Almost with her noticing it, they were in that day of the month again. As always, she looked in protest at the date on the calendar with surprise, as if someone had moved it to the day she hated. But no one had changed the order of the universe, the days just had passed and now she could not buy more clothes. Of course this was not due to her money, nor because her father had forbidden her to buy, but simple because the most important and exclusive shops of New York had nothing new to offer. She had bought everything. Her only option to get new clothes was to wait, or leave the country. Unfortunately thanks to her social life and all the extra curricular classes, she had not a single second to expend on leaving the country. Sometimes she could convince her mother, that was in Europe, to shop for her, but there always was a minimum time she had to wait until the package arrived. She always ended up waiting, even when she hated it.
And so it would had been that month too, if the beautiful queen had not found that little shopping oasis. They were not in one of the most luxurious part of the city, not int a place with unique shops for people like her, but still, there was a certain charm in those few blocks that made up the "commercial" street. Small stores, for common people. That only made her feel even more important and richer. Besides, they do not only have clothes in that area, there were a lot of different places, so small that each was attended by a single person and would probably in many cases also be the owner of the locals. Although there were a few couples walking and shopping, there was not a lot of people around, maybe because of the heat, which strangely had risen enough for the girl to use her best sundress, and her favorite sandals.
Fortunately the limousine followed them closely, always at sight in case Celeste needed a refreshing drink of water or any other drinks from the minibar. At that time the beautiful young woman was enjoying a drink. Bling H20. While her bodyguard Peter, thirsty, drank from a soda much cheaper than her water. And while the liquid was almost frozen, it was not enough for the big man that was sweating profusely under his heavy black suit.
She was so distracted in the complicated task of looking beautiful despite the infernal heat, that she did not notice the man who ran in her direction until it was too late. The impact made both of them fall. She forceful sat on the floor, a little sore, highly disgusted, while the man bounced, retreating a few steps in the direction from which he came. The tall man with long legs did not apologize and began to run again. Well, he ran until Peter got in his way, nor his speed or his height helped the stranger. The man bounced back when he crashed into the man in suit. The strange attempted to flank him with a quick movement of legs, but he was brutally arrested by Peter´s long arms. In his muscular arms, the skinny boy looked like a lifeless rag doll. Totally helpless, his long legs were floating without touching the ground. Just at the moment Celeste stood up, his second bodyguard who was in the limousine, arrived to the scene to relieve his partner in the easy task of restricting the bad guy to the floor. Face down. Hands behind his back. Max on him. "You better apologize or he will break your hand." That was all she said to that horrible imitation of a man.
