The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kill Ghost? He had heard that one before, but with how much Kait knew about everything else surely she had some insight into what really happened that night n the apartment.
"You saw it? What did he do exactly? Zat could help us find her." Instead of bumming him out, that little tidbit actually gave him hope and something better to think about than the possible lie that his childhood had been built around.

The little spy hated to admit it, but she hadn't been able to watch Sebastian that closely.
"I didn't see him try to kill her, but... I saw him walk in, and I saw the cops come drag him out. He had a lotta blood on his hands. And when they left, I saw all the blood in the bathroom... there wasn't a body, though. Ghost has a power that coulda helped her escape, right?"
She hoped so. She thought so. The name "Ghost" had to mean something about her mutation, other than the part where she's all white as glue and kinda see-through.
...You've heard stories about me? Don't listen to them! It's safe to sit next to me, really!
"Hmmm." That was pretty damning evidence. Jude knew the police had thought Sebastian did it, but he wasn't aware that they had tried to forcefully drag him off after seeing the evidence.
"Ghost could escape anysing she wants to. Zat's what worries me." That maybe she didn't want to? Probably not. She wasn't suicidal. "Zere has to be some reason she isn't escaping now... or maybe she's staying away for a reason." But Jude had been down that road before a hundred million times. Without more information he just ran in mental circles. Jude ran his hands down his face to keep the tiredness at bay for a little while longer.
"Did you learn anysing about Ghost? You didn't see her go out a window or somesing?" Because that would be really convenient and would make him feel better.

"No..." She shook her head.
"I did find something else out, though. I think Ghost was selling M. There was a lot of it in the apartment; the police had to spend almost an hour carrying it all out." Or at least it felt like they spent an hour carrying it all out. Kaitlyn was tired, hungry and impatient at the time. It was actually more like 20 minutes.
"Did you know anything about that?" Kaitlyn certainly wouldn't hold it against Jude, or Ghost. In fact, it might even elevate Kaitlyn's opinion of them. Lori was probably the one who gave them the drug in the first place; she heard at the Sanctuary that all of the M might make humans hate mutants less. She had met a few drug dealers before, and they seemed a lot nicer than the news and the police and schools would have her believe.
...You've heard stories about me? Don't listen to them! It's safe to sit next to me, really!
"Selling M? Zat's ridiculous." Jude dismissed the idea of the pish-posh that it was.
Though... once he really started thinking about it... "What's M?" Something that had been in the apartment? "If zere was zat much of it, don't you sink I would have seen it zere? Somewhere? I don't sink Ghost is zat sneaky."
But... if she was... "Augh! I don't like zis conjecture stuff. I feel like I don't even know my own family anymore. Ghost does not sell drugs. Sebastian does not kill Ghost. End of story. Zat's how it is." Surely he hadn't been living amongst killers and drug dealers and thinking that they were a loving and supportive family. Jude tugged at his hair in frustration before deciding it was all moot anyway.
"Nope. Zis is crazy talk. Nothsing good happens after midnight. So you, on ze couch for bed. I can find you a blanket and well figure zis out in ze morning."
And... he would find somewhere else to sleep because he didn't want to explode anything on accident.

It seemed to Kaitlyn like Jude really didn't want to hear the truth. But that was okay. She told him what she knew, and that was good enough; she wasn't about to push it on him anymore.
And... sleeping? "But it is morning. It's almost six. I slept already." She was getting a little bit more irritated with Alister than she already was. "Alister said he'd meet me when I got here." Why wasn't he up with them, now, anyway?
A yawn drew their attention to the doorway that led to the bedrooms. Speak of the devil. "Kait..." Alister yawned again, "I meant five PM, not AM." The drowsy, twelve-year-old psychic shuffled over to Jude and Kaitlyn, then sat down cross-legged on the floor next to them. "But I guess while you're here, why don't you play the last thing that your box picked up? I don't think you've heard it yet."
He was right. Kaitlyn hadn't heard it yet. His capacity for being so right about everything was really getting on her nerves. Without so much as acknowledging the psychic's existence, she dutifully pulled up the sound file.
By the time it was done playing, she was furious with Calley.
...You've heard stories about me? Don't listen to them! It's safe to sit next to me, really!
Jude was never going to sleep again ever in his life. Alister was going to make sure of that. He lamented this thought with both hands in his hair and a "ugh!" sound. Jude face planted into the nearest couch pillow.
Speak of the devil.
Kait played the recording and at first it was a lot of scratchy scraping. Totally snooze worthy. But then... Sebastian? And... Calley. More scratching.
Calley was calling him "New Boss Man." Sebastian was... the whole thing fuzzed out with a shocked kitty sound.
"I sink your bug is dead." That was just about the safest thing he could think to say about what they'd just heard. Calley was on their side. Jude knew he was a dirty rat. This just confirmed it.

"But..." Calley, she knew, worked for the Order. That meant that he couldn't be on world-ending-unicorn-man's side, and he shouldn't stop his fellow Order members from spying on people. "He's supposed to be on our side!" Kaitlyn whined. "That... jerk! ...Traitor!"
For a while, Kaitlyn couldn't speak. Calley wasn't her friend anymore. They were friends earlier, because they were both in the Order. That fact alone made them friends in Kaitlyn's book. But now, Calley was being a jerk-face and helping the unicorn-man end the world, so they couldn't be friends anymore, and Kaitlyn was going to tell Lori on him. She was gonna tell Lori on him, and he was gonna be in trouble with the Order, because he was a traitor. This sound file thing here proved that he was a traitor. On top of that, it was worth considering how he just made her look bad in front of Jude.
She would have time to plan her revenge later. For now, Kaitlyn decided, she might have to stop pulling on her own hair so much, and maybe explain what was going on to Jude and Alister. Or at least Jude. "The guy who was talking to Sebastian is Calley. He used to be my friend." Due emphasis was placed on the 'used to' to make it abundantly clear that this had just stopped being the case.
Alister watched on, silent. He didn't even need to anything anymore; his mere presence was enough to irritate Kaitlyn. It became abundantly clear to her that, if it weren't for Eros holding the 'family' together, Alister probably wouldn't have many friends.
