The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

This is what Emerald truly wanted, Rebecca was using her own style in addition to the one that Emerald had taught her and that was one of the biggest points of the lesson. Also it made the werewolf beam in pride, even as she dodged the blows.
Emerald quickly back stepped out of of the way of the blows, moving quickly and swiftly. Her moves to dodge were the same as usual, flowing and surprisingly graceful, despite the raw and harsh way she fought at times. Once that peace of metal came hurtling towards her legs the werewolf smiled, leaping over it and jumping towards her attacker with an an elated grin on her face. Oh, she was enjoying this far too much, that much could be told by the wolf girl's smile.
"Good job, you learned your first lesson, fight in the way that's most comfortable for you and your body. Now, all ya gotta do is customize my style more, maybe hybridizing it with things you feel comfortable with and you will be a top notch fighter, with training of course." Emerald told Rebecca, beaming at her still, clearly the Alpha was proud of her student.
It had been a while since anyone had let her teach them how to fight, so this was a wonderful experience for her. That and as much as she didn't notice, she was a pretty damn good teacher.
"Now, you gotta find your way of cooling off, I would suggest swimming in the pool. It also helps you learn to regulate your breathing a little so it teaches and relaxes ya at the same time, If we had a beach I would suggest surfing, but that might need to be a lesson I teach you another day." Emerald chuckled, patting Rebecca lightly on the sholder.

Rebecca's attack was clever, but so was Emerald, who was able to jump and avoid the incoming metal. The student followed suit, jumping aside and pushing the metal in the opposite direction.
It appeared that the training was over, and Emerald commended her, encouraging her to develop her own style of fighting. "If we keep training, Ah'm sure Ah'll figure it oot." She raised her metal weapon from the ground and floated it back into the shed. "An' Ah'd like tae keep training wi' ye."
Rebecca brushed away the sweat from her brow with the back of her hand. The soothing water sounded like a great idea; once some time passed, her limbs and core were going to be incredibly sore. "Ah'll grab mah things and head tae the pool then."
Before she turned to leave, a thought occurred to Rebecca regarding Emerald's sister and her talents. "Hey, um, yer sister... can she work wi' metal? Coz if she were up tae it, Ah might hae a favor tae ask."
The Alpha wolf was completely alright with teaching the metal manipulator on how to fight. It was fun for her and it helped her learn how to fight metal manipulators if the time ever came. Not only that, but Emerald would like to think that she was a good teacher for fighting, if not for anything else. While she wasn't the most touchy feely person in the world, she was good at giving advice on practical things, like beating your opponent to a pulp.
"It shouldn't be that hard to design your own style, just go with what feel is right, deep in yer gut." Emerald used her fist to lightly pound on her gut, to emphasis it. The best way to fight, was to be able to feel the most comfortable while you fought.
Emerald turned around, ready to head back to her own training, intending on being a lot harder on herself than she was Rebecca, when the younger girl asked her a question. The wolf girl had to think about this one, because while she knew Ruby was good at metalworking, she didn't know if Ruby would ever want to make anyone else something. It was more of a hobby for the young fox girl than anything else, since her real passion involved robots. Then again, the little girl was always more tha willing to help others.
"I think she would be up to it, you would just have to write down all ya need. " Emerald replied, turning back around to face Rebecca. "She can't make a whole suit of armor or anything but i have seen her make chassis of robots and stuff."

It was not like Rebecca was looking for the girl to be an armorsmith, but maybe chassis of robots meant a crude breastplate would be something manageable? "Okay. See, my goal is tae be able tae lift maself using magnetism, an' tae dae tha, it might be easier if more o' my body was bound in metal."
The girl did not want to keep Emerald from her training, so she kept the request quick. "Ah'm jist looking for something like a breastplate. Ah'll leave ye tae yer training, bit if ye coulds talk tae yer sister-- Ah'd even be happy tae have her measure me fer it."
She waved goodbye to her new friend. "Jist let me know! Anyway, Ah'll see ye next training sesh!" Rebecca turned, starting to feel the pain and soreness of her arms and legs. The pool was going to feel like heaven...
