The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Lunch with a Werewolf -- Not Lon Chaney! (Emerald)
Emerald thoughts turned inward as they drove back to the comic store, her grip tightening onto Akshays stomach. The guy was nice, funny and was honestly something she really wanted in a guy. He didn’t scare her and she didn’t feel nervous around him at least not in the way she was used to.
Even with all of her senses and abilities, she couldn’t find one thing wrong with him yet. Emerald had yet to intake his scent in so she didn’t know if he was a mutant or not but quite honestly, she didn’t care.
It had been a while since she had wanted something so much and she really wanted this relationship to work. So many things had gone wrong, it would be nice for just one thing to go right, just this once. Even if he wasn’t her idea of a protector or anything like that, he was one of the more gentle young men she had met in her life. Not always looking for a fight, not preaching about mutant or human rights, he was just himself and nothing more.
He was also so darn…honest with her that she still couldn’t quite get over it. He just didn’t seem like he was a guy that had anything to hide and was quite extroverted in her opinion as opposed to her introverted mistrust in people. He could be a good hero or vigilante if he really wanted to, but Emerald had this feeling he was just fine in the place he was in, making young wolf girls feel good and forget about their pasts for just a little while.
Her past, a subject she hadn’t fully brought up with him and something she wasn’t planning on bringing up for a while. Telling him anything about that would surely scare the poor fellow off. Not only that but she would just like to move on with things, even if her mind didn’t always let her.
Johnny was an overprotective extremist who used her to get his way, Michael was a sweetheart that didn’t know where he was going and couldn’t settle down yet and Ilari was a thief with good intentions but wasn’t good at keeping commitments. All of these men had one thing in common and one thing only, none of them were Akshay and this was something that Emerald couldn’t be more than happier about.
As the bike slowed to a stop the she-wolf stepped off of it, removing her own helmet so she would be able to talk to her date without sounding muffled. He said his quick piece and gave her the flower he had given her earlier.
Gingerly, she took it in rough hands, worn by working out and old scars. The wolf girl paused for a moment, taking a deep breath as all those old anxieties kicked in for a brief moment.
“He’s going to hurt you, don’t trust him, if you don’t trust you won’t get hurt.Leave now, you won’t have to trust, those you trust hurt you.”
Emerald snapped herself out of her brief trance only to hear a song being played on the radio from the shop nearby, one that was notorious for having loud music.
So baby talk to me Like lovers do Walk with me Like lovers do Talk to me Like lovers do
As the chorus played the Alpha did something she didn’t think she would do on this date. She walked up to Akshay, wrapped her arms around him and kissed him surprisingly gently, only the lips, arms wrapped around him. Her tail wagged, her heart beat fast, her mind yelled at her to stop or she would be betrayed again and she just kissed him anyways. After a while she broke from the kiss, pulling a card out of her pocket with her phone number in it, stuffing the car not so subtly into Akshay’s back pocket.
“Thanks for being one of the best dates I have ever had Akshay, call me alright?” The wolf girl told him, though there was an underlying tone of “you better call me.” In her voice that could not be mistaken.
With that kiss though she saddled up her own motorcycle and left a no doubt perplexed boy at the comic book store, happily humming the tune to herself as she rode back to the mansion on cloud nine.

Akshay had been nervous because he was no sure how he should really go about and ask for her number. Despite the fact that they obviously had a great time out, he still had a little nagging fear that maybe he was just plain wrong and that Emerald would not want to see him again. That was probably just his self-consciousness talking again, but it was a hard voice to ignore. Akshay had to struggle hard to get through to himself that sometimes things COULD go right for him.
Maybe that was why he beat around the bush with wanting to say goodnight. The evening had gone so perfectly, but if she never wanted to see him again then he wanted to hold onto this memory forever. After all, his friends, no doubt, will probably never believe him that he went out with a bombshell like Emerald.
But as the young wordsmith had waited for Emerald to speak, in order to gauge her reaction to this evening, he was suddenly silenced.
The young redhead leaned over, wrapped her arms around him and pressed her lips against his. For a second, all Akshay saw was blackness and felt nothing but complete and utter shock race throughout his system. For a few seconds there, Akshay had really no idea what was happening. But once he figured it out, he could do the only natural thing…he had to kiss her back. Hands on her waist, he returned the gentle kisses and felt the rest of the world absolutely melt away. By the time it was, regretfully, over, he blinked a couple times in a daze as he smirked a little dreamily at Emerald.

The tone of her voice said it, all. Call her. He could too but how was he—he squeaked a little when he felt her hand slip into his back pocket to deposit the contact card. He nervously chuckled and nodded. Quickly he fished into his pocket for the card as he watched Emerald climb onto her bike, replace her helmet, and ride off into the night. He waved as she went and glanced at the card…
“Wooow…” he said in shock. It ACTUALLY had her phone number on it! WITH all the numbers!! Akshay, needless to say, was ecstatic. Grinning from ear to ear the rest of the night the young wordsmith ran off to finish closing shop and then head home for the night. The sooner her got to bed, the sooner he woke up, and the sooner he could convince himself that this whole night actually happened…
