The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The Infirmary's Frequent Visitor Program in Action
Mike didn't even come through the building. The window swung open as he flew through, Daria cradled in his arms. She was in a sorry state as he laid her on a cot to the tender mercies of the nurses and attendants. She'd bled... a lot. The wounds on her stomach and internal organs were being held closed telekinetically, but he hadn't been able to stop the initial bleeding, and she'd lost a lot.
"Stay with me, baby," he thought to her, watching the Doc and the nurses rushing to care for her. One of the nurses came up and asked his blood type, and after a quick check to make sure it was a match, they put him on the cot next to hers for a blood transfusion.

The doc was suprervising and did the healing of her internal organs and the nurses were busy stitching her back together. She showed very low level signs of life besides her twitching ears and tail.
During the transfusion it was almost as if she didn't notice the needle in her arm but the monitor's screen showed that she was doing better than she was a few minutes or an hour ago. Still her eyes were closed.
And as his blood flowed into hers, his mind opened to hers as well. There were no real thoughts, just a warm feeling surrounding hers, coaxing it to come back. "I love you..."
He was, after all, a little woozy... he was now becoming a little short on blood, and was still feeling the fight.

Daria's ears began twitching a little more intentionally, turning toward the monitor which was telling her life in slow beeping noises, then to the nurse who was whispering to the doc prof on the other side of the room, to the window where sounds of playing children drifted into the room and finally to Mike, she could hear him breathing.
Her sight was better, now that surpressant had been drained from her system and she blinked a few times to get it better. Mike.. She smiled weakly and then thought for a minute...where's my car?

Daria raised an eyebrow. Thanks, it's good to be back. But seriously...is my car okay?
Her tail was uncomfortably caught between the cot and her body but when she tried to shift and move it, a pain shot through her abdomen that made her arch her back and hiss loudly, writhing in pain. The nurse rushed over to pin her down to the cot, she got herself a nice little bite on the wrist, she happened to be the one who had been eyeing Mike while he was in his coma.
Lucky her.
When the nurse ran off with her wrist gripped tightly in her free hand, Daria was breathing heavily and waiting for the pain in her stomach to subside. When it did she lifted up the sheet and noted that her hospital gown was on backwards so that it opened in the front, which explained why her tail was closed in.
She could see her stomach, her smooth honey colored skin interupted by a long ropey scar, like some vicious snake had been borne from her womb.
"Well... it was ok last time I saw it... we just drove it, didn't crash it... and when I left they were winning, so it should still be ok..."
Mike was pretty out of it... still tired and down on blood. He'd made them take more blood than was normal, probably twice the usual amount, by making them not notice how much he'd given.

Daria sighed and licked her lips, which now tasted like Nurse's blood. She was slightly worried the doc would be a bit upset she'd bitten her but it hadn't been on purpose...
Daria sighed, thinking about the scar and whether it would go away and how much damage had been done.
I kept the keys Daria thought to herself more than mike. Which means they hotwired my car....gotta fix that when I...can walk. She groaned.
The doc was in the corner reading a file that Daria was sure was hers. Do you think it's really bad, Mike? she asked with the demeanor of a frightened child.
Mike sighed and closed his eyes. "Hang on, I'll look. Whoooah.... Ok, don't make me do that again, I'm dizzy enough already. Serious enough that he'll tranq you if you try to leave tonight, not serious enough that you need to get scared." Mike also saw in the Doc's mind that things would have been very, very different if she'd been more than five minutes longer in arriving... and that thought scared the hell out of him.

Daria sighed with a bit of releif. sorry she said seeing that Mike was dizzy.
The Doc came over to them and smiled knowingly. "Always a pleasure." Daria managed a weak smile. "Well, Daria I have to tell you that you're lucky you got here in time. You were on your last life so to speak."
Daria smirked.
"Another amazing thing is that your ovaries should've been damaged but your organs are shifted so that the blade missed. Must be your mutation." He looked at her file. "and I know what you're thinking, you'll have a scar...I can give you ointment for that which should clear them up. You'll have to wear mittens..."
Daria stared at him. "To keep you from scratching your stitches."
"I'm...not a real cat.."Daria rasped.
The doc smiled. "I'm joking. Although, you can't scratch the stitches..and you will be tempted."
Daria nodded and yawned which she couldn't do without stretching which sent more bolts of pain. The doc had a new nurse give her a shot of morphine.
"It'll help for a while." the doc assured and smiled at Mike. "I'll be back..please, children...stay put."
"Hey, who're you calling children, I'm a freaking angel," Mike slurred, his head rolling and a goofy smile on his face. Yeah... he was definitely short on blood.
"Well yeah... a pint of blood is nothing... but a pint of blood is for puny mortals, not Cassiel!" Mike honestly wasn't sure how much blood he'd given... but he knew it'd been enough that when he'd accidentally dropped the block on the attendants noticing that he needed to be cut off, the closest attendant had said "Oh SHIT!" and put an IV into Mike. So it was probably a lot.
