The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

That is weird of you to ask, all I did was spends the weekends with my kids. I end up sleeping when everthey do, they had a cold and we all ended up on cold medications-or the kids did? *Del says a little fuzzy on the details.*
"A touch of hangover." He says, waving the air around her. "I could rix that, if you want." She smells like alcohol, and is a little bit damp from when the alcohol exited her body. Luckily, alcohol has a high evaporation rate.
Ha ha, no you can't. *Del says looking up at him with a half smile.* Cellular Respration 101, have I proven I'm sober enough to be told what was so important that I get here tonight?
*Del gets to shake her head in a negative manner and stops and settles on waving a hand in a dismissive manner.* No no please get onto . . . what exactly?
Ok. *Del skimms over the number stops, rubs her eyes and rereads with much more intent.* Nate-these reading can't be right, did you get it rechecked? *Del asks so concerned she uses his familiar name.*
This is what it causing those readings? But that would make this an infectious disease. It is on par with AIDS but it is not AIDS, the structure is off. What is this branch? Ohh this isn't good, this is bad-wait do we know how it spreads, is it infectious? We need to test that whole family. *Del says shocked going through the papers fast scanning columns her mind fast at work.*
"Heh. Yeah, I spent the entire break making sure that I touched everyone who I had come in contact with, and everyone they had come in contact with and so forth, providing I could. Everyone else was sent to quarentine. Some freaky US branch of security managed to work it all quiet, so no panic. Then I spent about three days straight researching how it spread. Near as we can tell it's not airborn. More like- body fuilds. And even then, it's touch and go. We're trying to figure out what's the determining factor, but I needed to make sure you and your kin were healthy."
No I've been fine, oh god we don't even know the symptoms? Is it heart failure, a disease that attacks the heart, that is what she died of but- *Del goes back through her memory thinking hard.* There were no signs of disease-how will we know the symptoms?
