Ashton turned to the cabbie. "Wait here for a second?" He grinned.
To Archer, he said "Walk you to your door?"
The cabbie rolled his eyes. He had his eye on this guy. He would wait. Even until the morning, if it came to that. Dude still hadn't paid.

Ashton was quite the gentleman, wasn’t he? Offering to take her to her door. He told the cabbie to wait, and the guy agreed. Quin was okay with that, but she had a feeling that the meter would keep running.
”Sure.” she said, pushing open the door and climbing out. It was a little difficult, but not something she was incapable of managing. Walking was fine too, she wasn’t that drunk.
Up the stairs they went, and Quin stopped in front of the main door to the complex and smiled. ”I think I can take it from here.” she said, then chuckled, ”I’d invite you in for a drink, but I think I’ve had enough.”
She fished for her keys in her purse and unlocked the door. Turning back with one last grin.
”Thanks for showing up though. I needed that.”

"Me too," He smirked.
She thanked him, and he chuckled.
"No problem. It was fun. Good night."
With an over-the-shoulder wave, he left her at her door and headed back towards the cab. He wasn't pressing his luck to take her up on that drink. Why would he? Archer was a great cop. A friend.
