The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Okay everyone, here it is. Let the summer begin! (Or continue, depending on where you are. ) Like Club Evolution, everyone is welcome, but let’s keep it fun. No fighting, unless its with water. Unless something happens in the meantime, consider this a one-day timeline; the thread will go till August or September, depending on how it goes, but all events will only take place over the course of a day. Sorry, but all you couples will have to wait for another couple months before you start your sunset scenes.
If you have any suggestions/thoughts/worries/changes/etc., let me know by PM.

There was a token chill in the morning breeze, rustling the trees and bushes, just enough to send goosebumps up bare arms. Red, orange and yellow washed away the gray blue of the night, promising a day of heat and humidity. The sun rose slowly, casting its soft rays over a tranquil scene.
An immense stretch of lawn dominated the landscape, impeccably manicured and preened, except in one spot where the grass had been cleared away and replaced by sand. A volley ball net stretched from one side to the other of the sand pit, overlooked by a referee’s chair. The smooth sand practically begged to be marred.
Off to one side of the immense lawn stood a picnic gazebo, complete with three grills, two full bar setups, and tables lined with enough food to feed an army.
Opposite the sandpit was a swimming pool, olympic in size and depth. The pool itself resembled a rainforest retreat. Bright green ferns, tropical flowers and water plants lined the sides of the pool, larger and hardier than normal, thanks to some help from one of the mutants. Water spilled out of the rock fountains, bubbling and rippling out toward the slabs of river rock forming the sides. Two stone pathways led away from the pool; one went up a slight incline, to a heated whirlpool jacuzzi, while the other wandered around and behind the waterfall to dual changing rooms, complete with showers and a hot-rock sauna. Patio furnishings dotted the poolside and lawn, some with open umbrellas for those seeking shade, others with reclining loungers for sunbathing.
As the sun rose higher, as did the temperature, the sparkling waters beckoned enticingly to anyone roaming nearby.
Fiona smiled excitedly to herself as she prepared for what she knew was going to be a great day. Smoothing out her wavy red hair, she paced around searching for the perfect attire. "Ah ha!" she exclaimed, as she pulled out a brand new blood red string bikini with pewter accents between the breasts and on each hip. It fit her snugly, like a second skin.
"Hope it's not too breezy." she giggled, and smiled a smile like sunshine concentrated.
She pulled on a mesh cover-up and some loose black cotton pants for the ride there, and upon arriving hopped out of the car before it had even come to a complete halt.
"Sorry!" she laughed, and proceeded to run right to the pool.
Ripping off her pants and cover-up she dived right into the sparkling water, relishing the fact that it was a warm yet refreshing temperature. She looked like a fish in the ocean as she quickly reached the other end of the pool, and coming back up for air resembled a goddess as she swung her shining hair behind her.
"I wonder when everyone else will get here..." she said, because looking around she realized she didn't know the few that were present.
Shrugging, she climbed out of the pool and stood by, ready to dive right in again.
Syn was looking forward to spending a whole day at the pool. She had gone shopping the day before to find a bathing suit. It took her awhile but finally she found a string bikini. It was her favorite colors too, red and black. It was in something of a slash pattern with the red and black almost looking like claws marks going slant ways on both the top and the bottom portions of the garment. It had two small metal skulls sewn on right where the string meets the portions covering each breast almost like small brooches.
She had decided to walk and the day was good for it. She had her Emily The Strange towel wrapped around her waist like a make shift skirt and black sandals on her feet.
When she got to the pool house there didn't seem to be anyone there. At least that's what she initially thought until she heard the water splashing about.
Syn walked out to the pool area and saw a very beautiful woman enjoying herself in the water. Looking around she walked over to one of the chairs and placed her belongings on the chair. She took off her towel and drapped it over the back of the chair and turned back to the pool.
"Looks great. How's the water?" She dipped her foot into the water and found it to be rather nice. Syn sat down on the edge and gently kicked her feet in the water.
Fiona smiled as another woman joined her, slender in build, with shiny black hair that had alarming red streaks in it. Fiona smiled at the question and dived right into the pool, streamlined and graceful, emerging right before the woman.
"It's awesome!" she answered, and flipped backwards going back under.
Fiona loved to swim, and she soon completed two laps quickly. Coming back up for air, she smiled at the woman. "You should come in, the water is just wonderful!" she laughed, and dipped right back in.
