The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>>“Do these creatures and dead souls not realize who I am?! You, lower being, will not address me with such a voice!”
Costume: Poseidon. Attitude: Poseidon. Check.
>>“Indeed, you have a fiery voice, but your beauty far more outstanding. Tell me, mortal, would you have the affections of a god? I could show you wonders no mortal has ever seen. The coral gardens deep beneath the Aegean...the undersea volcanic vents….creatures which you mortals have long since forgotten but exist, deep in hiding in my realms...”
Despite the seriousness of the situation and all the crazed monsters running around, Gemma had to bite her lips hard to keep herself from giggling. Some wicked little corner of her mind was murmuring I'm gonna have so much fun repeating this to him whenever he gets back to his right mind...
"Volcanic vents. Right." she muttered, the corners of her lips twitching upwards "I'll keep that in mind."
Get it together, Gemma. There is nothing to laugh about here. People are in danger. Come on. Think.
Her aura was not helping his... condition. Not one bit. If it all was really caused by a mutant, the effect was not constant. Well, damn. He was definitely close enough to to confirm that.
>>“I could commission Apollo to write and epic poem immortalizing your tantalizing mahogany skin, your deep fierce eyes, and your ichor stained lips. What say you, mortal queen? Will you be mine?”
She looked up at him. Darn the guy, the role of Poseidon really fit him perfectly.
"For your information: it has already been written." she said calmly "It's called the Song of Solomon. As for being yours: we'll have to get back to that later. And another thing." she reached up, threading her fingers into his fake beard before he yanked it off his face, together with the fake hair. "You. Are. Not. Poseidon. You are Detective Jorge Cervantes of the NYPD, Mutant Related Crimes unit, and I'd really appreciate it if you'd snap out of Greek mythology and got your lazy waterbending ass to cleaning this mess up before people start dying." she said, glaring at him. "And I mean, NOW."

There was a moment of shock and surprise as the Lord of the Oceans stared dumbfounded at the mass of his white hair that she pulled off his head. At first he did not realize that it was his own hair she removed, but then he could feel the breeze of the air flowing across his chin and cheeks. As he stepped back, Poseidon reached up and touched his face, only to see that his beard had indeed been removed. Instead of the long, white beard, it had been replaced by short stubble. He was shocked and wondered how this woman had singed his hair in such a manner and immediately grew angry.
“You dare to spur my love, wench?” he growled as he pushed away from her. He reached up and felt all his hair had suddenly been cut short as well. “How dare you commit such magic upon me! I will show you POWER!” He raised his hand and readied to strike her down with the oceans at his command.
But nothing happened.
In shock he tried again and again, but the water was gone. He could no longer feel it as he once did surging all around. Something was wrong here. The god grit his teeth as he glared at the woman and convinced himself that it was obviously more of her trickery.
“I have no knowledge of what curse you have wrought upon me, woman! But you shall pay dearly for it once I’m free of this pit!” He growled once more as he suddenly whipped around and headed off away from her once again. “If you follow me, you’re destruction shall come tenfold! Hide while you can!” The insults kept piling on and he would make sure that Zeus, wherever that fiend was would pay for it. But first, he needed to get in contact with his brother Hades. Together they would topple Zeus!

All right, so it didn't work.
>>“You dare to spur my love, wench? How dare you commit such magic upon me! I will show you POWER!”
Gemma stood, tilting her head as she watched him try. Folding her arms, she bit back a grin; one shouldn't get too cheeky with a self-proclaimed Greek deity.
>>“I have no knowledge of what curse you have wrought upon me, woman! But you shall pay dearly for it once I’m free of this pit! If you follow me, you’re destruction shall come tenfold! Hide while you can!”
Of course she followed him. She couldn't let a very angry and very powerful waterbender run around out of control. Mutant or god, it didn't make any difference.
"Get out of here, huh?" she called after him as she almost ran to keep up with his long strides "All right, Poseidon, whatever, listen up. I am thinking whoever put you... into this situation, put me here too, and everyone else. So, we need to find them. The sooner the better. And I can help you with that." she gasped for breath "I can't believe you've never met a woman who was playing hard to get." she muttered before she reached out to grab what she thought must have been the sleeve of his flowing robes "Will you stop for a minute? We really need to work together on this."
