>>“Why, you thirsty?... Keep those busy as long as I can. I’ll be right back!”
"Suuure..." Gawain growled in unison with the pack that did not miss the movement of Jorge bolting, hopefully towards water and not the jaws of the alpha, the young knight did not look back to check. "I'll just entertain a whole pack of direwhooooaaaaah! Hey!"
Gawain tensed up and the bow rose, the arrow leaving the string half a second later with a whirring sound. One of the wolves yelped and rolled in the snow, leaving red marks on white, with an arrow in its haunch. The others hesitated for a moment, which allowed Gawain to notch a new arrow and draw.
"Bad dog. Sit." he muttered, eyeing the pack, trying to guess which one would pounce next "Oh, you have not been domesticated yet. My bad."

>> "Suuure...I'll just entertain a whole pack of direwhooooaaaaah! Hey!"
Jorge scarcely heard the young X-Man as he bolted into a run. The large, white albino wolf was simply not having him move so fast. But the detective knew that if he had kept his pace slow, he never would have made it to that water. The creature was programed to stop him and it was going to do so no matter what. So, whether he was fast or slow, it didn’t matter. One way or another, it was going to attempt to maul him.
Might as well at least get that attempt over with.
>> "Bad dog. Sit. Oh, you have not been domesticated yet. My bad."
The voice was lost to the breeze to the point that he didn’t really hear anything that Gawain had said. Instead he was focused so intently on his own task at hand. He needed to get to that source of water since it was really going to be his only weapon in this frigid environment.
The wolf was mad, though. It eyed him as if he were nothing but a bloody steak so Jorge did his best to focus on that sense of water ahead of him. If he could get just close enough to it in order to grab ahold of some, then he knew that he would be fine. But he needed to get there first.
Growl erupted and the alpha was barreling directly for him. Jorge’s lungs burned as he tried to force himself to keep moving, despite the sluggish feeling that wanted to creep in with the cold. But he didn’t allow himself to stop. Instead he ran on, charging forward and kept his eyes focused on what was ahead. Sadly, though he would already see the wolf gaining speed on him. There was no way that Jorge was going to make it. Not without a distraction.
He ran. The wolf closed in. Jorge looked him dead in the eye and waited, praying and hoping that this was really going to work. It was not until he saw the wolf make a flying leap towards him, did the detective skid to a halt. He gasped as suddenly he took on his boxing stance, curled his fingers into tight fists and waited until he was damn sure that he was not going to miss.
Fangs, saliva, a gapping mouth, that was all Jorge saw as he shout and lashed out with his own punching first…straight into the nose of the beast. The creature yelped and skidded away, gasping and pawing at its own nose in pain. Jorge cringed and shook his hand, trying to shake off the numbness from striking something that hard in such a hard manner.
But, the wolf was effectively distracted as it growled and paused at its now bruise nose. Jorge grinned as he ran, reaching his hands out…and seizing control of the water…
