The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hearing Kaz's wrds, Alex's rage was beginning to radiate in his body as his Crimson Aura began to grow and spread around the room. Even if Kaz didn't know the whole story, his words made Alex begin to hate him with every fiber of his soul. Fortunately, Dorian's words knocked Alex back to his senses as he heard that he didn't know anything about G.
Once his Crimson Aura faded away, Alex was now calm as he spoke. "I see. Well, I guess that's all I need for now." Turning arond, Alex was about to walk away when Dorian gave his proposal. Alex didn't answer immediately. He just remained quiet with his back facing the group as they talked to eachother.
Once he found an opening, Alex spoke out. "Uprising against humans.......I honestly have nothing against humans, nor do I even care of what happens to them. I honestly don't see how I would be of any use to you, seeing as I have no interests in dealing harm on people who haven't really done anything to me." Alex was then quiet again for a little while, then he spoke again. "For now, I'll have to decline your offer."
Not skipping a beat Syn spoke up. "Well, I guess that's leaves the rest of us then." She looked away from Dorian and glanced around at the others. "So what shall we go do now? I'm sure Raptor has eaten all the meat in the place and is probably sleeping somewhere." The fiesty girl turned to Kaz and Isabel. "Should we stick around here or go find something to do outside? I'm voting we go find someplace to eat. I know a great place if you guys wanna go?"

When Alex spoke he clenched and uncleanched his fists a few times, he bit his tongue litterally and looked at Dorian with an annoyed eye. <I won't let him just walk out of here to jeperdize these plans. He can't even control is temper or powers, who know's about his tongue. I'll wait for Dorian's words, but not for very long.>
As Syn spoke up, he sort of lost focus on Alex. He looked over to her and his expression lightened. "Well, I could go for some fresh air and something to eat, not made by my own hands." He chuckled and set his hand on his stomach. "So what is this place you know of?"
A brisk wind blew outside the Sanctuary, and only the strongest willed could even come close to the building's edge. The aura of evil surrounding the structure was just too wild. However, a few more managed to slip close, and some even made it inside. The others faded like the wind which blew them, running for cover from the danger that they sensed. It was getting plain scary here.
One lone figure stood as many passed around her. She stood there in the middle of the sea of running mutants. Mutants who were afraid of themselves as much as they were each other. Fear seemed to dominate the mutant world now, and in every case there was fright somewhere. But here, inside the heart of this lone mutant, the fear was annihilated for but a moment. With that single moment, she seized the time to push forward, and step into the confines of the Sanctuary.
She was tall, dark, and red. Definitely red. Her long hair blew in the wind and she stepped forward, and then fell beautifully to her shoulders as she stepped in and the blowing air ceased. Her hazel eyes pierced that of the nearest mutant, and she glared him down before walking right past him, like he had never existed. She stepped quitely up to the place where she saw several mutants gathering. Probably the main leaders around here. But she wasn't here to join, she was here to talk. With the head honcho and a few others.
To put it simply, she was looking for an ally. A single soul who would help her in her mission. Her mission of domination. She didn't need millions, thousands, hundreds, or scores of mutants at her side. No. She simply needed one faithful mutant to aide her. And so she had come to this gathering to find that one.
One mutant on the far left gave her a sideways look. Probably checking her out. Her mind worked quickly, and in a milisecond she decided that she didn't like this man very much. She spun and stared him down. Then, without a flinch, she lifted her hand and the wall behind him came crashing down.
Trying to react to the sudden attack, he jumped to his right, trying to avoid the attack. He was successful to a degree, but was hit but a stray cinderblock. Falling to the ground, he looked up to find that she had flown to his side. She stared him down once more before closing her hand. As she did, the block crumbled into small rocks. She spun her hand once more and rocks shot downward, into his body and instantly killing him.
Watching the man scream for one last time, she chuckled as her rage came to an abrupt end. It was easy to satisfy her if she was given the right thing. Most of the time the right thing was death.
She wasn't always like this. It wasn't like she intended to kill any person that walked by her. She wasn't typically so bloodthirsty. But when she got mad, her abilities took over, and she didn't have anything to do but kill the person who made her mad. She was really out of control sometimes, but as soon as the threat ended she would be back to herself.
