The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Jacquelyn Guy sat on her bed, tossing a rubber ball at the wall in anger. It bounced from the wall, to the floor, and to her hand, repeatedly in her boredom. Night was beginning to fall and she was glad. It was the best part of her day because that meant...no more tests. She'd been having tests on her since before she could remember. Endless, endless tests. Only was it until she was older, did Jacquelyn realize this was not a normal life for a mutant.
Her assistant, Miss Penelope, had been taking care of her forever. She wore a white nurse's outfit like the rest of the other nurses, doctors, and scientists that roamed throughout the facility. However, Penelope was different. Penelope actually treated her like a person instead of an experiment. She was Jacquelyn's only friend. Penelope wasn't allowed to tell Jacquelyn much of anything, but she couldn't help but feel sorry for the young girl. When Jacquelyn turned 13, her assistant began explaining that she had once had parents and all mutants didn't have to undergo experiments like she did. She told Jack, the nickname Penelope gave her, that the reason she first came to the facility was because her parents had fallen deathly ill from her mutation.
Jack cursed her mutation as she tossed the ball with all her might at the wall. The rubber ball bounced and hit the opposite wall that was made entirely of plastic, except for the small intercom where she spoke to people back and forth from. Everyone surveyed her through that stupid wall, leaving her no privacy. She knew why though. Because no one could be around her more than a few minutes before getting sick. Penelope couldn't be in the room much longer than 15 minutes before she became ill like the rest of them.
She lay down in her bed, unable to sleep like always. As she stared up at the ceiling, all she wished for was a chance to be outside. They had given her one window to look out of from the facility, which she spent most of her days sitting at. They were out in a wooded area somewhere, on top of a moutain. Sometimes, she'd rather not have the window at all, seeing it as being some kind of torturous...'look, but can never touch'. Jack turned her head to the window and saw the starry night sky, wondering what it was like to be free.
(OOC: First person to post after this should be Oppressor, followed by his team.)
Dorian and his team arrived at the facility, and disembarked from the trucks.
"Alright. The recon team, which is Kaine and Overcast if I'm not mistaken, are to go and locate any guards outside the complex and report back. The front line needs to be ready to storm the compound and take out any guards spotted by Kaine or Overcast. After te way has been cleared, we the abduction team will soon follow with the back line close behind. Once we have snatched the target, we will meet back here, where a special truck will be waiting for Jack to ride in, while the others return to The Sanctuary the same way they arrived. Clear?"
"Um, Mr. King? You said that this Jack mutant affects other mutants powers right?" She looked his facial expressions over as she could see his slight annoyance with her question. She continued even though she was getting a look. "How do we keep her from affecting our forces while we are trying to get her to the vehicle? I may be the only one who will be safe after I counter her power."
Dorian sighed, he knew that there would be at least ONE additional question.
"Jack will only affect the intensity of the mutant's powers to an uncontrollable level. The risk of their powers causing harm to themselves is extremely negligible. In the rare even that they ARE wounded, we have the capability do restore them to their normal state back at The Sanctuary. The only real concern is that Jack does not get injured herself from other mutant's powers."

Kaz stepped out of the van calmly and quietly. Looking around at the mutants exiting the vans, he listened to Dorian and Syn's quick conversation. He quirked an eyebrow when Dorian answered Syn. Turning his head towards the two, "Well, I guess I'll just stick to cleaning up the trash and stay away from the girl." He looked back towards the facility before he began to check his equipment. A walking armory of blades is what he resembled. The chest of his black jumpsuit criss-crossed with straps that held his swords on his back, another strap to cary the sword on his waist, a bladed whip wrapped just above that strap, knives strapped to his thighs, and boots. After tightening the chest straps and checking the positioning of his knives, he reached for the middle of his back and grabbed two gauntlets, each with two forward curved blades on the back of the hand. As he pulled the second on tightly, he held up his fist, looking past the blades towards the building in the distance a smirk played accross his face, full of malace, a promise of cold, quick death. It quickly faded quickly as he gained a cold, stone-faced expression. <Sarrus, time to play.>

