mutants and the couple humans Abyss had brought in. Those were her instructions from Mr. King and she would make sure they were put into play.
“My dear brother, why don’t you go back and check on any new arrivals at The Sanctuary. I’m sure you’ll find plenty to do there, and it will give us time to think about what’s going to happen.” She ushered her very big and very red brother to the elevator. Basically treating him like a little kid in a sense. Letting him know everything would be ok and that he should check on their home.
Once Abyss was on his way the wickedness within Syn began to surface a bit. A sinister gleam was in her eyes. Finally, I get to see what happens to other mutants when Jack is near them. Making her way back to Sentinel she smiled at him. “What’s supposed to happen is that we get to see what you can really do with your mutations and if anyone of you are useful to us. I really can’t say what’ll happen if we decide that we don’t need you. That part isn’t up to me. Now, if you’ll excuse me I have matters to tend to.”
Walking over to one of the technicians she spoke softly to the man. She didn’t want her prey to know what was about to happen. Moving back to the cell with the humans in it she waited for the cell door to open. When it did she grabbed two of the humans and pulled them out of the cell. Anyone looking at their faces could tell that the men were in shock that such a little lady could snatch the grown men up with such little effort. Syn then moved in front of Iris’ cell and the door opened. She immediately shoved one of the guys at Iris so as to stop any possible escape from the girl while the door was open. The door quickly shut and Syn moved over to the cell holding Iara. She did the same thing as she did with Iris and shoved the second guy into the cell and waited for the door to close. Now that she was done putting the guinea pigs in with the lab rats she had to get Jack.
Jack was just sitting in her little room trying to make the best of her situation. She had been afforded some luxuries such as a TV, some movies, a CD player and a random selection of music CD’s as well as some books and magazines. It wasn’t the presidential suite but it could’ve been worse.
Before entering Jack’s room Syn began letting out her pheromones to help keep Jack calm and cooperative. Syn opened the door and walked in. “Jack, can you come with me please? I thought you might want to take a walk instead of being cooped up in your room.” Syn smiled sweetly at the girl and offered her hand.
When Syn came back to the control center for the holding cells all the human technicians had left. However the one technician Syn had spoken with earlier had given her access to the computer and showed her a few things. Checking Jack for a second to make sure she was still under Syn’s power she started typing away.
Within the holding cells several small panels slid open and out shot several adhesive tipped wires. They attached to the captive mutants in various places such as the neck, forehead or temple area and the hands. Not wasting any time and using this little surprise to her advantage Syn grabbed Jack’s hand once again and walked with her into the holding area until Jack’s ability was close enough to begin affecting the unsuspecting captives. This was the point in time Syn had been waiting for most. She waited to see the results of the haywire effect.

Once Syn and her brother had disappeared from sight, Iris gave way to the shiver she'd been resisting.
"That is one creepy woman," she stated quietly. She sighed, and looked around at her fellow captives. "Well," she sighed, "Looks like shorting out the locks won't work. Any other suggestions?" She hoped they did. She glanced at Iara and the position she was in. "Isn't that uncomfortable?"
Several minutes passed. At one point she felt a slight tingle run down her spine; her body had recallibrated, meaning she could use another gem now. Of course, given past experience, she wasn't quite ready to do so just yet.
Syn suddenly reappeared. Iris reflexively moved away from the front of the cell as she passed. The smile on her face reminded Iris of a crocodile grinning at the zebra it was about to eat. When she came back she was literally dragging two men behind her. Iris didn't have time to react before one of them was shoved in at her. She caught the man, keeping him from falling over, but he pushed her away and retreated to the corner. The walls must have cooled fairly quickly. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Syn push the other guy into Iara's cell. Then Syn again vanished down the hall.
Iris looked at Iara in confusion. She didn't ask the question aloud, but it wasn't hard to tell what she was thinking. <"What's she up to?">