Alice ran through the crowd bobbing and weaving, and still only just barely keeping an eye on the rabbit. You'd think a white rabbit wouldn't be hard to follow and you would be wrong. The thing was quick and small enough to fit through all the right spaces. He really was a slippery little bugger.
Then it happened. Alice lost him. She exited into a clearing surrounded by entrances into the various areas, each leading to a new type of mayhem. It was no where as crowded as the areas themselves and Alice had no trouble at all manoeuvrings to look in every direction the rabbit could have gone.
After make three or four circular rotations her eyes came to land on a hideous carousel. This was not the carousel you road as a child at the fair. This one was decorated by hell hounds and demon horses. It spun as it played an ire tune that seemed to entrance Alice. She watched as a skeletal horse, a black chariot, a gray hell hound with flaming red eyes, and many other creatures from all the rings of hell whirred around in front of her to their devil's melody.

The sooner the better. And I can help you with that….I can't believe you've never met a woman who was playing hard to get…Will you stop for a minute? We really need to work together on this."
Poseidon had barely heard the mortal female as she ranted and chased after him. He did not need to bother himself with such lowly creatures. Any other time he would have simply had the earth swallow her up, but there was something about her voice. That grating, nerve pinching voice that stayed his hand. Why couldn’t he simply destroy her? Humans were lesser to gods. They mean nothing in the grand scheme of the universe. Only the Olympians mattered, or ever would.
Still, she is persistent, he muttered as he continued his trek across the strange land in search of Hades.
Then he felt her grab his robes.
The indignity, the humiliation, the audacity that a HUMAN would dare touch the hem of GOD without first given permission. Poseidon spun hard, on his heel and glared at the mortal queen. First she speaks to him in such a manner, then curses him with falling out hair and a diminished usage of his control over the waters, and now she dared to touch him. If only he could have summon an earthquake he would have. But as his glaring, red rimmed eyes stared into her stubborn ones…that pang of familiarity stayed his hand. He took one long breath as he stopped and carefully took a step back.
“I don’t know how you’ve bewitched me, but it seems in my diminished capacity, I have barely maintained my control of the waters around us.” His voice still had an edge of pride, but at least it was not followed up with indignant anger anymore. He clenched his jaw and he looked about and then turned his eyes back to her. “You have an interesting way of speech and garb, but you seem just as ‘contained’ here… as I am.” He turned as a gibbering child demon came running up to him, snarling and gnashing its teeth through a false face at him. Poseidon rose a brow before he kicked the creature away, only a little harshly, but enough to send it into a fit of wails. “Fine, I seek Hades. If anyone can aide ‘our’ freedom from this place, it is him. You may accompany if you wish.”
That was as nice as she was going to get from an angry god. He turned his back to her once more and continued his search, stepping over the wailing demon child and kept his eyes alert. There was indeed madness here and though he had a companion, he feared things would only get worse for the Lord of the Oceans.

Gemma rolled her eyes at him. Really? "And you are speaking English, not Greek. Riddle me this, Jorgeidon dear." The whole thing was getting ridiculous. How long was he going to stay like... Whoah. Detective Cervantes, NYPD, MRC, just kicked a kid.
>>“Fine, I seek Hades. If anyone can aide ‘our’ freedom from this place, it is him. You may accompany if you wish.”
"All right, first of all" she said, clearly angry now, and following him as the demon parents showed up for their demon child, and she decided against being around when they got there "No kicking children, you hear me? There's no need to... piss off Hades, if we want his help. And... you know he can look like anything or anyone he wants, right?" she added, looking around "So, we are looking for the person in this crowd who... controls everyone else."
She wished she could just spot him. No such luck. The most she could hope for was that accidentally she'd walk too close to him/her, and cancel the effects. She kept an eye on Jorge. She'd need to see when that happens.
"Also, for your interest, my name is Gemma Taylor, and I'm kinda dating you. Does it ring a bell?"
It's better. Even the Lord of Oceans cannot push his luck too far.

