A light rain fell from the heavens, only adding to the chill of Warren’s flesh as made his way from Dyckman Station. It was another January day in New York according to the weather man this morning. Warren hoped that the whole winter wasn ‘t like this.
‘Who names these places?’ He thought to himself as he made his down Dyckman Street, griping about weather and the fact he had to walk. (Running +rain –traction= OUCH). He had no true purpose for being in this area, he was bored. And in being so had selected train hopping as he activity for time being. He had heard of a school up this way and decided preying on frightened school kids would turn out to be quite profitable. Assuming they had valuables’ Yep, just another day at the office...’ he thought as he passed Seamen Ave.
“You got to be kidding me.” Shrugging it off, he made his way down the street, keeping, an eye out for potential prospects.

The arrow came out of nowhere, missing the guy by a few inches and skidding across the pavement until it hit a nearby wall. It came from the direction of the gates of the huge Mansion nearby, and was followed by a girl with short, dark hair and archery gear, moderately soaked in the rain, looking a little bit alarmed and probably praying that she did not just kill an innocent bystander.
Maya had been practicing out in the rain; her latest bow was supposed to be water-proof, but she needed to put that to the test before she actually took the weapon out onto a mission. Better safe than sorry. It was not too comfortable, shooting arrows in the rain, but the bow was holding up well, and she managed to hit the target every single time. Except for one.
In retrospect, it was probably not a good idea to shoot arrows towards the Mansion gates...