Iara watched Syn toss one of the guys into Iris's cell and raised an eyebrow. Suddenly her cell door opened and the other guy was thrown at her before she could run out. She caught him before before he could fall. She forced a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry mi amigo, you better thank the one above that you got stuck with the chick that saves your ass."
She saw him nod slightly and watched as Syn dissapeared. A bit of time passed and the man began to cough and hold his stomach. She walked over to him and put her hand on his shoulder and barely dodged his vomit.
"Oh.... merda!"
She suddenly realized there was no more pain in her mouth. She touched her jaw, the bite was still there but the venom seemed to have no effect. She suddenly snake spit onto the plexi-glass and watched in amazement as it burned through, leaving open spaces before the glass healed back up.
"We are getting out of here!"
Using up nearly all of her normal amount of venom she drew an oblongish figure and, with as much energy she could muster, slammed her body into the glass and sent the piece out. She grabbed the male's hand and snatched them both through the rapidly closing hole with inhuman fluidity. She put his arm over her shoulder and ran into the hallways without a look back. She had to find some kind of control panel or something where she could release everyone else.

Mettaliar glanced at the brother and sister as they walked off. He leaned against the wall and thought about taking a nap. He was a bit tired after all. Yet he was not granted the silence needed for when the woman returned she brought in two new people and stuffed them into other peoples cells. Oh I love how this is all becoming so much more interesting. he thought to himself.
While he was thinking to himself, he didn't really notice Syn typing on at the control panel. It wasn't until he felt the wires connect to him that he came back to reality. He wanted to rip them off, yet had a feeling it wouldn't be a good idea. Suddenly the new girl, apparently this Jack character, started to close in on the captives. Suddenly he started to feel his muscles spas for a bit, slowly becoming more and more violent. Once the clinks of falling metal and wood started to fall around him, he seriously started to get nervous.
"Well, I guess the fun is about to begin, ladies and gentlemen." he chuckled aloud.

Iris watched, relieved, as Syn disappeared yet again. She glanced at one of the guys in a cell next to Nail. He seemed completely unfazed by the situation.
"Wish I was calm as you," she told him. She wiped a bit of sweat from her forehead. The air in the cell was still hot, and she was still feeling a bit sick. Hoping the cell wouldn't react like it had before, she activated her ice power. She took a deep breath as coolness washed over her. For a moment she half expected to be heat-blasted again.
But nothing happned. Again she sighed in relief, and turned around. She immediately saw that the man in the corner was scared. If he hadn't guessed she was a mutant at first, he'd figured it out now. From the look in his eyes, she had no trouble guessing how he felt about it.
"Sorry!" she ecxlaimed reflexively. "I didn't mean to scare you. I won't hurt you, I promise." He didn't look convinced. "We're not with them, honest!" She flushed a bit in imagined embarrassment. Of course he knew that. After all, weren't they all locked up too?
Ten minutes earlier Iris would have been much friendlier, though most likely not reassuring. But now she simply retreated to the opposite corner of the cell. She sat down in the corner and pulled her knees up to her chest. She created a crystal of ice in her hand, about the size of a tennis ball, and nervously began molding it into different shapes. The man also seemed content to stay as far from her as possible.
She heard it before she saw it, but still the appearance of the wires caught her by surprise. As they touched her skin, a layer of ice froze them to her. Reflexively she gasped and jerked away, put previous experience kept her from completely ripping away. She couldn't figure out what she'd done this time for the cell to react this way, as Syn wasn't yet in sight range for her. When nothing painful happened, she concentrated on extending the ice over her whole body, to see if she could freeze them off.
It crept up on her at first, but quickly the base her head began to hurt. She winced. <"Just what I need. Another migraine."> Were the pills Kaz had given her wearing off? It had been quite a while since she'd taken them.
The man in the corner began moaning, as did the man in Iara's cell. She heard Iara swear in what sounded like Spanish, and looked up in time to see the man vomit. Her own cell mate was looking pale, and she could see his eyes were glassy.
"Ugh." The sight turned Iris' own stomach, which was also trying to rebel. She turned away, only to groan herself. The pain in her head shot through into her eyes and down her neck.
<"What's going on?"> she thought to herself. <"Why are they sick?"> It didn't occur to her that, whatever they were reacting to, it was affecting her as well.
"We are getting out of here!" Iara's voice echoed like thunder in Iris' ears. She opened one eye. Through blurred vision she thought she a snake running down the hall, pulling something along with its tail. She shook her head to clear her vision, and immediately regretted it. Fire lanced through her head and upper body, despite the frost that covered her body. Instinctively she curled into a ball, clutching her head. The ice continued to form a protective, though very thin shell around her, and she retreated into it, trying to dull the pain. In the back of her mind she wondered how that headache had come up so fast.
Iara ran through the halls and suddenly pulled them both into a side hallway when she thought she heard footsteps. The guy looked better and all she could do was lean against the wall and slide down. She ran her fingers through her hair and shook her head.
"Why are you sitting! You told me you were gong to save my ass!"
With unusual speed her hand was over mouth and she hissed at him. She stuck her head into the hallway and looked to make sure no one had heard him.
"Listen Otario, I want to get out of here as well but those are my friends back there and I'm not leaving them with that psycho carbra. Comprende?"
She watched him nod and noticed the glint of fear in his eyes. She raised an eyebrow and turned to look in the reflective "Break Glass in Case of Emergeny" over an axe. Her face seemed the same but as she opened her mouth 2in fangs unfolded from the roof of her mouth. She freaked, covering her mouth and backing in to the wall. She couldn't stop the muffled high-pitched scream.
The footsteps began to become louder and faster. She grabbed his hand and ran through the halls, it was so confusing. The more they ran the more they got lost until finally she was standing face to face with the Cabra.
"Ven!" She pushed the man. "Go!" She pushed him hard back into the hallway and watched him run. She stood stock still and let a fierce hiss eminate from her. She suddenly saw the young girl and smiled. Totally ignoring Syn she walked over and sat in front of her.
"Hola pequena." She extended a hand to her. "I am Iara, are you Jack?"