“I care not about the denizens of my brother’s domain, but be that as it may, you may have a point,” he sighed as he stopped himself before he said anymore. The very idea that a mortal queen had made a valid point irritated him. But the Lord of the Oceans did not dwell on it. Instead he merely continued on looking for his brother and passing the throng of creatures and monsters who blocked his path.
Poseidon walked with determination. He knew exactly where he was going and he meant to get there with as much speed as possible, even if that meant that the human had trouble catching up. As he walked, he still was at a loss as to where they were. The more he walked, the more he felt like they really were not in Hades realm. Even if this were Tartarus, it still did not feel right. It was simply…wrong. The whole feel of this place was wrong. It was then that he started to listen to more that the woman said. She said they were trapped here…but she did not name it as Tartarus. Maybe…
He paused as he whipped around to face the woman again.
>> "Also, for your interest, my name is Gemma Taylor, and I'm kinda dating you. Does it ring a bell?"
Poseidon rose an eyebrow and looked her up and down once more.
“That is indeed an odd. I’ve never heard of a royal name such as that. Well, Gemma TaylorAndImKindaDatingYouDoesItRingABell, you’re lineage must indeed be long in order to have a name such as that.” he paused as he glanced from left to right. If this were Tartarus, I know where Hades will be. He may not care well for the souls he watches over, but he does for his creatures. His stables would be where I can find him. So we shall start there.” Then, as if fate answered him Poseidon heard the loud bellow of an elephant. He snapped his attention over in the direction he heard it and immediately set off towards what he believed to be Hades stables (the Central Park zoo). As he headed off, he glanced over his shoulder to the woman. “I will leave you behind Lady TaylorAndImKindaDatingYouDoesItRingABell. If you want help, you best hurry. I am in no mood to be patient.”

"You... just... seriously.... ARGH" Gemma fumed, not really finding the words to yell at the thick-headed pseudo-Greek deity as she ran after him. Whatever happened to the people at the carnival, including Jorge, it seemed to be much more serious than she'd thought. Total mind wipe? Mind control? Telepathy?... Was that really a Greek god in Jorge's body?
I'm NOT impressed.
>> "If this were Tartarus, I know where Hades will be. He may not care well for the souls he watches over, but he does for his creatures. His stables would be where I can find him. So we shall start there."
"Whatever" she muttered, following him "Just keep an eye on the... people. Souls. Creatures. Whatever. They... might not look dangerous, but some of them... can be."
>>"I will leave you behind Lady TaylorAndImKindaDatingYouDoesItRingABell. If you want help, you best hurry. I am in no mood to be patient.”
"Oh, don't worry about me" she snapped "I can keep up." thank God I'm not wearing heels "And you can call me Gemma. You know, like the stones with the pictures cut in them? And I'll keep calling you Jorge, of you don't mind. Jorge."
He was bound to come to his senses, sooner or later.
"Listen. Do you remember the light? The blinding white light, just before... we got here? We need to find where that came from. Or who."
”Alice! Come back here!” The young Jedi called out to the girl in blue. Several heads turned towards the running Jedi and the barbarian. How can that woman run so fast?
A gibbering monstrosity clad in bloody white wrapping, appeared from behind a tree, blocking their path. Anakin reflexively drew and activated his light-saber in one swift motion.
The Jedi let go of the barbarian as the creature took a swipe at him, easily dodging the awkward attack. Not wanting to waste precious time engaging the creature in a fight, Anakin tried to use the Jedi Mind Trick to force the creature to leave them alone. But, alas, the technique failed, much to his consternation. The creature took another swipe at him but missed again. The Jedi realized that he had no other option but to battle the gibbering creature if he wanted to continue pursuing Alice.
Dropping to a martial stance, Anakin sneered at the awkward movement of his opponent. Surely a creature such as this will make easy sport for a trained Jedi.
Another attempt at a swipe from the creature, and Anakin moved in for the kill. The light-saber sliced through the gibbering monster guided by the trained hand of a Jedi... but to no effect.
Anakin was stunned. Never in his life had he imagined that his light-saber would fail him. But it seems that this creature, whatever it is, was resistant to Jedi skills... both martial and force-related.