Her unique tempermant had given her the name of Eris, goddess of chaos. And that's exactly what she was. She was living and breathing chaos, yet she was smart as anyone in the building (if not smarter) and a very skilled fighter.
She meant business.
Stepping over body, she turned and faced the talking group, which had been a little abruptly interrupted by the dying man's scream, not to mention the crashing wall. With a smile, she blinked, and when they looked again, they would see the wall was perfectly fine, although the body still lay there.
She walked up to the group and said, "Who is the leader here, I need to speak to him at once." She looked around at the faces and sensed she might have a little trouble. She looked down at her watch, which was specially designed. According to the timer, she still had thirty-four minutes before fatigue set in. Good enough to get done what she needed done. She asked their stunned selves again, "Where's the commander in chief here? I'm not fooling around here..."
A simple entrance with no violence would have done the trick, for anyone but Thorn. No, Thorn could not take just an entrance, along with how much trouble she could get herself into had anyone recognized her from the wanted list. So she stood, infront of the building, curiousity filled her mind with every breath. Rumors had spread about this 'Sanctuary', rumors that sparked her curiousity and brought her here. Something caught her harsh eye and she saw a window washer, barely noticible, washing a window on the fourth floor. Instantly, an idea filled her twisted mind and she walked through the crowd and into an alleyway next to the building. Within seconds, she erupted from the alley way, tears in her eyes, screaming in pain.
"Sir! God, please help me! Please! He's coming! Please!" She screamed as she ran up to the washing stand. The old window washer was surprised that she did not rush into the crowd that had gathered outside, never-the-less, the man was a good samaritan and he lowered himself down and helped the woman inside. He then raised it up to the second level and looked out to see if he could see who was after her, but saw nothing.
"Ma'am, are you ok?" He asked as he helped her to a stand, making sure that she had not been hurt in any way.
The woman looked up at him with hateful and evil eyes before she stated: "Physically, yes. Mentally, far from help." With that, she extended a thorn from her pinky and placed her fingers together before bringing her hand, in a side-ways chop kind-of motion across his throat, sending the thorn straight into his bloodstream and making him bleed out before drawing his last breath. His hand had been clutched to his neck to stop the bleeding and to help him breath, but Thorn moved it and smirked with a stream of blood flowed onto his worker uniform.
With that accomplished, she turned to the window, extracted a thorn on her pointer finger and made a circle in the glass. Of course, she could not fully penetrate the glass, but she then took a step back and kicked the circle, sending the glass shattering in different directions before she crawled inside. Happy to find that no blood was on her black pinstriped pants, black, long sleeve shirt, or black corset with white embroided roses, she moved around through halls and stairs until she saw a group of people coversing. Another girl had beat her to introductions, yet Thorn wished to know the same answer.
"Yes, where is this man that I have heard of? The owner of this place?" She asked, skipping the introduction and everything formal, she was there for one reason, to reak havoc.
Dorian heard something structural fall outside, followed quickly by a man's scream. His patience was rapidly wearing thin, all this attention would bring unwanted questions from the non-mutant world; questions even Dorian would find difficult to give reasonable answers to.
A tall woman, eveloped in red assertively stormed through the golden doors. She stopped metres away from the group in the foyer, demanding that the leader reveal himself. Dorian couldn't believe it. Another disrespectful mutant imposing themselves on him and his institution...
Furious, Dorian took a step towards the woman, eyes closed. He could feel his anger slowly overwhelming his sences. He opened his eyes, which were now glowing a light purple colour. Dorian hadn't been this angry in a very long time. Dorian was about to speak, when he heard the sound of breaking glass from somewhere upstairs. Shortly afterwards, another tall young woman decended down a staircase.
"ENOUGH!" Dorian screamed, both from mouth and mind, just to make sure the point that he was enraged beyond consolation came across to all.
"I AM IN COMMAND HERE," Faint smoke began to rise from Dorian's eyes, "THE NEXT PERSON TO SPEAK OUT OF TURN OR EVEN MOVE WILL FIND THEMSELVES VERY DEAD"
Silence prevailed, calming Dorian enough that the light smoke ceased to emanate from his eyes.
"Now..." Dorian furiously glanced between the two intruders "I am finding it very hard to restrain myself at present, I suggest you tell me of your business here immediately before I completely lose control..."