A little white and black cat snuck into the changing rooms, unnoticed. A few minutes later, after helping myself to the contents of someone else’s duffle bag, I stepped out into the pool area wearing baggy gray swim shorts and a towel over one shoulder.
It was hot, that pool looked like a good place to kick my feet in, and after spending two years as a cat, it was a fair bet that no one would recognize me.
Someone was swimming like a fish in the pool, but I didn’t catch a good look at her before she dipped in again. Instead of worrying myself over mermaids, I helped myself to a seat next to the beautiful young woman in the red and black string bikini. I had to admit, the little skulls on her swimsuit were good touches. I stuck my legs into the pool. Very nice, very nice. Too bad I swim like a drunken rock, but the water temp really is very nice, especially on this lovely lungs-choking-on-humidity summer day.
“So,” I said to the lovely lady with my usual grin, “nice day to have a random guy hit on you, isn’t it?”
The pool? Fade had never gone swimming before. OK, maybe a few times, but it didn't mean she went to a pool and it didn't mean she had a swimsuit and it most certainly did not mean she knew how to swim. However, a retreat sounded promising, so she decided, what the heck? Why not try out swimming. So the night before she the pool day, she went to a few stores to search for the 'perfect swimsuit'. Well, not knowing what many people wore, she just picked out one that fit her and seemed to be a good fashion statement.
What she had picked out turned out looking very nice on her. It was a black bikini that showed off her toned stomach. She was not tan...at least not yet. But she would be by the end of the day. She wore some simple shorts over her bottom and over her eyes were large sunglasses. Never really much of a sunglass wearer, but when times call for them, she went out and bought a pair as well. After removing her torn jean shorts, it was obvious that the belt that she was wearing did not infact go with her shorts, and her bikini bottoms looked more like tight, black shorts with an interesting white design curving up her thighs. Her belt was white and thick. After putting down her stuff on a chair, she slid off her flip-flops and moved towards the water, seeing a woman already in the pool.
The red hair moved over to the ladder on the shallow end and dipped her foot in the cool water, feeling a tingly sensation creep up her spin as she did so. She the put in her full foot, more tinglies. Then her other one, then she slowly walked down the steps before floating into the water. Her eyes shot wide open and she immediately put her feet on the bottom, just to make sure she could touch. She could.
"Beautiful day, huh?" She said, starting off the inevitable small-talk to the other and immediately regretting saying something so generic.

Iris paused at the pool's edge. Several people had appeared in the short time she'd been in the changing rooms. She set her beach bag on a nearby lounger along with her Hawaiian Sunset towel and a pair of sunglasses. She stretched until she felt her back crack a bit, then readjusted her swimsuit, a halter-top and skirt-wrap bikini set, colored with the blues, purples and oranges of a tropical sunset. The five jewels embedded in her back caught the sunlight, sparkling strangely. Any other time she'd be very self-conscious about them and the target-type tattoo they were set in. But the day was too pretty, and there was too much fun to be had to be shy.
She smiled and waved hello to the women already in the water, and the pair sitting on the edge, and then made her way to the top of the waterfall. She hung her long legs over the edge, letting the falling water splash her, getting used to the chill.
Fiona was having a blast, coursing through the water. Close enough to the edge, she noticed a woman step into the pool. She said something about the day to the extent of Fiona's hearing, and Fiona leaped up out of the water in front of her. Running her hands through her long hair, she realized the other was a redhead as well.
"Nice hair color, gotta love the redhead touch!" she giggled, and introduced herself.
"My name's Fiona Ciapercelli. I think you mentioned the day, and let me tell you, it's wonderful!"
With that, she bent backwards back into the water, making a quick circle around the woman. Coming back up, she faced her new water mate again. All of a sudden she heard a voice from above, and looking to the waterfall, she noticed an equally beautiful girl. Listening to her playful question, Fiona put on a serious face.
"No, you may not. Begone with you!" she said, and before two seconds could pass burst out laughing.
"Of course! The more the merrier!" she then said, and turned back to the other woman she had been talking to before. Apparently she had a bit of an admirer, so she faced the adjacent redhead instead.
"You look like you're not too fond of water, am I right?" she laughed.