That single moment of inaction proved injurious to the Jedi as the creature leapt at him and sunk its teeth into his left shoulder. Anakin bit his lip before a scream of pain could escape... he would not gratify this creature with a scream of pain, although his expression easily showed the pain of the bite.
Quickly bringing his left fist up at full force, Anakin was gifted by a satisfying crunch, as his fist connected with the face of the creature, and the creature releasing its hold on his left shoulder.
Moving away from the Jedi, the creature emitted a series of short cackling laughs, which was answered by the same cackling laughter from all around them... it had called for reinforcement.
Deciding that a quick retreat, for now, was the most sensible course of action, Anakin grabbed the barbarian and ran.
The sound of gibbering noise and cackling laughter behind them meant that those creatures were hot on their tail.
Anakin did not know in which direction he was heading for, all he knew was that he had to get the woman to a safe place before confronting their pursuers.
Spotting an opening ahead, which led to what looks like a clearing, Anakin literally shoved the woman through the opening...
”Stay here! I’ll be back for you...” he instructed her before running back to confront their pursuers.
It didn’t take long for Anakin to catch sight of the approaching gibbering and cackling mob.
”Let’s see how you deal with a full force assault...” Anakin muttered to himself angrily as he charged towards the incoming mob. He could feel the anger building up inside him as both his Jedi mind trick and light-saber failed to end the threat of these maddening creatures.
As the mob neared, Anakin stopped and waited for their approach. It was then that he realized a soft whisper-like sound echoing in his head. The litany was too faint, making it unintelligible to the Jedi, but felt hauntingly familiar...
The maddening mob encircled the lone Jedi, forming a ring of gibbering death.
Anakin sneered.
The ring closed in like a noose.
A slight twitch in his throat was the only thing that Anakin felt before the area around him was engulfed in an explosion of force that sent the monsters flying in different directions. Each of his pursuers fell to the ground unmoving. If they were dead or merely unconscious, the Jedi did not care.
Walking back to the clearing where he had left the barbarian, Anakin cared not for the unmoving bodies strewn about on the ground. Savoring instead the power rush he had found himself in.
Reaching the clearing, the Jedi scanned the area for the barbarian. To his pleasant surprise, not only was the barbarian woman there, but Alice as well. ”There you are!” the Jedi said in a tone reminiscent of a predator talking to his prey.
Walking towards Alice, Anakin stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed the monstrosity that Alice was looking at. The large monstrous device had hideous demonic creatures moving about in a perpetual chase.
Leaves whipped Faye’s face as Boy pulled her further down the twisting path that led through the trees.
Suddenly a creature wrapped in white cloth emerged from behind a tree and charged at them, the Boy releasing her hand so her momentum propelled her forwards and under the creatures raised arms.
Reaching out with her now empty hand she caught hold of a tree, her fingers digging in between the cracks of the bark, and spun around it slowing herself down. She emerged from around the other side of the trunk to see the creature latch its mouth around the Boys shoulder and bite down. She couldn’t hear him scream under the sound of her own anguish at this sight but Faye caught the frenzied blur of the Boys fist punching the thing full force in the face with his free hand. A smile split her lips as the creature lurched away cackling madly.
Faye felt the hairs on the back of her neck raise, that ancient defence mechanism letting you know that you are no longer preadator but prey. Turning slowly she scanned the overgrown bushes that sprouted under the trees. It was dark but she knew something was out there, she could feel it. Cocking her head she opened her ears to the backround noises and listened:
The sound of leaves brushing against other leaves,
The gentle creek of the trees moving in the slight breeze,
A faint far away roaring sound that seemed like a river but at the same time being unfamiliar to her,
The panting of herself and the Boys laboured lungs and the drum beats of there hearts,
A twig snapping in the underbrush!