Eris was a little startled to have her entrance interrupted by the other female in the room. She would have probably killed her if she didn't have other matters to attend to. In fact, Eris thought that Dorian's tone was so serious that he may be a little too much for the project. No... maybe not.
Unintimidated, she walked straight up to him, while his mind and voice screaming came accross. She figured it might be better to try and appease him though, so she spoke softer. "I apoligize for my blatant intrusion. I have come here to discuss a business deal with you. No, not a financial deal. A business deal."
She walked closer to Dorian King to make sure that he understood that she didn't fear him. At the same time, she was calm and sort of sexy. He would probably calm himself now, if only because a beautiful woman was nearly walking into his arms. She stopped about 12 inches from his face and peered into the purple eyes with her own hazel ones. His were evil, but she liked that kind of thing. Her stare was likely intoxicating to the man, and any normal blooded male would be a little stunned by her bold approach.
Finally she spoke, almost a whisper this time. "What is your name, so that we can converse civily. As for me, I am Eris, godess of chaos." She drew out every word in a provocative manner. She would use every asset at her disposal to get what she needed here.
Dorian was taken aback by this destructive creature's sensuality, though he concealed any surprise with a sly grin. He leaned closer, halving the gap between the two and in an equally soft voice, replied "My name is Dorian King... I am chaos itself" emphasizing 'itself' with a hiss. Dorian lingered momentarily, his stare unfaltering, until he swiftly broke his gaze and turned.
"So, Eris, what is this business deal you have for me?"
Dorian was interested to hear what this woman's proposition was. He took a mental note of the other intruder's position just in case this was a set up and action needed to be taken.
Thorn raised an eyebrow to his sudden outburst of apparent anger and frustration. Maybe this was not the place to be after all. However, first impressions are not always the best, and the least this woman of evil could do is give the place longer than 20 seconds. So she lowered her eyebrow and listened to the man, completely silent and motionless, waiting.
She rolled her eyes as she watched Eris turn into a seductress. However, she kept her mouth shut until the right time, after they had conversed, just for a little bit. Feeling a little bored, the woman reached to her side and revealed a flask hidden in her corset. Yes, it was, at times, a bit uncomfortable, but having her alcohol that close was never too uncomfortable, or at least never enough to make her stop. She unscrewed the top and put it lightly to her lips before taking a quick shot of something strong, or so it smelled. After a couple of seconds, she felt the alcohol warming her insides and sending her blood on a small surge or adrenaline, or whatever it is she was feeling.
Now that she had her alcohol, she could be calm, slightly. "Um, yeah..." She sighed as she raised an eyebrow to the 'goddess of chaos' and 'chaos itself'. "Might I introduce myself in a more distant manner." She stated, meaning, quite literally, how she had not pushed herself up against Mr. King as Eris had done. "I am Prudence Kahts, Roxanne Ular, or Thorn, as many have come to know me. Whichever you choose to call me. However, names are not of importance here, reasons are most accomidating in this matter. I am here because I have heard of this place from a mutant that I wish to remain un-named. Apparently, this is the only building that can accomidate my, mental stability, I guess you can call it. Have I come to the right place, or shall I leave? Oh, and yes, pardon me for that glass upstairs..." She sighed, knowing that she had to apologize for the man she killed as well, but left it at the glass. "If you wish, I can fix it, but only if you desire."
Dorian's whole demeanor changed for the better after he heard what Thorn had to say.
"At last... a mutant who isn't quizzing me about my plans, my knowledge or my identity. To that, I must say: The Sanctuary greets you with open arms." the purple glow from his eyes by now had completely dissapated.
"Don't worry about the glass, we shall have it fixed immediately. Right now, our main concern is having you shown around, which I'm sure any of the mutants already staying here would be thrilled to do." He said, turning to look at the young mutants standing behind him, "Mr Kaine, you too may find benefit in the orientation of this facility. I believe we have all been exposed to enough excitement for the day." Turning back to the lady in red conjured thoughts of a respectful disdain though when he spoke, the tone of his voice was quite cheerful, "Ms Eris, I'm assuming you're not staying here, so please, do tell me of your proposition, I'm all ears."
Eris smiled as she watched Dorian speak. It was just the thing she expected from him, and she continued to stand just a foot away, her face locked with his. "Chaos itself? Then we make a good pair." As he turned away, she noted that once again the girl behind her had rudely interupted her. Completely ignoring the girl, she kept a lock on Dorian and watched as his eyes shifted back to their normal color.
