The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Darcy opened up the mansion doors and stepped outside. Now that she was unpacked in her new room she was ready for....well, something to happen. It seemed that she was so focused on getting here that she didn't really know what to do once she was here. She sat down on the step next to a rose bush and stared into the distance. There seemed to be a few other mutants outside today but she focused her attention on the strange guy with the pink hat practising his footie skills in the middle of the lawn. She smiled remembering back to her old friends in Ireland and how they used to show off their tricks to each other and doing Beckham style shots. They would never wear a hat like that though she thought with a grin.
She turned her attention to the rose bush next to her, suddenly feeling a little lonely. She prodded the bud of a rose and it turned brown. She turned back just in time to dodge out of the way of the projectile that seemed to be aimed at her head. She looked back as it bounced against the wall of the mansion, only to see it was the boys football. She looked crossly at the boy and shouted, "What te hell do ya call that?"
It was warm, a lovely day, Cafas was out enjoying it with a football he had 'acquired' from certain 'class clowns' when they decided their doors were 'securely locked'. Now it was his ball, though he would likely return it. He tried juggling with it, but couldn't get much past twenty, before he began just dribbling it up and down the lawn dodging imaginary defense, before he let rip with a perfect kick...
Uh
So long as perfect has started meaning completely the wrong direction, to the point where it would have been a throw in not a keeper kick. He watched in dismay as it hurtled towards a face he had never seen before. The ... Girl? Dodged out of the way just in time. When she turned her face to him his suspicion was confirmed.
"What te hell do ya call that?"
Damn was that ever an Irish accent! He was so used to the New York accents and his own that he nearly did a double take. He jogged over to where the girl was sitting, because that was the social convention upon nearly causing decapitation by black and white ball. "Oy I'm sorry mate, not much of a football player, got a bit caught up in the moment and accidentally sent this one out back of whoop whoop."
Afraid of losing your identity much? Gotta fall into the Aussie slang again?
He scratched the back of his head awkwardly through his hat (which was making him unreasonably hot, but he refused to take it off) and offered an apologetic look, complete with eyes flashing a lovely shade of hazel. "I haven't seen you around before though, I'm Cafas, hope ya' don't hold that one against me."
Darcy looked at him curiously, trying to decifer his accent, before softening. She smiled. "I'm Darcy, and you're right, you're not much of a football player." She stood up, holding the ball, and grinned. There was something odd about him, something that people probably thought about her back in Ireland. "You wanna lose to a girl?" she said raising her eyebrows at him.
A challenger appears! Complete with semi disguised trash talk! Well, playing alone was kinda boring, more boring than playing with another person. Well then perhaps he would take her up on her offer. It wasn't like he was doing anything else with his time. He looked out onto the grassy area, already starting to be taken over by a few kids. "Alright, you're on."
Losing to a girl in public, hooray!
Sarcasm aside, Cafas was already warmed up and ready to go. He punched the ball from underneath, caught it in the air, dropped it, and made for the grass at high speed. "Oh and he's away!" A bit of self commentary never hurt, it was almost required. Once he made the grass he turned to see where she was, controlling the ball as best he could running backwards.
Not gonna be this easy is it? Nah i doubt it a lot.
Darcy laughed in surprise as he flicked the ball away from her and ran down the field she chased after him. The air was mild and the sky was clear, a remarkable difference from Dublin.
She flew in next to him in a not so graceful silding tackle. Her jeans were already scuffed and stained at the knees. " boom, that's gotta hurt!" she said in her best faux-american commentator voice. She got to her feet and chased after the ball as it travelled away from the both of them.
Cafas saw her coming, but, as with most who are not terribly skilled at a particular sport, could do nothing about it. Not that he didn't try. He tried so hard that it wasn't so much the ball that she hit but his foot.
Oh S***.
He hit the ground with a thump and a short slide. After a brief moment to ensure everything still felt like it was in a working order he pushed to his feet. The ball was rolling calmly away from them, though this Darcy girl was already after it by the time he had his footing.
Damn, she's better than me...
Cafas took off after her, though he didn't see any possible way to get the ball first, her head start was simply too large. Instead he ducked around her as she reached the ball, turned, and made with the blocking. "So Darcy, you sound like you're in the same situation I was a few years ago, a long way from home, what brings you here?"
Darcy smiled as she reached the ball. She tried to dribble it away from Cafas, who was blocking her path. "well, me power was causing a few problems at home so me brudder asked me if I wanted to stay with him, in New York." she tried flicking the ball over him, but it failed and bounced of his chest, giving him the advantage,"bug**r, anyway, he started to feel affected so he kind of kicked me out. Hence I'm here. What's your story? It was hard to talk and play at the same time.