Whirling she caught another one of the shrouded creatures as it burst from the bushes teeth bared in a savage cry and claw tipped hands outstretched towards her. Closing her eyes she whipped her makeshift spear up in between her and the onrushing creature, feeling the handle shudder as the beasts’ unchecked rush came to its end. Faye opened her eyes to the creature’s shrouded visage and felt the ragged hot breath of her assailants shuddering exhale spill over her face. She looked into its eyes; its strangely human eyes, as the man-creature finally stopped shuddering and keeled over backwards into the dirt pulling the spear from her trembling hands. Swallowing hard Faye crouched down and tugged the end of her spear from the now red wetness that spoilt the wrapped cloth of its still form. Looking down on the suddenly small seeming form of the dead man-beast she suddenly felt ashamed at her actions, something seemed to tug at the back of her mind and she nearly started crying when something warm and wet ran down from the spear and out onto her hand.
Why did what she had done seem so wrong to her? It attacked and she defended herself, Faye knew that if she had done nothing she would be the one lying in the dust.
Not it, Him she corrected.
Swallowing hard she realised that the Boy was calling for her so she turned, dragging her eyes away from the pitiful sight before her and made her way back to the path. She could hear more of those things out there where she couldn’t see them and it was obvious that Boy could sense them too. They ran down the path deeper into the trees till the lights from behind them faded and Faye started to see new beams of light slashing through the trees ahead of them. Looking over her shoulder she glimpsed more of the man-beasts as they spilled down the path after them.
Bursting into the clearing the Boy shoved her hard enough to make her loose her footing and tumble down onto the grass >>> “Stay here! I’ll be back for you...” “No! Don’t!” Faye shouted as she saw him run back up the path; back towards those creatures. She’d just picked herself up when an invisible wave came crashing through the wood, the air full of leaves, dirt and twigs swept along ahead of it by its force, picked her up and dashed her into the ground again.
She’d just started to pick herself up again when Boy returned unharmed, causing an outburst of relief that threatened to start her crying for the second time that night.
>>>”There you are!”
Of course I here? Who Boy talking to? following his line of sight she saw the Girl standing before a nightmarish amalgamationof various beasts that roared and breathing fire chasing each other around and around again and again like a monstrously twisted version of a lifecycle.
She moved alongside the Girl and the Boy taking the apparition before her in.
“What we do now?" she whispered never taking her eyes off the things before her.

>> "Oh, don't worry about me…I can keep up…And you can call me Gemma. You know, like the stones with the pictures cut in them? And I'll keep calling you Jorge, of you don't mind. Jorge."
Poseidon sighed as he continued on, trying to follow the sounds of the roar of animals off in the distance. The woman was hot on his heels but he did not spare her another glance. So she would rather go by her first name? That was not proper behavior for a royal, but he cared not to dwell on it. Instead he simply continued on, dodged around any of the gibbering creatures that dared to get to get too close. But why could she not simply call him by his name? He was a God! Even if she could not pronounce it, it was about respect. Still…he was in no mood for that flaming voice of hers to grate him once again.
“Very well…Gemma. Since it must be difficult for you to call me by my natural name, you may call me what you wish. I care not. What does this ‘Jorge’ mean in your tongue anyway?”
Onward they marched and Poseidon waved off her question about a brilliant white light. He saw nothing and refused to indulge her childish questions. Instead he wanted Hades and he wanted out of here, back in his own realm. It seemed that after that first time with those…Jets, he had not been able to command the waters. He wondered why, but again he did not dwell. That is until he paused when he noticed a rather ravishing creature ahead of them.
The woman was tall, dressed in leathers that must have been damaged because there were splits and holes in it, in the most inconvient of places. She was curvy, with startling red hair and a mask of bandages that were wrapped around her face. Around her, several men were dressed in long sleeved shirts (strait jackets) who danced and whipped around her. When she spotted Poseidon and the mortal queen staring at her, she grinned as she stepped forward, her entourage of madness following.
“What intruders do we have here? I am Dementia…shall you be another of my subjects?”
Poseidon shook his head as he glared at the woman. “I bow to no mortal creature! Where is Hades?!”
Dementia actually looked bored as she shook her head and patted a leading mental patient in front of her. “Dispatch of them both. Bring me their two front teeth.”
The minions immediately responded to her command, charged forward and hurled themselves at Poseidon and the human queen, Gemma TaylorAndImKindaDatingYouDoesItRingABell.