The roar of kaines bike could be heard as he skidded it to the carpark and stepped off helping overcast off shortly after.
Kaine walked with a purpose as he moved towards Dorien thinking of his army days "Dorien sir, Are we shooting to wound or kill and is this a stealth operation or not?"
Kaine looked at the tough concrete outer wall of the facilty and looked up at the four towers one positition at each corner of the facility."Sir im guessing that there are two men teams in each tower at the corner most likely armed with a 50 cal sniper rifle and the other with a sub machine gun most likely an MP5 I believe they should be dispatched first then the spot disactivated sir"
Isabel exited the truck she'd been transported in once it had come to a stop and the doors had been opened, eagerly weaving around some of the slower moving mutants in order to gather with those in the front-line team. Her eyes roamed over the outside of the facility with interest, only half listening to the questions being asked and the answers they were receiving, her gaze falling from one of the four towers to the next, thinking Kaine was correct in assuming there would be snipers stationed in each.
Turning her attention back to the group of mutants gathered outside the facility she gave a small sigh, crossing her arms. She would need to wait for both Kaine and Overcast to scout ahead and report back before her team could move in. She would just have to be patient until it was time to move out, her mind drifting back to the thought of caution over stupidity.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Overcast took Kaine's hand and gracefully got off the motorcycle. She was almost envious, it being a few steps up from her own on the 'sweet bike' scale, but she pushed the thought aside for a later time. She brushed off a bit of dust she had collected on the way, mostly in the carpark. Looking out over the facilities, she could see that things weren't too complicated, mostly the usual security setup, but she would not be able to fully determine that until she was inside. She turned to Kaine.
"Well, I'm ready when you are, Shadow Man, work your magic," she said, stretching out a bit and shaking any nervous energy out of her body.

Kaine took Overcasts and walked towards the wall he looked at her and said "Dont let go the shadow realm isnt a nice place" With that kaine and overcast disolved into the flaw leaving only there shadows where they had stood. They moved forward and through the gate on the other side was a compound before the maine building kaine couted 6 guards each with MP5's and a side arm.
Kaine moved so he was under the nearest guard and whispered to overcast "Hold onto my waist" As she did this kaine reached his arms out of the floor grabbed the mans ankels and pulled him into the shadow realm.
Kaine released the man as he got into the shadow realm and kicked him away sending him spinning of in front of him drawing his pistol kaine fired a single silent shot at his head killing him
Overcast felt a sort of rush, it was a feeling she had not experienced before, this 'shadow world' was new and different, and she liked the feeling it gave her. She watched as they slid through the gate, careful not to let go, she didn't want to get stuck here, that would be no fun, but she wouldn't mind coming back again sometime.
At first she observed, trying to see what she could and couldn't do. Her powers were still able to affect the outside world, a good thing if she was going to use them, she casually flickered a few light bulbs, not wanting to do anything too noticeable yet.
Kaine grabbed a guard and brought him into the shadow world before taking out a gun and shooting him. What a waste of ammunition, Overcast thought to herself.
When Kaine brought the next guy down, she grabbed his gun-hand before he could fire. "Don't bother wasting your bullets," she whispered to him. "I've got plenty of my own without any trouble." With only a little bit of concentration, and a slight adjust for the deference she had in the shadow world, Overcast created a small sphere and cleared it of everything before sending the ball of nothing through the man, leaving a perfect path so that you could see straight through to the other side of his head. She broke the sphere then, and waited to see Kaine's reaction, and for the next victim to come down.

Kaine nodded at her abilty she could be a handy partener he thought making a quick mental map before return to dorian
"Dorian there are six guards we took care off two silently, there lightly armed like the gurads in the towers MP5's and 9mm side arms theres is an outer courtyard a parked jeep could provide cover for a stealth manouvour or if we could open the gates we would be in a prime posistion for a full frontal attack"
"Alright. I expect that there will be more guards inside, and no doubt as we get closer to the target they will become more heavily armed and better equiped. So, the plan is that we take the most direct route there, killing all that get in our way. This way we dont have to mess around trying to be stealthy. I want both the recon and front line teams to lead the way, the rest will follow. We will overwhelm our enemy by exercising maximum force. Everyone understand?"
Everyone in the group gave a silent nod.
"Alright then, Let's move."
At this order, the small mutant army advanced towards the doors of the facility.