Draikhein awoke, "Where am I...?" he said drowzily he felt like he must have slept for days. He looked about seeing others in cages with him. He was a bit shocked to see this standing he let out a roar loud trying to attract some sort of attention.
He then looked about trying to see in the light, seeing some strange kid being brought to the cages of each of the captives. As soon as this 'kid' was brought to him, he roared once more feeling strange the scales on him began to grow going all over his body his wings growing larger, soon drapping lazily upon the floor. He did not like this feeling and another roar exited his mouth.
Then he felt it, it was a strange feeling. A warm senstation rising from his lungs as if they were on fire, but there was no pain. Infact it was soothing, as if all rage was coming out of him through his mouth. He soon found out why it was happening this way, a pillar of flame soon exited his mouth scorching a wall near him setting fire to anything that was near there. Each time Draikhein Roared it was followed by a pillar of flame erupting from his mouth that he could not control.
Infact he did not even know he could breath fire to begin with. So seeing the fire was a strange concept to him, but he could not control it, which scared him greatly.
Nail watched as a couple guys were shoved into Iara’s and Iris’s cells. The guys looked scared, and Nail admitted he would to by Syn’s malicious behavior. He could tell by her last words they were all in trouble, and she would make sure that none of this would be enjoyable.
She left, and there were a several, long minutes were nothing happened. Nail used this time to prepare himself. Something told him he was about to meet this Jack guy, and he wanted to be ready for him.
Leaning against the Plexi-glass on one arm Nail meditated on the situation, and he tried to smile when his gaze met Iris’s. When he saw the panels open in her cell, he stepped back from the glass, looking wary.
“Iris, look…”
He saw the needles shoot out a both her and the man in her cell, and at the exact same moment, he felt several things stab into him. He cringed slightly with pain, and the delayed reaction of his crystal armor finally took place. Small diamonds formed, swallowing up the needles at the point of entry. That definitely wasn’t helpful. It only wended them into place.
He tried tugging at one, but it was useless. The needles were now part of him until he calmed down enough for the crystal to wear off. However, he looked up from the cell, he saw Syn walk into the room. Beside her was a small girl, who looked scared. Even lonely…
<Is that… could that be Jack?> He really wasn’t expecting a small girl. He was expecting some smart ass guy who was going to play mind games with him, just like Syn had been doing for the past several hours.
As he gazed on the small girl, his nerves began to quiver. The sensation of being threatened seemed to overtake his mind. He felt as if at any moment, something would meld out from the walls and take his life away.
He looked down at where the needles had embedded themselves. His whole body seemed to be tingling. Layers of crystal began spreading out from the points of entry where he had been shot by the needles. They spread along his body quickly.
“Aaahhhhh!”
He was scared. Not only did he feel threatened by his surrounding all of a sudden, but he was scared he was going to be swallowed up by his own powers. He struggled to control the crystal that was spreading along his body much like Iris’s frost. He tried to keep his joints from being overtaken.
It was useless. Both his legs were already incased in the crystal and he couldn’t move them. It even started spreading along the ground, and along the cabled that were attached to the needles.
“Please stop! I can’t control it!”
He felt like he couldn’t breathe. He would take in air, but couldn’t exhale, as if he couldn’t get enough air. His vision was slowly blotted out as the crystal began to crawl along his face, and the only part that was not covered was his mouth, which was still gaping, and jagged crystalline bars that looked like teeth seemed to protect this opening.
The mass that as once Nail now looked like a small crystal tower. Spiked forming along its sides and base. They seemed to shoot out in random direction, embedding into all the walls and making large holes that quickly healed over, before receding back into the mound of crystal and shooting out again. Faster and fast the spikes would fly, shooting in all direction sporadically, all the while, nails muffled yells could be heard escaping from the mouth hole in the crystal.