>>“Very well…Gemma. Since it must be difficult for you to call me by my natural name, you may call me what you wish. I care not. What does this ‘Jorge’ mean in your tongue anyway?”
"It means the guy who's gonna hate himself for all you do tonight." Gemma muttered as she practically ran after him. He was moving fast, she she had no idea where he was going, or whatever he was planning to do; she was preoccupied with looking around, searching for famiiar faces, threats, or maybe someone with a sign saying "Ask Me About Brainwashing Everyone At A Carnival". Maybe not.
>>“What intruders do we have here? I am Dementia…shall you be another of my subjects?”
"Oh great." Gemma rolled her eyes as they stopped. "We really don't have time for this b*tch."
Now Gemma was not one who usually ran around calling other women names. This was just one of those nights.
>>“Dispatch of them both. Bring me their two front teeth.”
As people in straightjackets charged at them, Gemma stepped behind Poseidon. Grabbing his robes and yanking them out of the way, she bit her lips in determination. Yes, he was carrying a gun. Thank God.
Holding the gun and getting ready to fire it if needed, Gemma backed away from the God of Oceans. Into a safe distance.
"Jorge!" damn "Poseidon!" she yelled at him, aiming at the mad woman "Use your powers!"
She glared at Dementia over the gun.
"... and do NOT kill anyone! Or I'll take your powers away again."
Anakin stared at the monstrous contraption before them. It reminded him of a gyroscope, a device used to maintain stability. But a gyroscope of this size meant that whatever device it was maintaining is also of enormous proportions.
The movements of the demonic creatures adorning the gyroscope have an almost hypnotic pattern to them, enthralling those looking at them for too long into a state of stupor.
”What we do now?”
Anakin need not stray his eyes from the captivating monstrosity before him to know that it was the barbarian who broke the silence. The Jedi tilted his head towards her, tearing his eyes away from the contraption.
”I need to get you two to safety, first.” Anakin answered, the commands of the unnamed queen echoing in his mind.
Surveying the area they had found themselves in, Anakin noted three paths leading away from the clearing. The gyroscope was situated in the exact middle of the clearing. Much like a gigantic control device keeping the planet from straying from its path.
The sounds of gibbering and cackling laughter reached their location. Either the pursuers that Anakin had defeated earlier regained their consciousness or more of those infernal creatures had tracked them to their present location.
Looking at his two companions, Anakin assessed their combat capability. The barbarian can defend herself at least. He had been witness to her capability, no matter how primitive her combat skills may be. It was Alice that he worried about. The woman seems, for most of the time, lost in her thoughts. A major hindrance in dangerous situations where you need your wits about you.
The cackling laughter became louder, breaking Anakin’s thoughts.
They had to get away from there as soon as possible. Time was of the essence.
”Let’s take that path...” the Jedi ordered, pointing towards the path opposite the one they had come from. He was not sure whether they were heading in the right direction or deeper into trouble, but they had to leave that clearing as soon as possible.
Stepping away from the clearing and into the path, Anakin quickly led his two female companions charges away from the monstrous contraption.

Jorge
It was an od series of events. First Poseidon was staring down an obvious mad, female creature with minions of her own. How she managed to take possession of Hades denizens was beyond him, but that was not the strangest of all. Before he knew it…she had called out the attack and they charged. And then….the mortal queen disrobed him….Yes there was really no proper reaction for Poseidon to have. The God of the Oceans felt the sudden chill of the air on his arms and legs and looked down to reveal that most of his robes had been discarded by her, yet he wore odd clothes underneath those. A tight, black tunic and leggings that went down only to his thighs.
What was this woman doing to him?!
He was around to turn and give her another look of irritation when she suddenly shouted and actually backed up from him. Maybe she was finally learning to fear his wrath. After all, how dare she touch the garb of a god!
>> "Jorge! Poseidon!...Use your powers!... and do NOT kill anyone! Or I'll take your powers away again."
he grunted as one of Dementia’s long, loose armed minions threw himself at him. The beast smelled horrible and kept trying to slash at him with what looked like a sharp, transparent material in his hands. “You damn, foul creature!! You dare touch me!?” he screamed as he suddenly shoved outward, but not before the creature got one more slash in.