Sarrus looked at the gate and sighed at its simplicity. With a short sprint toward it, jumping horizontaly at the last moment, kicking with both legs. Creaks and strain could be heard from the metal from the impact just before it tore off from its connections with the wall. The gate flew forward with tremendous speed, twisting and spining as it hit the ground. Dirt, gravel, and concrete were thrown up from its impact. His momentum completely haulted, as he seemed to hover in the air a few seconds before landing lighty on the tip of one foot.
He began walking forward imediately, yet erraticly. Not forgetting about the guards and their guns, he moved side to side with no pattern so they couldn't get a lock on him. Picking one out from the others, he stood directly in the guard's line of site. He smiled wickedly at the man as a gun was leveled his direction. Sarrus ran at the man as the first shot was fired. No second shot was heard, the guard looked at his gun and nearly screamed in terror when he saw that not only was the gun gone, but so were his forarms. Sarrus tapped him on his shoulder just as he was about to scream. Sarrus smirked as he spun in place, his katana slicing the man's head from his neck.
Two of the guards were fairly close together while a third was a bit a way. It was the third who began firing at Sarrus. He broke into a wide route to the other two, as he neared them, the threw his katana like a lance at the guard who had fired at him, not being able to keep up with his speed. The katana pierced the man's chest, the momentum pulled him to the ground. The sword sticking firmly into the ground as the man slid down the blade, dead.
Sarrus undid the whip on his waist and snapped it forward. It wrapped around the neck of one of the two guards near him. Quickly pulling it back, the blades running along the whip spun slicing into the neck like a saw until it cut down to the bone and severed the man's head. The last of the two stood in silent fear. Her brown eyes wide in shock. Snapping the whip back to him, Sarrus looked at the woman, <She's not too bad looking. Open casket funeral for her.> He smiled at her kindly, giving her a slight nod, as he began to turn away from her. The woman seemed to become filled with relief that she wouldn't die. Just as her knees were about to give out, Sarrus spun around quickly snapping the whip straight at her with a twisting motion. The blade at the end pierced her chest, twisting into her heart, completely ripping it appart. With a second and opposite twist, he pulled the whip back and attached it to his waist again. He watched her fall to the ground stairing at her chest with a gaping hole in it where her heart was, her eyes wide and mouth open. As she lay on the ground her eyes were fixed on the back of Sarrus' head as he walked away from her.
A devilish little grin spread across Isabel's features as the orders were given for the front-line and recon teams to move in. It seemed as if Kaz had already disposed of the remaining guards that had been posted in the courtyard, so there was no real reason to remain on the outside any longer. Besides, Mr. King had ordered a direct assault, had he not?
As Isabel began heading toward the doors of the facility the bones in her right arm began to worm and twist their way out of her skin, entwining their way around her arm to encase it in a rather large spear-like weapon. Stopping in front of the doors she pulled her arm back and rammed the weapon into them, pleased with the groans and squeals of the iron as it protested against her attack. Again she rammed the spear's tip into the doors, managing to wedge it between the two of them, twisting her arms violently to open the gap even wider. One last thrust of her weapon of choice and the doors were knocked fully back.
As the bones twisted their way back into her arm she stepped inside the facility, intruder alerts already sounding throughout the building. It wouldn't be long until they were faced with a large crowd of guards. But that large crowd hadn't arrived just yet, instead just a few stray guards running about to take up posts. Spreading out her fingers she waited only briefly as two sword-like bones protruded from the center of her palms, their bases remaining firmly planted in her hands as she went about cutting down any humans she could reach.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.

Kaine drew up his M4 type rifle as he ran forward following kaz through the gate he watched as the muttant disperesed of the remaining guards trying to put some sensce into the maddness kaine shouted " Kaz breach the door left hand side with isabel , Overcast same as before grab my waist"
Kaine waited for overcast to do so and began a quick jog at a wall which was coated in shadow