Iris retreated further into her shell. Roars, shatters, clinking sounds; sounds all around her were hurting her ears, adding to the pain of the headache. She tried in vain to shut them out. Although her eyes were closed, her mind’s eye put pictures to the sounds, visions she couldn’t see clearly. People towered over her, gesturing and shouting. Their voices crackled strangely, and she couldn’t make out any words. They all seemed to be wearing white, except for one. That figure was wearing black, and had black hair and silver eyes. He roared at her, as if he was angry. She whimpered, and cringed backward.
To someone looking on from the outside, Iris looked like a scared, lost child; knees pulled up to her chin, arms wrapped around her legs, shaking ever so slightly. ------------ Across the cell, the man had avoided being sick, but he was having coughing fits, hard and bad enough to set his throat and lungs on fire, made worse by years of smoking. Confusion mixed with fear as he saw what was happening around him. He had heard rumors about mutants, all of them bad, but never had seen one up close until that day. Obviously the ones in the cages were no better off than he, but they were still mutants, which meant they were evil. Weren’t they? Most of them looked like normal humans. He began to rethink his conclusion when one of them escaped, and took his fellow human with her. But then they all seemed to go crazy. Between coughing fits he watched and listened to the chaos. He was becoming light-headed and woozy. He had to get out of there.
He looked over and the girl in the corner. Unlike the others, she was sitting still. Her eyes were closed tight, and she looked scared. Sure, her hair was blue, here skin looked almost....frozen. But she wasn’t going crazy. Maybe she could help, like the other one had helped his friend. He struggled to his feet, using one hand to steady himself against the wall, hacking into the other. Shakily he made his way to the girl.
“Hey. Mutant girl Can you...*cough, cough*...get us out...*gasp*...of here?”[/i] Her eyes opened slightly. They looked glazed over, and she didn’t respond to his words. “Girl Wake up ”[/i] He reached out and grabbed her arm, intending to shake her awake. ------------------------ In her mind, Iris heard someone moving toward her. She opened her eyes, but the blurred visions in front of her eyes didn’t clear up or even change. The black-clad figure was moving toward her, and she cowered away. He leaned down, and she swore she saw fangs bared at her. A clawed hand reached toward her. She felt pressure on her arm.
Iris exploded.
“NO!! Leave me alone!! Go AWAY!!!”[/i] She shrieked at the top of her lungs. She pulled her arm back then shot it forward again. The man was thrown across the cell. He slammed into the wall with force enough to knock him unconscious instantly. He slid heavily to the ground, bleeding from a gash in his head. The wound wasn’t fatal, but bled freely like most head wounds do. In a way, grabbing Iris’ arm had saved his life. When he touched her the force of her pull yanked him off-balance, enough so that the spikes of ice that shot out from her body flew over his head, missing only by less than an inch. Instead of hitting him, they hit the cell wall. Fueled by her imagined fear, the spikes easily pierced the walls and slammed into the other cells around her. Some even pierced the other cells, though most simply embedded themselves in the walls.
Iris saw none of it. All she saw, to her relief, was the disappearance of the black-clad figure. She returned to cowering in the corner. Again the ice covered her protectively.[/color]
Syn watched the reactions of all the captives as she brought Jack within the holding area. One guy started making metal and wood things out of nothing it seemed. The girl that Syn had captured actually managed to melt part of her cell and escape with the human. The girl named Iris covered herself in ice, but when the human in her cell tried to get a response Iris slammed him into the wall and made the man bleed from his head. Then there was the guy across from Iris. He turned into a pillar of crystal and started shooting shards all over his cell while he screamed for it to stop. Moving down further there was the dragon man. He started to breath fire when before he wasn’t or couldn’t. He too had a scared look in his eyes. Looking back at the main control panel Syn made sure everything was being recorded for Mr. King should he want to take a look.
Just as Syn turned to look back at the captives Iara came back around the corner and was face to face with Syn and Jack. She let out a hiss like a snake and then sat in front of Jack and asked her if she was Jack. “Yes, my name is Jack,” she answered softly not sure what to make of this new girl. Syn cut in however. “I’m surprised at how well you’re handling your mutation.” Gesturing in the direction of the others. “They don’t seem to be fairing as well however. Tell me, how is it you can contain yourself so well while they cannot? Oh and don’t worry about your human companion. He won’t get out of here.”

