The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Raina followed Deathstar into the changing room feeling a little akward and unsure. She was wearing sweats anyway- she'd probably be fine. She looked through the glass at the room that looked simply- like an empty room and wondered what was in store for her.
Raphael split ways from the women at the Danger Room, heading into the men's changing room and swapping damp jeans for a set of comfortable white karate gi pants, and his t-shirt for a sleeveless white gi-top and white belt. No reason to ruin something with sleeves with his elbow blades. He reentered the Danger Room and looked over toward Deathstar's voice as she addressed him.
"Easy, infact... I might just stand back and let you two perform alone," he said, walking around the edge of the big empty room. "What do you think of that Raina?"
Deathstar walked inside the danger room confident and eager for action. She started her stretches and warming up her muscles for another session at the danger room. She looked to over to raph, "Well lets start easy and see how far we can go" she tells Raph as she continues to stretch. "Raina!, trust me theres nothing to worry about, its only simulation, if it gets too difficult we will turn it off" she says to Raina wanting her to feel comfortable in the danger room.

"I'm not really used to ... fighting..." said Raina nervously. "I can be pretty quick... but that's about it." she looked nervously at the others- not really all that vamped about trying her powers again. "I spose I'll mostly watch you two."
Raphael nodded, backing towards the side. "We can do non-combat drills Raina, something easy and simple to get you used to the Danger Room. How about a bit of agility training?"
"This might be a little jarring for first timers, so... try to keep your balance," He looked from the woman upwards. "Computer, initiate agility training program level one please."
The room faded from view and was replaced with a simple playground. Before him, and where Raina and Deathstar stood, was a sandbox, a series of platforms and balance beams dotting the way from one side to the other. "Come over here you two."
Deathstar saw the room instantly change, she looked over the path thinking mentally how she was going to cross to the other side. Without a word she jump on the first beam, it was a see-saw like beam that goes up and down when anyone steps on it. Deathstar wobbles from side to side upon steeping on the beam trying to catch balance, but leaps to the middle of the beam and grasp it. Getting on fours and slowly standing up she looks back toward Raina, "Are you coming?" she says as she balance checking herself.

Raina looked around nervously, it seemed harmless enough. Without another word she made a garceful movement like a dancer- nearly effortless- and stood behind deathstar. Raina wasn't very strong, and she wasn't able to fully use her powers, but years of discipline with her tribe and out on the ice taught Raina how to balance. "I'm with you!" she smiled.
((it's okie Raina, and you know you can edit posts after you've submitted them... right?)) Raphael remained off to the side, this level was well below his skill, even blind-folded with his arms tied behind his back. Before becoming a professional cage-fighter he was an acrobat. This is what he started with so very long ago. He folded his arms across his chest and watched the two women begin their crossing of the first balance beam.
"Are you two steady?" he asked in almost an instructor's tone, before directing his next comment to the computer. "Computer, step up to level two."
The beam they were balanced on began to rock on its own accord rather than the sea-saw motion that their feet produced. The platforms sticking out of the sand beyond them began to move side-to-side, while further balance beams also began to move in a circular, rocking, or side-to-side motion, and a couple with a combination of the three motions.

Raina shuttered nervously as the wood beneath her feet started to move. She closed her eyes and imagined herself back home as a child leaping from ice to ice on the frozen tundra. She'd play a game where she tried to step litley and not break the snow. Her feet began to move of their own accord as she leapt from one beam to the next to join Raph. It wasn't as graceful as before- but still impressive for someone who had very little training.
Raphael remained where he was as Raina overtook Deathstar and finished the course. He nodded to her, keeping his arms folded over his chest and looked back to Deathstar still on the first balance beam as he spoke. "See, that wasn't so bad, was it?"

Raina blushed "Yeah but I bet this is like the easiest thing here and I'm already breaking a sweat!" she laughed rubbing her head. "At least it's not freezing here." she added.
Deathstar stood behind Raina to make sure nothing would happen to her, as Raina finish the path, Deathstar decided to take the difficult appraoch. As one side of the beam she was standing on leveled up she, she uses that oppurtunity to jump and catapult herself to the next platform, barely grasping the next platform with her fingertips. She hung on the edge of the moving plarform for a minute to gather her energy. After a minute or so she uses her feet to throw herself over the edge and on top of the plaform. As she looked over to last beam spinning rapidly she caculated her jump , and leaps to the last beam catching herself with one arm, Finally she jumps down below where Raph and Raina were standing. "Its been a while!," she says while laughing but out of breathe.
Raphael nodded to the out of breath Deathstar and turned his head back to the obstacle course. "Computer, bump it from level two to level four please." He directed the computer.
The course, for the most part, remained the same, only the ground dropped away, replaced by a springy acrobat's net some ten feet down, each of the balance beams and platforms remained where they where, and how they were moving. He rolled his shoulders some, stepped away from the pair of women and sprang gingerly across the course, feet seemingly hardly touching each platform before catapulting him to the next. His crossing of the balance beams seemed more like a run than a careful walk, and before long he was on the otherside looking back at them, being a former acrobat helped. He raised a hand and beckoned them. "Come on, it's not that hard. No different than what you just did, just ten feet higher. The hard stuff is next."
