I've pair everyone's symptoms to their exact mutation. The matches are to close to be chance. I also rexamined our odd case file of the human. I looked up his symptoms which was shaping up to perectly match a viral superinfection, specifically Adenovirus. *Del explains putting down the files on the table.* I would have to say this virus is only going to affect mutants, and out mouse sample proves that.

Dr.VanDeKamp nods. "Good. You're on the same page as I am."

Yes well, same chapter anyways. I can't figure out how it would be evolutionarly benifical for a viruse to only attack a minority of a large species. *Del says viewing Dr. VanDeKamp's sketches and molecular formulas and amino acid strains covering the board, only understanding bits and pieces.* But it looks like you are working on the why and the how at the same time.

Dr.VanDeKamp Taps the end of the pen against his lips. "...thing is.... virus isn't really attacking the DNA... it appears to be attacking tRNA, replaicng the coding..." He's muttering, half to himself, half to Delphi.

*Del starts to understand more of what she is seeing now.* But that isn't what viruses do-I mean in classes so far viruses they can't do what your suggesting. *Del says flustered.*

"Exactly. This makes no sence. Viruses should attack the rRNA, not the tRNA."

Yes, well that is what every text book I've been taught says. *Del says, she really isn't going to be very much help any more. She'll be a good lab technician but mostly she is probably going to be writting paper on this viruse from now till she stops being a member of the medical community, or it is eradicated.*

He sighs. "Which is why we now have to figure out why all of our science seems to be wrong."

I'm not going to be very helpful with that. *Del points out heading back over to her desk and going through text books and loose papers in an effort to straighten up stuff.*

Honestly . . . I was learning more here, and I felt like I was actually helping. *Del admits, a little sheepishly.*

"You're more than welcome to stay. I could use the human contact... Aric does't count. But your roll might be more along the lines of... ah, gofer. Or someone to bounce my thoughts off of."

Fine by me, *Del says hoping this will give her somemore at home time, since she won't be needed to work quite as late here any more.* so do you have anything you need me for right now? Because if not I am going to get to work on writting up the best thesis and final paper that NYU has ever seen, hopefully.
