The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"I don't know shit man!" The thug yells at The Archer, looking between the woman at the mouth of the alley and The Archer.
The Archer looks to his left, at the woman. He lets the thug go and he runs down the opposite way of the alley. The Archer stays, looking at the woman.
"Oh, don't let me interrupt." ::The woman speaks up in a British accent, a small smirk on her face. She watches the thug turn at the end of the alley and disappear.:: "I was merely curious."

"Don't let it get the best of you." The Archer says though the voice changer in his mask. "I think it'd be in your best interest if you didn't call much attention to this."
"I've only been in the country for about thirty-six hours, love." ::Jocelyn replies evenly.:: "I've got no one to tell anyway. But I must say, it may be in your best interest to do those sort of things in a more private area. Next time it could be an officer 'round the corner."

"It was dark fifteen minutes ago, and he wouldn't give me answers. Besides, taking down cops is too easy in this city." The Archer says, deciding that this woman is safe to be around.

"I wouldn't try anything against the police if I were you. You don't want to be on my bad side." The Archer says, looking up into the sky for a moment.
"Hmm, that's interesting. Were you not the one who just told me that the police in this city were easy to take down?" ::She smiles a little.:: "Not that I was planning anything, mind you. Just seems a bit hypocritcal of you."

"I do what is needed to be done. If a cop gets in my way, I'll take him down. I do reserve the right to be called a good guy, though." He says, starting to think different of this woman.
"Reserve away. Don't let me stop you. So, that guy--" ::Jocelyn indicates the end of the alley, where the thug disappeared.:: "He wasn't all that important?"

"Either way I'll get my answers. No doubt that he'll whine to his boss, wanting to know why he let me get to him. His boss is the one I'm after, so he'll send someone looking for me. And if you'll excuse me, it's not early morning and I am very much a creature of the night." The Archer says, walking off to the side of the alley and hopping on a grey moter-cycle. He starts it up, heading towards the woman. "Stay out of trouble." He says, stopping next to her, before speeding off.

"Hit him." Jodran says. The dirver hesitates and jordan presses the gas down with his powers. "You drive like my grandma." The man fires a shot, that with the help of jordan's powers, only manages to graze the paint on the side of the car.
