The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

With the help of a student who was previously in the Danger Room, Desiree was able to activate what some call "Gym Mode". Also referred to as the PE of the Institute's classes. Desiee stood in a wrestling ring, similar to WWE/WCW/ECW, whatever you watch or used to watch on TV.
Ruki looked around, having finished the last of the apples on the way over. The place was...active and a bit dusty. Ruki wasn't wearing her huge J-rock boots, instead she wore her ballet slippers with long ribbons that laced up her legs. She smiled at Desiree when the young woman got into the ring.
"I have never been this close to one of these before." she said softly her wide eyes scanning the whole scene taking it all in.

Desiree leaned against the ropes looking at the exit of the Danger Room. "Yeah, you'll get to see what I can do if someone decides to step in the ring with me." Desiree said with a grin.
The girl blushed and kept her head low. "I heard that wrestling was fake. There are microphones under the platform and the moves are rehearsed. Is this true?"

"Not when I do it. The company I used to work for was legitimate. No microphones, no pulled punches, just two people in a ring with money on the line." Desiree said. Desiree was used to people believing what she did was fake, but the truth was, she was hardcore for a reason. When she wrestled, it was like a fight.
Ruki listened intently, rasing her head to look at Desiree. The woman was indeed beautiful and her body was perfectly proportioned, almost aerodynamic in it's athletic qualities. She would've made a good dancer, Ruki thought.
"Misconceptions." Ruki said nodding. She looked at the ropes but did not want to fall while getting in, she didn't want to embarass herself in front of Desiree. "How does one go about entering this...ring." she asked innocently, reaching up to grasp a rope with her small, pale hand.

"Like this." Desiree said. She reached over the ring ropes and grasped Ruki's biceps. She lifted Ruki up, setting her feet down on the ring edge, outside the ropes. Both girls were now an pinch away from each other. "Um..." Desiree said. "Or you could have used the stairs." she added, not taking her eyes off Ruki's to look at the black stairs at the corner of the ring.
Ruki landed on her toes; as she had become accustomed to in ballet. Desiree had still not removed her hands from Ruki's shoulder and the asian girl blushed a bright red as she it her bottom lip, staring at Desiree's.
(Gag me) Hina said, and leaned back into Ruki. The pressure snapped the girl out of her trance and she blushed even more, backing up and bowing. *Arigato, Desi-chan I had no clue there were stairs."

Desiree blushed as well, although it was not quite so apparent. She lifted the top rope up, to Ruki could get in. "What forms of martial arts do you know?" Desiree asked. She was good at blocking if anything.
Ruki stepped gracefully into the ring, setting Hina on the corner pole of it. She smoothed her skirt as she spoke.
"I've taken Kendo for five years, as a form of self defense. It uses wooden ...I suppose the best american translation would be sword. Hand to hand combat has never been my expertise, but I know a few moves from judo, karate and Tae kwon do." She shrugged. "It was never necessary for me to ever use them."

"Would you like me to teach you a move? I know one that can make a person pass out in a few second." Desiree offered. She felt it would be a good idea to teach Ruki her finishing move, as it was very useful in a fight.

"Let me just get something." Desiree said. She slipped out of the ring, and looked under it. Good, they had life-sized dummies here. She pulled one out, and sat it face down in the middle of the ring. She demonstrated the move to to Ruki, locking her right arm around the dummie's right arm, and her left around it's neck. "This in Judo is known as a Katahajime." She said, and then extended her left arm, so the elbow was under the dummy's jaw. "...and this is a Tazzmission in wrestling terms. It increases how fast someone will pass out. The move is done behind the person of course, and this will make them pass out faster." Desiree said, and with the last statelment she leaned back, slamming herself into the mat with the dummy on top of her. Her legs folded quickly over the dummy's belly. This would make it impossible for someone to escape the move, as it can be countered while standing, but on the ground liek this, it was futile to try and resist. Desiree let go, and stood with her back to Ruki. "Now you try." she said. "But don't fall back, you haven't been trained to take a bump like I have." she added.
Ruki was quite impressed by Desiree's knowledge and how the move had been incorporated with Wrestling; her craft. She moved to the back of the dummy and tried to emulate the move as best she could. She fond that she was a bit shorter than the dummy and had to stand on her tippy toes. This was fine in dancing but not for the move. She tried to tighten her grip and ended up stumbling back, the dummy hitting the floor right before her feet. She gave a startled cry and her hands rushed to her mouth.
"Oops. Gomennasai, Desi-chan. That was more difficult than it appeared." she said sadly.

"Hmmm..." Desiree said as she saw how Ruki fell back. "Try it on me, I'm shorter than the dummy." she offered. "That and you'll have an excuse to get her to touch you." Soul's voice said in Desiree's mind. It wasn't often that Soul bothered to talk to Desiree, but when it was it gave her an immediate headache. Desiree winced at the pain, but ignored it. She motioned for Ruki to get behind her and apply the move.
