The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Jaya got off the train and began to walk. She held the strap of her knapsack closely to her as she entered an unfamiliar part of town, a place she had never seen. The buildings were much like those in other areas, close together and kind of old-fashioned, but the people were different. She felt like she had walked into another world. She walked down the streets and tried to find a place that she could stay for the night, no one here cared, no one needed any help around the house, no one... In the end Jaya picked a light supper from behind a local bakery and slept under a staircase in an alleyway. She wondered why she always seemed to end up in an alleyway of some sort. When she had left the country she'd thought that there would be plenty of little old ladies needing help around the house who would open up their doors to her. Now that she was in the city and all alone, she realized how wrong she had been.
Taking his first steps on American soil must've been the only gift his father ever left him, Dominik being born a technical american citizen after all. There was no stopping at the baggage claim, as there was nothing to claim. And there was no stopping for food, for no sooner he had arrived at the terminal entrance he was greeted by a man, not with words, but with an envelope reading: "kalter Sommer", an inside joke between him and "the boss". Stepping outside the terminal into the embracing warmth of the moonlight, he slowly relinquished the contents of the enevelope to reveal a wad of cash, as well as a slip of paper with the address of a vacant safe house. Dominik grined, placing the money and paper in his coat pocket, looking up in deep thought if not reveling in his own luck. Still looking into the sky he motioned an arm into the air, hailing a cab in his usual apathetic manor.
Getting into the cab, the driver turned towards him in inquiery "Where too buddy?"
Thinking for a moment he reached into his pocket and then after produced another grin. "Take me to the best diner in town."
"hah i know just the place, nice little establishment, real quaint."
The driver putting his foot to the peddle sped off for the diner, only remarking "did it get cold in here? or did the Mets lose again." soon enough Dominik was outside the aforementioned diner, leaving the cab driver a good tip for the ride, he entered the building with his usual aura of intrigued. Noticing the stares, as people instinctly felt the chill pass through the building, he walked forward towards a nearby counter stool and took a seat. Gaining the attention of one of the waitresses he ordered a plate of the house special, and sooner than never was greeted with some good eats. He still had some left after he was done and asked the waitress for a doggy bag as he left. Opening the door produced a small breeze, but the diner once again returned to it normal climate. Walking down the street he realized he didnt know where the address of the safe house was. Even worse it seemed like he wasnt in the right neighborhood to be strolling around. As Nik took a turn down an alley way he looked up to see the moon had been stolen and hidden behind the clouds leaving him to believe it might rain soon. Then off to the side Nik saw a girl with green tinted hair. Though she seemed in distress he continued past her with little care. "But thats not how life works is it" talking to himself he knew what would be the right thing to do. Turning around he approached the girl and reaching into his jacket pulled out the doggy bag from before and tossed it in front of her "Here" he said in his usual tone.
Savannah walked around expression bored then she saw two people she walked up to them and asked:"Do you know if there is there is a diner nearby? And man, are you a mutant? In that case it must be you who is making it chilly.."
Nik slightly glanced to the side and began looking the young woman over, seeing that she was of no threat he monotonely said to her "yeah, around the corner.. A chill? sorry, must be you."
Jaya took the unexpected offering from the man. She opened it up, it was the leftovers of the local diner's house special, sad that she knew these things. It was still a little warm, she began picking at it with the plastic fork that was left in the box, eating hungrily, but savoring the taste of it all. Still, it was gone rather quickly. The man still stood there, Jaya wondered if maybe he wanted the box back. The hairs on the back of her neck were standing on end, she wasn't sure why. Maybe it was just because she hadn't seen a real man in so long. She remembered having a boyfriend once, oh the things they did together. She was about to say something when some random blond rounded the corner. She asked if there was a diner nearby. "You've come to the right alley," Jaya said as she stood up and brushed off her clothes a little bit before pointing up the street. "It's just up that way, down one block, take a left, the address is 54189 Fell Street. It's the best diner in town."
"Look. Im not catty,im right. Humans have done nothing but to complain at us, when we have done nothing wrong,so just lay off."Savannah said raising one of her eyebrows at her and glared.
Nik grinned a bit "Sorry to say but i dont think thats any of your bizness. Besides im not here to have a quaint chat with strangers, i did my good deed for the day." his attention still positioned towards the girl with green hair.