He had to control himself, or else he could hurt some one. It seemed when he opened his mouth the flames happened. Closing his mouth slowly the flames stopped coming fourth and he was silent. He seemed to be trying somewhat to control it, although it was extremely difficult. He knew he would not even be able to open his mouth even to speak. And his nostrils where billowing out a sulfer smelling smoke into the air at a rapid rate. It was as if the oxygen he was breathing in, was coming out as a sulfer cloud.
Draikhein was covered his a warm sweet from his efforts to stop the flames, and then he felt it, a sharp pain in his forehead as two horns began to protrude from his head, they began to curl up and around, much like a ram's horns. They were large about six to seven inches thick at the base narrowing out at the end to a sharp point, but as they were curling into a spiral, they would cause no harm to anyone being punctured. But the pain of them growing out of his skin was incredible and he let out a roar of pain that of course was followed by a stream of a blue-ish red flame.

“Yes, my name is Jack,”
Iara smiled and shook Jack's hand with a beautiful smile. The one known as Syn began to talk to her but Iara began to make faces at Jack to make her laugh.
“I’m surprised at how well you’re handling your mutation. They don’t seem to be fairing as well however. Tell me, how is it you can contain yourself so well while they cannot? Oh and don’t worry about your human companion. He won’t get out of here.”
"Change has never been an issure for me, yes the fangs scared me but its whateva. Why should you keep him, he doesn't have powers to morph. And what are you going to do thi the ones who don't meet your standards? Senseless murder is boring and completely unnecessary."
Iara offered Jack the jolly rancher from her pocket and smiled when she took it.

Mettaliar looked around the room with his muscles still pulsating and the random metal and wood crap flying and dropping everywhere. He noticed everyone else was going haywire as well. One girl was in a ice ball, and a dragon was burning everything and going crazy. Mettaliar was apparently the only one that was affected that was in a good amount of touch with reality to sense that this is what they were captured for. That was until his mind suddenly sent him in a time warp.
Immediatly he fell to his knees as he suddenly felt a pain in his scar around his right eye somehow opened, most likely from the immense jerks of the muscles around. He get up to rip a piece of shirt off to cover and heal the new wound, yet he was distracted. He knew it was a hallucination somewhere in his sanity, yet that sanity was long gone. He saw the man standing there... the man that coincidentally gave him that scar.
The anger inside him rose suddenly. He couldn't control it. He made a knife in his hand without really thinking and lunged at the man. With the knife he appeared in his own mind to stab the man, yet, in reality's perspective he really stabbed the electrafied wall. The walls electro-effect worked and he was shot back into the wall behind him. He lay on the ground in extreme pain with blood pouring down his face and his muscles continued to flex and relax more and more violently. Mettaliar was going insane and the uncontrollable pain and confusion was not helping his crippled mind.
