The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>>"Where it at? I wouldn't mind watching something entertaining."
Gawain chuckled.
"I can show you. But you need supervision for a trainee or an X to go in there. And you don't watch entertainin' stuff in there. You do it."
Oh this would be fun. Gawain enjoyed taking newbs to the Danger Room. Especially the ones that acted all high and mighty. Nothing better than a good training program to humble them a little bit.
"It can be a lot of fun, though" he admitted "You got any kind of fightin' training?"
Sometimes they did, sometimes they did not. Maybe this kid was more than just attitude... you can never know.
Supervision. Seriously. That was a load of bull and this guy had to think of him as a fool to actually believe that. If he was supposed to be in there supervised, well he would just have to go there at night on his own. No way he was going to live his life in the mansion being treated like he was some little baby needing to be watched every moment. He was old enough to live on his own and he damn well didn't need a soul telling him what he couldn't do.
His eyes stared at the other guy with complete boredom. Had he ever fought? Fighting style...was this guy serious? With such a weird name, he should have known there was a loose screw or two between his ears. "Enough to take you down." A little cocky but he wasn't going to sit there and look like a complete idiot. He had his own skills and talents, it was just a matter of figuring out how to use them. Sure it would be better if he knew more about what was in this particular room, but he most certainly wasn't going to ask questions about it. The less he showed the other guy of not knowing the better his own chances were.
Picking up the magazine, his eyes flickered about the page a bit more awake then they had been. "Bet you go down fast." The guy didn't look like a threat in the slightest. One good sucker punch would be enough to get him flat on the ground, that much he could dish out. Though he could be wrong, but he certainly wouldn't admit to that. "Unless you got some a**kicking mutation."
He could see the glint in his eyes. He was acting bored and teenage-y, but Gawain was enough of a troublemaker himself to know exactly what was going on in his head. He wondered if his mutation would help him sneak into the DR. He hoped it did. It would make a great show...

Arching an eyebrow, the young knight put the empty cereal bowl down, and sipped some milk.
"Ass kicking?" he chuckled "Depends what you mean by that. I turn into a girl."
He knew how it sounded. That was exactly why he said it. He smirked at the guy, anticipating his reaction. He did not need to know about the mirrorwalking. Yet.
"If you wanna test that theory, you can meet me in the DR once you are awake" he said, pushing away from the counter and walking to the door "I'm gonna be waiting. See ya."
