The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>>“Well, I can’t say that I blame you. After all, I do make a rather handsome god. Besides, how could a god resist the beauty of a mortal queen such as yourself?”
"Oh, there he is." she smiled up at him. Jorge did have something of the god in him, even when he was not under the control of some psycho mutant child. He could control water, after all, and those stories all those centuries ago did not come out of thin air either. People had always had a deep connection to water, and they instinctively felt the power of that ability in the presence of someone like Jorge. He was, in a way, a god of the oceans. Just not the arrogant one with the Greek accent.
>>“Trust me, I’m sure that it was more than his pleasure to do so. Besides, I’m sure you pulled his bacon out of the fire more than once as well.”
"I might have" she nodded with a smirk as they danced, and kissed him back when he leaned in. They were such a great couple. Saving each other from crazy mutants all the time. One of them being strong when the other was weak. "But in the end, I love you more than him."

Jorge
Jorge smirked as they danced. The night was cool and yet it still felt like summer…and definitely smelled like it. The heavy floral scent was in the air that showed that the summer season had been very prosperous it helping the land to grow and blossom. All around them he could smell the scent of the trees, the grass and the flowers being carried in by the night breeze. But it was not an overpowering scent, no, instead it was a comforting one. One that reminded them that even though the summer revelries were over, they would continue again in a year’s time.
To the music, Jorge and Gemma swayed. The detective smirked as she made the announcement that his inner god was beginning to make himself know. He had to chuckle at that. He knew that that he was not entirely himself that time, but there was a part of him that had to be him. A part of him knew that that restless Ocean God resided somewhere within his being, but he was thankful that he had the restraint of a mortal man.
He smirked as she kissed him back and the detective laid his eyes upon hers…
>> "I might have…But in the end, I love you more than him."
He smiled.
It was not just a small, nonchalant smile either. It was a smile that displayed that she had said something that had just touched the corner of his soul. And it a feeling that he never wanted to let go of. He would never get tired of her saying that to him, and he hoped that she would never stop.
Leaning over he kissed her once again and nodded.
“I love you too,” he whispered as he leaned closer, wrapping his arms around her into a closer dance. “Good thing too. I hear gods can be a little unreliable.”
