The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Shiloh." A middle name. Because he was not going to get her first name.
>>"Ah hae nowhere else tae go..."
Sewer King smirked. He could think of a few places that were worth staying. "Well, our home is your home," he stated cheerfully. "As long as you abide by our rules."
The twins nodded grimly with the best cheerful smiles they could muster, which ultimately made the two actions contradict each other and resulted in a failure to make an impression on Amelia as to either side of the agreement. She did not ask what happened to the people who broke rules. For some reason, she felt it might involve giant sewer gators and food.
"Avalon," he clapped. "Do you think you could show these two to my room? Oh. I mean their room!" He laughed to himself. Good one, boss. And rules were rules.
That did it. The twins didn't see anything but the blur of distorted air as the fist flew at their leader's chest and knocked him from the throne. He landed in a puddle of something with a splash. Amelia did not adopt a fighting posture. Her head was still bowed.
"What the hell was that?!" Sewer King demanded.
Their friend, the guy who'd escorted them down into the tunnel, was stunned. He started to apologize, but Amelia stopped him by locking her eyes on the puddle of scum. "Disrespect." She stated. "I was going to play it cool, but I realized we really don't have time to Batman this up and infiltrate your Undercity society. Let these kids go."
Sewer King's face was a red hot mask of fury. "No."

Ami called herself Shiloh, (interesting choice considering the only Shiloh Rebecca knew was a dog in a book,) and the "King" seemed to accept them. It was pretty apparent what his intent was in letting them into his fold, and the thought made Rebecca's skin crawl.
While the man was working on Rebecca's last nerve, he apparently severed Ami's, because the King was mysteriously launched from his seat by a force Rebecca now recognized. It was a pretty good signal, if Rebecca was looking for one.
Ami gave the Sewer King one last chance to play nice, but he denied it, so there was no point in delaying, Rebecca possessed the area around the nearby crowbar she found and sent it spinning toward the monarch. The area was like a gold mine for her, (or more appropriately a steel mill,) with bits of pipe and old screws and bolts just laying around. She located as many stray pieces of metal and started lifting them into the air and spinning them around the room like a small storm of steel. "Well, just remember she asked nicely," Rebecca noted, looking up from her bowed position.
One of the twins split into two. The other one... did not. His power wasn't crazy like that. He simply ran at Amelia with his fist.
Amelia met him with a kick.
Meanwhile, the two twins of a twin had surrounded Rebecca, one on either side.
Sewer King got to his feet.
The few others in his 'Courtroom' did not move to help. He had this, they knew. And as he adjusted his crown, they wondered if maybe they'd survive after seeing his power. Because so often, dying shortly after was kind of the thing.

Amelia was taking care of herself, and that was good, because Rebecca had to deal with a replicating man, which left her outnumbered two-to-one.
Rebecca focused on her breathing, trying to avoid breathing erratically and growing anxious. She could still sense her collection of metal marbles, and the copies knew nothing of those yet.
One of the men took the first steps toward Rebecca, getting low to try tackling her. Rebecca called the pipe back, and managed to aim it close enough to his ankle, causing him to wobble forward. She jumped out of the way and the man fell where she was.
The marbles flew out of their bag immediately because the standing man was not going to give her a reprieve. The marbles assaulted him like an angry swarm, pelting him in the face. Aggravated, he threw a punch, but even Rebecca could dodge it while his aim was obscured by marbles repeatedly colliding with his face.
Rebecca found whatever metal she could detect in the room; she knew she would need it.
Messy. All too messy. From a strategic standpoint, there could have been so many better ways to handle the situation. But it was too late, and people were fighting. The best one could do was handle it in their own little way.
The ghost hands had vanished in the scuffle. It didn't take much effort to bring them up again, one on either side. They hung in the air, palms up, fingers moving like each was ready to summon a little fireball. But ultimately, it only looking like hot air.
Nobody quite knew what her powers could do. She was in the same situation as the King.
While Rebecca and his minions fought, King addressed the obvious leader. Shove-girl.
"Shiloh, Shiloh," his eyes were slits as he shook his head and tried to play it off in a cocky laugh. "What are you hoping to accomplish here? You're outnumbered."
"And you're a jerk." Amelia spat.
"Touché?"
"You heard my order. It wasn't an offer. Stop forcing these kids to follow your orders, or we'll have to take you in."
He raised his hands in the jive for 'chillax'. Also known as 'keep cool.' "They're working for me because they want to, lady. And also," He interrupted his sentence in one swift movement, hands racing to the paper crown on his head. Then, the crown got flung. It impacted on the sewer wall in a whirling wheel of Burger King colors, grinding into it amid the drifting of rock and dust. It was like a belt sander of paper. He smiled. His intent had been to miss. As the wheel ground into the wall, he addressed her. "I'd hate to have to hurt a pretty little thing like you more than I have to."
Amelia snerked. "I wouldn't mind hurting you." And with that, she forced the hands straight at him with a thrust from both her arms. They flew at his chest. Before he had a chance to withdraw his paper wheel, she hit him. His motion carried him right back. Right back, into the wall. He hit his head with a smack. The whirling paper wheel stopped and dropped as the Sewer King lost consciousness.
That actually worked? Well, okay. She turned to the rest of them, dismissing her hands. "I just one-shotted your boss."
The twins stopped fighting. Because, really, what else was there to do or say? "Cool," one offered as the other's shoulders slumped. Well, she supposed, 'cool' had been a pretty good dialogue option.