The move was swift but it was one that Poseidon had not seen coming. The sharpness of that object the creature held must have been enchanted because the god actually felt pain. He staggered back and looked down at the tore material of his black tunic and saw that indeed there was large gash with radiated with what he could only assume was pain. As the ichor, the holy blood of the god’s seeped from his wound, a rage took over. The beast dared to use such weaponry on a deity! That was an unforgiveable act of war.
With the mortal queen far behind him and a group of the minions giggling madly and dancing around him, Poseidon clenched his teeth as he felt his connection with the waters around return. His rage had caused nearby cups and drinking fountains and sprinklers to shake and before he knew it, they obeyed. There was a roar as the water from everywhere began to rush to his command. They swirled into globules, spheres of ever moving water that floated defensively around him. His angry knew no bounds right now and that was always ripe for the accidental death or two.
“I care not if you creatures are of my brother’s realm! To attack a god is punishable!!” he yelled as he set out both his hands and the waters obeyed.
Jet streams fired out, striking their marks hard and true. The minions howled in surprise and pain as the fast moving water struck eyes and forced them backward. Others gurgled as water attempted to suffocate them, seeping in and out of nose and mouth alike. Poseidon stepped forward, his jets of water forcing their minions backward, at least that had not fallen unconscious, as he made his way towards the woman who called herself Dementia.
The woman snarled as she picked up a long piece of deformed, jagged metal from the ground which had fallen from some attraction perhaps. She brandished the metal expertly as he glared at the coming lord of the oceans. “You made a terrible enemy in me! I shall have your mind and leave you body for the vultures!!”
Poseidon sneered as, without a word, he sent out another wave of water. Unfortunately the woman was faster than he could anticipate and before he knew it, the woman had rolled away. She came at him fast and slashed out as he sent another powerful spray of water towards her face. Both struck…and both were in pain. The water jet hit Dementia hard enough in the face to break her nose, but she slashed out before she was knocked away. Poseidon growled as he fell to one knee. Pain radiated from his weak leg and he glanced over. Another long gash, this one a little deeper. More red ichor flowed from the wound as he glanced over to his adversary.
“How can you possess such weapons to strike a god!?” he screamed as he held the wound and sent another wave of water. He had hoped, only a little, that their mortal woman was faring better than he was at this moment.

>>“You damn, foul creature!! You dare touch me!?”
Gemma bit her lips as she bakced farther away from him, allowing him ample space to use his powers; she could feel streams of water brushing past her as he did. She circled around, keeping her eyes on the woman. maybe she was the one responsible for all the chaos. Maybe she was just another victim.
She could hear Jorge yell, and she saw red as she looked at him. Whatever happened to people, they really got violent. Not just mock, Halloween kind of violent - they were out for blood. For a kill. Talking about being out for blood - Jorge was just the same.
>>“I care not if you creatures are of my brother’s realm! To attack a god is punishable!!”
Gemma took another few steps back as Jorge got ridof the... creatures. She really hoped none of them were dead. He seemed pretty darn pissed off. Keeping an eye on the woman, she kept inching towards her. Or, at least, in her general direction. It was hard to see with all the water around.
>>“You made a terrible enemy in me! I shall have your mind and leave you body for the vultures!!”
There was more yelling, and sreaming, and the next thing Gemma knew was that the woman who called herself Dementia landed at her feet, pushed hard by a stream of water, blood pouring from her nose. She was cursing, and struggling to get back on her feet. Gemma glanced around. Jorge was down.
"We don't have vultures here." she muttered, before hitting her on the back of the head with the gun. That took care of Ms. Dementia for a while.
>>“How can you possess such weapons to strike a god!?”
"You're in a mortal body, you f*** idiot." Gemma growled as she hurried over to Jorge to look at his wounds. "This" she frowned, pulling up his shirt "Is blood. See?" she looked around, picking up the robes that were now soaked in water, and tearing bandages from them "Jorge, I'd really appreciate it if you tried to remember who you are." she muttered as she tried to stop the bleeding "This is one crappy night to try to get through alone."