I am surrounded by women, I thought. Beautiful, scantly-clad women.
And then, because I just can't appreciate good things for more than five seconds, I thought:
I really hope one of them doesn't push me in. I looked at the mermaid lady, who'd just finished swimming a loop around another girl. Or pull me in, I added.
Thinking of them as Gorgeous Numbers One, Two, Three, and the Mermaid wasn't working so well, so I decided to do the prudent thing: get names. And numbers. The fact that none of them was talking to me was a little disheartening, but I could fix that. Maybe.
I wasn't trying to say anything fancy or even remotely suave. I just meant to say, "My name is Caleb." What came out when I opened my mouth was more of a hiccup combined with a "Wow" and an appreciative smile twitching at the corners of my mouth that I just couldn't help.
No, I've never been on a date before. Yes, I was surrounded by four very fine specimens of the female race. Enough said.
I cleared my throat. "Hi. I'm Calley." I managed. Go me!
Fiona had been treading water and splashing around when she looked up distractedly at the only guy around. He looked a little flabbergasted, and happened to make weird noises as well. Fiona raised an eyebrow and laughed.
"Hi Calley!" she responded, and swam like a fluid current to the side of the pool where he was. Lifting herself up to sit beside him, she held out a hand.
"I'm Fiona Ciapercelli." she said with a sweet voice, and stood. "I'm going to go to the bar, and get some drinks. Anyone want something?" asked Fiona, looking around inquiringly.
Looking down to Calley, she laughed. "You look a little in shock, why don't you help me bring some piña coladas to the ladies here?" she asked, and extended a slender manicured hand to the guy.

Iris took the woman's tease and pouted, ever so briefly, before smiling widely. It seemed the weather had everyone ready to relax and play, even the one guy who was present. Iris' grin widened as she held back a laugh. His expression and tongue-tiedness was cute to watch. His intro seemed to be given to everyone present, so she replied in kind after Fiona.
"Nice to meet you all. I'm Iris." She glanced around to hear the other's names, before pushing off and into the water. When she surface and heard Fiona mention Pina Coladas, her eyes sparkled.
"Oooh! That sounds awesome! Looks like you're outnumbered for the moment," she added to Calley with a wink.
There was a slender manicured hand extended towards me. Me. It was so... beautiful.
I took it, and let the lovely Fiona pull me to my feet. (Should she have been able to do it that easily? I need to put on some weight. Seriously. The muscled-but-starved look probably wasn't every ladies' wildest dream.) "I'm not in shock." I protested good-humoredly. "I'm in awe. There's about four beautiful differences."
Fiona turned around quickly when she heard she had a fan of the Piña Colada idea. Looking to see, it was the same young lady from the waterfall. Now getting a closer look at her, she noticed smooth caramel skin and striking eyes.
'Another lovely face. This place HAD to be full of mutants!' she thought.
"I know! I love 'em!" she replied, and headed to the bar. Hearing Calley, she snorted with laughter.
"Every woman loves men like you!" she giggled, and finally reached the bar.
"Five Piña Coladas please." she asked, and turned back to Calley.
"So, do you like the water?" she inquired, even though she knew the answer.
Fade looked down at the water before running her hand across the surface, disturbing it ever so slightly after the fellow redhead spoke to her. "Yes, red hair does add a tint of fire into a woman's personality." She chuckled, raising her vision to see the other through her currently black eyes.
After the fellow redhead mentioned that Fade seemed a bit uneasy in water, she found herself stuck in the exact situation she wished to avoid. Yet it was inevitable, might as well blurt it out now. Better to know sooner rather than later, right? "Tell you the truth, I can't swim, I was never taught how." With that, she ran her hand over the water again. "I love the feeling, I feel weightless and empty of my problems, but I just can't emerge myself in the water, I would sink."
Pina Coladas....the words echoed in Fade's mind and she couldn't help but smile again and look up at the two that held them. "Ooooo, gimme, please." She waded over to the edge and, using her raptor-like claws on her feet, climbed the wall as if there was a ladder until she was out of the water. With great excitement, she moved over and politely took one of the drinks from this Calley character with a smile and a simple "Thank you, Calley, is it?"
With that, she decided now was a good time to go ahead and state her own name. But which one? Mutant or human? Fade or Jenny? "My name is Jenny." Settled...
