The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Slate had, quite naturally, been tossed out of the tub by the woman's sudden shift. He was not entirely sure how that had occurred, but he trusted in the laws of physics: indeed, being tossed could be nothing less than quite natural. Likewise to being caught in mid-air by one of Frank's large hands. The man shifted him to his other hand, non-committally holding the rabbit by the scruff of its neck. Slate dangled below his fingers without comment. Both of them--bunny and man--stared down at the naked woman without giving any clear reaction to the sight.
It was at that moment that the door slammed open. Charles and Nicholas, now, they had reactions.
"We heard a--oh thank you Lord."
"Shut up, Charles. Is that--?" Nicholas began to ask. Frank held up the rabbit silently. Nicholas looked immediately more entertained. He turned back to the bug woman, with a gentlemanly smile. "Well hello, then. I would advise you to explain yourself, and to do so with a minimum of movement. I would find it an awful shame to hurt you."
"I wouldn't."
"Shut up, Charles," Nicholas said, his pleasant smile remaining constant.
Petunia was stuck… and this was definitely not one of the most comfortable positions she had ever been in. she glanced up at the bunny and the man holding him by the scruff of the neck. Somehow she resisted the urge to yell ‘What are you looking at!’
Her cheeks actually reddened a little and as she was given her instructions to explain herself and not move, she let her skin shift. She was following the orders. So shoot her if she wanted to feel a little more comfortable.
Since she had a lack of cloths, she simply made due with bits of bugs, that soon protruded, then artfully covered her skin. Lunar moth wings spread across her front and pressed against her, making her decent, as smaller decretive butterflies with white and yellow wings curved around little tan, and nearly blackish brown moths till it looked more like she was in a an outfit made for a dancer or ice skater, who happened to have just appeared out of nowhere with her backside suck in a small metal tub….
She crossed her arms as the design of her new cloths traveled down her limbs making her a little more comfortable. Despite being bigger, it was still colder then she liked in this room. They also acted as a way of sopping up the flea bath that was still damp on her skin. Subconsciously she moved enough to try and itch under her arm.
“Me?” she turned her attention to Nicholas. “I need explaining?” her green eyes shifted and she glared at the hare. “I get attacked my a talking hare claiming to be my conscience and I need to do the explaining.”
She pointed a finger, that had been decorated by a clutter of little wings as if she were wearing a ring, at the dangling hare. “I remember you being a lot bigger!”

Charles looked distinctly put off by the bug parts fashion parade. If anything, Nicholas looked more interested. Frank looked like Frank.
> “Me? I need explaining? I get attacked my a talking hare claiming to be my conscience and I need to do the explaining. ...I remember you being a lot bigger!”
Nicholas was still smiling. He tended to do that, especially in situations where normal men wouldn't find it appropriate. "Your points are noted. Now," he spoke through that smile, "please explain yourself."
Meanwhile, the rabbit dangled by the scruff of its neck with neither protest nor comment.
Petunia stubbornly crossed her arms. then her legs letting her wings buzz once. pouting lips turned the other way. "You want more of an explanation how about you ask him."
She chose a little spot on the other side of the room to let her eyes focus on. Rather then looking at the three men or the wrascly wrabbit. "Or perhaps you could be a little more specific. Maybe even polite. I've told you what I know."

> "Or perhaps you could be a little more specific. Maybe even polite. I've told you what I know."
"Hmm," Nicholas hmmed, watching the girl's actions with an eye that easily painted amusement over its unreadablility. "My apologies for our inexcusably rude behavior, Miss...?" He prompted for her name. "I suppose it does not matter, in any case. Are aware of where you are?"
"My apologies for our inexcusably rude behavior, Miss...?"
"You can call me Pi...." he seemed to just cut her off and she glared from the wall to him and her lips poked out slightly in a pout. Either way, even though she was willing to give him a name to call her, she was pretty sure it wasn't traceable back to her own family name. gardener. it was only a name she gave people in passing.
"I suppose it does not matter, in any case. Are aware of where you are?"
"I'm aware of where I was..." remember that part of her traveling had been done inside a rabbit's inner ear and when your the size of a speck, it's hard to make an exact judge of distance. One eye brow raised and she wondered exactly where this was headed. "Why? Worried about security?"
> "I'm aware of where I was... Why? Worried about security?"
Nicholas gave a small chuckle at the very idea. "Not particularly, Miss Pi. Not particularly. Allow me to inform you: you have come, through serendipitous chance," serendipitous rabbit-induced chance, "to the headquarters of the Mutant Resistance. Would you be interested in joining our ranks?" If she wasn't, she might very well be interested in the Mondragon Labs holding cells. The problem with running a secret resistance: you had to deal with what the rabbit dragged in, one way or the other.
Pix's eye brow raised at the new name. A resistance? She knew of a few. The problem is exactly what type of resistance was this? There were rumors on the street of a few. mostly telling of the ones based on raiding the camps. Then there were the resistance against them. Her own kind. you know, Mutty haters who would rather crap on her (Not that the insect side wouldn't enjoy the crap part) then look at her.
She let her leg that was crossed over the other, bounce for a second. The result made the rest of her backside, still suspended in the bowl of icky bath stuff, bounce and wiggle as a counter wait. She felt her skin slide past part of the mettle and felt loose from the tight area, however she didn't move yet.
Her chin inclined up slightly with a head tilt. "Again you assume that I know more then what I do when you speak of a mutant resistance. So I'm stuck here assuming that you're assuming that I know to assume that this mutant resistance is a good thing for me. Assuming the cells would be a bad thing. So in my assumptions I'm assuming that the resistance will be resisting the types of things like those big robots I first assumed where from the movies and since you have not stopped my assumptions yet, I will also assume that you will be working to destroy those camps. If my assumptions are correct, you maw as well assume that I am part of the resistance now."

