Sebastian nodded solemnly at Ghost's insistence that he should follow his own dreams. She was right, of course. Some of the future had already changed, maybe other parts would too. He had thought that by knowing he could change it himself, but maybe what he really needed to do with the knowledge was to hand it over to someone more prepared, like the geneticist Ghost mentioned, or perhaps a certain mad scientist he knew.
He had a little time to think about it, when he was more well rested.
Wait, tree?
“It's Christmas?” Sebastian did some mental math, which wasn't easy with a sleep deprived brain: finals were at the end of the week, scheduled for December 22nd. Three days after that was the 25th.
“It's going to be our first Christmas together as a family,” he realized. Slowly, the corners of his mouth turned up just slightly.. No matter how down he felt, that was a thought that could make him smile.
“I agree to your terms, and I recommend tea to accompany tree investigating.” And maybe a snack, shortly followed by bed. Now that he didn't have books and more books to distract him, it was becoming impossible to ignore the needs of his own body.