So far... so good. Time for some more action... She wasn't going to let up on Mr. King.
"No... Mr. King. I am not staying here as far as I know. In fact, if you turn down my deal I may only be here for a few more minutes. But if you accept my deal there is no telling how long." Again she lowered her voice. "This is my deal Dorian..."
Slowly she continued to speak, "I will give you or do any one thing for you," she took a hand a rubbed it accross his cheek. She was being far too forward, but that was the amazing part of all of this. She would literally do almost anything to get what she wanted. She kept talking, "in exchange for one thing. Your partnership. I know that this may be hard to secure. You are a proud man, and that I respect, but I know that partnership like this may be bought."
She now took her other hand and grabbed his shoulder, gently massaging it. She kept speaking seductively. "You say no, and I'm gone. Like I never was here. But I will find a mutant to help my cause and assist me. You say yes, and we have a beautiful friendship," she drew out the last word emphasizing every syllable. "and I can help you Mr. King. I am extremely powerful. Not like the others. I can do things that will make you think twice about science. I can do things that break the imagination in two. Dorian... this is a one time offer. SO what will it be? Do we have a deal?" She said the words with a sly smile on her face, her eyes still penetrating his.
Thorn nodded her head with a faint smile before speaking. "There is a time and a place for everything, now is not the time, nor the place. When the time does come, however, I am willing to do whatever is neccessary to get the point across to the world outside. However, such time and place are entirely up to you." With that, she could not help herself. She took another quick shot of her flask as the woman approached him and yet again, flirted.
A small chuckle escaped her lips as the other spoke of a partnership. She knew that she was not invited in the conversation and she did not want to interrupt this evil character in their first encounter, by this, she meant Mr. King. Parternship in crime or in bed? She mentally chuckled, feeling like this was going to be a battle of who could seduce him best. If it was seduction that Thorn needed, then that part was easy, so long as Eris did not do anything stupid, as it seems she would.

Kaz watched as the red-clad woman burst through the doors, killed a man and tried to seduce Dorian. He didnot miss the girl Thorn off to the side. Even when Eris wispered only for Dorian's ears he heard what she said. He had been holding laughs in from the moment she began flaunting herself. He mostly ignored the drinking girl except when she introduced herself in the manner opposite of Eris. Kaz found that quite funny.. As Eris spoke of partnership, Kaz could not contain his chuckled anymore. "Well Eris, just a bit of friendly advice, it usually helps with somone's decision if they know what the 'partnership' is for."
Looking to Dorian, "I can call up one of the mutants from below to show them around. I believe Isabel, Syn and I were going to head out for a bit." He moved nex to Syn and set a hand on her shoulder. She seemed a bit stunned, shocked, taken aback by Eris and her entrance. Speaking softly into her ear, "You alright? You haven't moved or said anything for some minutes now."
The sudden appearance of two more females into the Santuary made Syn a bit angered. Now she had even more competition and she hated competition. The first was clad in dark red clothing and fuming with power. She appeared to be older than Syn. The second was dressed in black, one of the things Syn could say she did like about the girl. They introduced themselves as some self proclaimed Goddess and Thorn. The wannabe deity was being extremely forward with Mr. King. Syn was wondering when the woman was going to just rub herself all over Dorian. Her actions actually made Syn want to throw up it was so sickening. In fact she faked the gesture and added sound for good measure.
"Oh please grow up will ya!? You're making us sick with your gestures. Can't you see Mr. King doesn't appreciate actions like that? He prefers direct conversations to acting like a dog." That little speech got a few people's attention and a couple giggles from Kaz and a nod from Isabel. Looking to Thorn she changed her demeanor a bit as the other girl hadn't been so bold. "Hello Thorn my name is Syn. By the way, nice outfit."
For a moment Isabel could only manage an expression of shock as she watched the conversation unfold in front of her. Gradually she was able to shake off the shock and instead looked disapprovingly at the woman that was practically dripping in shades of red, finding the other woman that had entered to be seemingly more sensible and much more dignified. Isabel grinned in amusement at Syn's reaction, funding it to be both entertaining as well as accurate. This Eris woman reminded her of a leech. A big red leech.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
