The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Yea I know what you mean. I have to actually take the current from the appliance or whatever it may be that is producing the electricity and form a sort of energy in my hand which creates a ball...like I showed you before. If I take enough power, I can transfer the current through my eyes like a beam of light." *they reached the door of the starbucks and tricity opened the door for loriauna, continuing with her introduction.* "I can manipulate electronic things to function how I want too. It's great not needing the remote if it's lost somewhere under the couch, ya know? Having a few dozen kids in the house makes losing the remote for the TV a daily event. Usually a fight or two breaks out." *she said smiling and ordering a caramel machiatto. tricity pointed to the table by the window.* "I'm gonna go sit over there so we can chat." *tricity told her as loriauna was about to order.*

Loriauna looked at the menu for a moment. Hm…what to get…looking back at the smiling zit-faced teen, she grinned and ordered a venti strawberry frappuccino and a cinnamon roll.
“Is that all?” The girl kept on smiling…cheery girl.
Loriauna made a quick glance at the girl’s nametag, then answered with a grin and handing over a credit card. “Yes, Mindy, that’s all. Thanks.”
The girl nodded in reply, printed off a receipt, and smiled. As Loriauna signed it, she felt a faint twinge of guilt. The credit card was yet another fake one…one that was actually programmed to someone else’s bank account. A “hack card” as she called them, it was basically stealing. But Loriauna had no other source of income, for she couldn’t get a job. It was nearly impossible in New York to get one…like getting a taxi on your first try or getting your own seat on the subway.
As Loriauna handed the receipt back and Mindy handed over the card, they exchanged smiles again. Heading over to Tricity, she kept smiling. “Happy employees at Starbucks, eh? Like McDonalds with grease-free food.” Pocketing the card, she leaned back in her chair and glanced out the window.
*tricity laughed.* "Yea, that sounds about right." *suddenly she heard her cell phone ringing in her purse. tricity took it out and read on the screen that the docprof was calling her. she looked back over to loriauna.* "I'm sorry, give me a minute?" *tricity answered the phone, listening as the docprof was screaming his head off about a fight. all she really could make out was cassiel and dragon as there was some shouting in the background.* "I'm sorry, I have to get back to the mansion. Would you like to come?"

Loriauna raised an eyebrow. "Is this going to be one of those things where it starts with 'just drop by' and turns into 'stay for life or we will kill you?'" The Starbucks employee, this time a lanky boy with a loud voice that cracked, yelled out the names of the ready-to-pick-up food. Loriauan stood, got her drink and cinnamon roll, and then turned to Tricity. "'Cause I already told you, I'm not interested in teams or agencies or anything like that." She headed over and looked straight into Tricity's face. "I am a loner, got it?"
"It's nothing like that. We aren't looking for recruitments. Just thought you might want to see some other mutants and well, I'd like to get to know you better. But right now, there seems to be a crisis happening at my school and I need to get back. So??" *tricity asked, standing up and waiting for her answer.*
*her phone ran again and she quickly answered it. it was the docprof again and he was trying to explain something about a fireball.* "Loriauna, here's my addy." *tricity quickly wrote the address of the mansion down on a napkin.* "If you would like, come visit." *she hurried out of the cafe and to her car.*

Loriauna looked at the address that Tricity had called her "addy" and shook her head. For some odd reason, she actually felt like going. Who knew, maybe they had some sort of lab she could mess with or security system she could examine...the idea of taking apart any electronic brought a bit of joy into Loriauna's heart. Technology...beautiful.