Rebecca had taken a clear upper hand in her fight, reclaiming her metal pipe. Replication was a good mutation, but it did not prepare someone for a strong strike from a pipe. Past that, Rebecca was being rather liberal with the pipe. Her kind nature kept her from any blows to the head, but it was willing to allow for shots to the stomach, shoulders and elbows.
Rebecca turned at the sound of Ami's voice, noticing the Sewer King down and done. The twins, despite their injuries, seemed ready to cut their losses now that they were bossless. "No harm, no foul?" One of them muttered to her, walking away with a cringe.
Rebecca stood there quietly for a moment. "Kinda anticlimactic, huh?" Rebecca found a nearby section of mangled chain-link fencing and in moments, it was wrapped tightly around the King's body and arms.
"Sae..." She looked at her new friend, wondering what to do next. "Call th' cops and take off?"
She took another look at the Sewer King, and barely conscious of what she was doing, she tossed the pipe in his direction, where it thwacked his already unconscious forehead. Rebecca shrugged; he was a jerk, and definitely deserved at least one more lump to sport.
Amelia crossed her against her chest as she pursed her lips thoughtfully. If they left him here and called the cops, that would be lame. It'd make them look like vigilantes (which they were), but they'd keep out of the out of the eye of the police. If they did call the police, though, it'd make the X-men look good. And if they were working as Junior X-men, that gave them a good image. Plus, they'd already told the one guy...
"Dunno," she said, looking to the girl for her thoughts on the matter. "What do you think? I don't mind being here when the police are around. They'll have questions, but it won't be any trouble answering them. Either way, we'll probably want to drag this guy and his accomplices out of the sewers. I'd hate to ask the police to slog through this maze of filth."

Ami was right; it would be rude to get force the police to trudge through the sewer they had enjoyed their trip through, especially if they had to take the trip up anyway. "Ah guess you have a point. How will we carry-- oh right."
Rebecca focused on the fence the Sewer King now inhabited. She wanted to lift him off the ground, but at first she was worried; she was still struggling with the amount of weight to lift her own body. Thankfully, while her problem was finding a way to put metal in the right spots to spread her weight well, the Sewer King's weight was spread around a fence. She lifted, and his body came about a foot off the ground. "Yeah, this'll be fine, if Ah jist have tae drag him through th' water some of th' time."
Rebecca turned to look at the rest of the collective. "Any of ye feel like trying not tae come wi' us?" Based on the show of commitment moments earlier, she doubted any of them thought they had a chance against Ami and Rebecca, and most of them would probably get a slap on the wrist for speaking against their deposed king.
First one, then another, surprised them both by stepping forward. Each person took hold of a length of the fence that was supporting their former 'master'. Up, they lifted it. The slimy guy from earlier smirked at Rebecca from the head of the carrying train. "Don't want you to tire yourself out, babe." He said.
How sweet, Amelia thought. Even in being helpful, he could be a sleeze.
"Thanks," she assented, without passion to the words. She looked to the redhead. "Shall we?"
Together, they left the sewer depths, destination the surface.
