The day after next, there was a note on Maxine's bathroom mirror (on the outside, duh) High up, out of reach for a certain octoclip's revenge.

Mother’s full name? Birth date? Physical description/Distinguishing marks? Social security number?
Gillian Morris. April 14th, 1968. SSN: no clue.

Where were you when your mother disappeared? What date/time did it happen?
At home, sleeping. Woke up some time after 10, she was gone. December 4, 2005.

Was she upset/angry/nervous at any point leading up to her disappearance? Any fights with you/other people that you didn’t understand? Anything unusual?
Nope. It was just after my birthday. Things were peachy.

Where did you wait for her?/How long?
At the apartment for a week, then started looking.

Where did you go after you stopped waiting? What did you do to catch her attention?
Stayed in Seattle for a couple of months (?) until I learned to mirrorwalk. Then, across the country from Seattle to NYC, mirror to mirror. Low profile. She taught me that.

Are there other faces/aliases she frequently wears?
She used movie stars a lot. Rumors of them showing up are common, and no one would believe it. Never did an exact copy of them though, so they could never be sure.

What is her mutation? Specific strengths/details/surprises.
Human shifter. Can change her entire body into whoever else she wants to, but it takes her a day to complete the change, gradually. Can be male too, usually does that for more strength and protection. The only original face she has is her own, the others are all copies. She has to see one to copy it. Only can make minor changes.

There was also a photo attached. Or at least a color copy of one.