Nicholas nodded, his smile perennially in place. "Welcome to the Resistance. I would ask if you would like for us to bring you clothing, but seeing that you have managed for yourself," and seeing as she'd snubbed clothing earlier, "I'll refrain. I am afraid you have arrived too late in the game to help capture the Stalker, but if you would like to join in on the main raid upon the Camps, some people might find the addition of another warm body to sufficiently divert enemy fire away from themselves." Smile, smile. "Will you require on-site accommodations, or do you have a safehouse elsewhere?"
Petunia's chin dipped in a half nod and her smile spread. She shrugged at the comment of her clothing. Exactly how long had they known she was there? Meh, she could look into that later.
"I'll refrain. I am afraid you have arrived too late in the game to help capture the Stalker,
She could play with one by her self later. Just not destroy it. You'd be surprised how much they ignored bugs.
but if you would like to join in on the main raid upon the Camps, some people might find the addition of another warm body to sufficiently divert enemy fire away from themselves."
"You you're asking me to be a moving target for some robot while others are screaming and men in uniforms are trying to kill us as well. Meanwhile all Hell breaks loose... Alright."
She straightened her back and pushed herself out of the tub so that she landed, with a light buzz of her wings, on her feet. then strolled over the the guy with the bunny. The cause of all of the chaos, resisting the sudden urge to start poking him. well them both. They had a similar expression on their faces and that was suddenly drawing Petunia's attention. Kin of like those serious guards everyone want so disturb in England..
"Will you require on-site accommodations, or do you have a safehouse elsewhere?"
"Yeah, probably could use a safe house for a while." She said dismissively as she bent close to the rabbit looking at his eyes now.
"Can I have him as a pet? I've already got a name for him."

Frank and Slate gave similar reactions to the young woman's approach: none. Nicholas watched her move, somewhat disappointed to see that she'd taken the liberty of covering her behind as well as her front. Then again, where was the sport in a woman who came fully unwrapped?
"You may choose any of the vacant rooms in the guest block. Another guard can easily show you there." Nicholas nodded his head to Charles, who moved to open the room's door. It swung open into the hall. "As to the rabbit: no, you may not." It was a very final answer. Smile.
Alright the other guard taking her ot a roomwas a good thing. She could bring over what ever else she needed later, once she knew what she would need. Her appartment could go vacant for a while and this building would be much more secure. Thedoor was opened but Pix stood where she was for a moment.
"As to the rabbit: no, you may not."
Her head swiviled back in his dirrection with a puzzled look on her face. "Huhhh? Rabbit?" Her head tilted. "Oh... Right Pet. I guess the bunny would be a nice pet to say no to but I don't want him." Dead, tortured, or over for a spot of tea, yes, but not a pet. "I was talking about him." She pointed to Frank."

Their business here was done. Frank simply turned and left the room, with Slate still dangling in an unconcerned manner from his hand.
Nicholas didn't bother to reply, but Charles gave an amused snort. Ah, Frank. Yes. Frank... was not entirely housebroken. Neither were Nicholas and Charles, for that matter. That's why they were on Calley-duty, not standard guard duty.
"If you'll excuse us, I'm afraid I must file a report on your arrival." Before Kaz threw yet another irrational order tantrum, that was.
Apparently that was a no as well, even though no one had answered her. Oh well plenty of fish in the sea. Yummy Yummy fish.
"Of course. Petunia said as she nodded her head." She began walking out, the way indicated before. Off to find her room and what ever treasures it had or lacked. Next move would be to rinse the flea bath off of her skin before it irritated those unspeakable areas more. Then off to retrieve her cloths and Buggy.
