The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Well next time you two race, try and do it on some soft pillows so you don't scrape your knee, little one," she said softly back to Mille. "How have you been doing? Are you having fun here?"

"Yet, I till mit Jeremy, but Merlin the Wonder Teddy alway cheer me up. Oh! And Mama Emmy! Te it real nit and play game with me. I like her a lot." She smiled, she still felt so different without Jeremy or any of the other people that worked in the mansion and were nice to her. However, she did feel as though this was a home, a new home, she could have two homes, that was possible, or at least, she hoped so.
"Well that's good, I'm glad. I want you to be happy, Millie." Tricity pulled the covers up around her and looked back down at the little girl. "I'm veeeery sleepy. I'm going to take a nap, would you like to join me?"

"I don't really like nap, but I have been having nightmare, toe when I am with tomeone, I leep better. Well, I wake up and feel better!" Her nightmares were getting worse and she had no idea why she had this reoccuring nightmare of her blinding someone with her light. However, she snuggled up to Tricity and, while resting her head on Tricity's shoulder, quickly fell asleep, hugging Merlin close and feeling safe and secure.
Tricity motioned the Doc Prof to come over and when he did, she told him of the nightmares Millie was having. He shook his head and shrugged his shoulders, while looking the little girl over.
"I don't know how much help I could be, Delilah," he whispered. "I'm not a psychic. I'll see what I can do when she's up again."
"Ok, thanks. I would ask Mike, but..." Tricity trailed off and swallowed hard. The Doc Prof put a hand on her head and gave her a comforting smile before walking away. She leaned her head on the little girl's and fell asleep soon after.

Millie twitched as her little mind began to dream an innocent dream, for now. She was on a swing set, Merlin was sitting on her lap and Jeremy was swinging next to her. Millie looked over at him and giggled. Jeremy looked back and her and smiled as he continued to swing. Suddenly, he stopped and just looked ahead. Melissa's ever-curious eyes drifted to what he was looking at, nothing. He was just completely zoned out. She looked down at her teddy and he too was looking in the same direction. In a pitiful attempt to make them look at her, she began to sing and giggle, but the two just kept looking in the same direction. Infuriated, Millie stood up and placed Merlin on her swing before walking over to whatever they were looking at, but then she tripped over something, something her size. Annoyed and agrivated, her blue eyes glared at what she had tripped over, but then widened in fear, it was her. Her own body was laying there, looking up at the sky with a smile. The new Millie stood up looked over at the old Millie, who was still on the ground, looking at the new Millie with an air of surprise.
"Millie, come here." Jeremy said in monotone. Millie jumped up and began walking towards him, delighted that he still wanted her, but then, the new Millie jumped infront of the real Millie and into Jeremy's hands. He stroked her hair like he would do to the real Millie and handed her Merlin. Millie, the real one, was left alone as a dark circle of black began to engulf her.
The innocent girl's hands began to glow as she frowned. Her foot jerked for just a second then went silent as she watched the girl walk away with Jeremy and Merlin in her dream. This dream was not as scary as the others, but it was emotionally painful as Millie threw out her hand in both the dream and in real life, trying to get to Jeremy and Merlin, but she couldn't reach, so tears took over and she begged for them to come back.
Evie had dropped off her stuff and was told to come and talk to a Miss Tipper. So, she was walking over to the infirmary when she just stopped, realizing that she really had no idea where she was going. After making a couple stationary circles, she shrugged and continued to go in the direction she was orginally headed in. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a door with a little window, she peered through it with her curious yellow eyes and saw the cots. There were three people in there, a little girl and an older girl (both of which seemed to be sleeping) and an older man.
Evie took a deep breath and opened the door, closing it quietly behind her as she moved forward. As soon as she reached the cot that the two were sleeping on, she crossed to the side of the woman and listened, she breathing was slow and soft. She was asleep. Evie took a step back and sat down. She reached in her purse and pulled out a pencil before twirling it around her thumb, a trick she learned from a friend during French class.
Tricity felt the sudden movement from under the blankets and being a light sleeper, she immediately woke up and peered down to the little girl. She noticed Mille was still asleep, but was startled to see another young woman sitting near her bedside.
"Oh, hello," Tricity said, immediately waking completely. "Can I help you?" But before Tricity could hear a response, she noticed Millie's hands glowing. "Millie?? Millie, wake up, sweetie. HEY, Doc, come here!"
The Doc Prof came over and saw Millie's hands glowing as well. "What is her mutation, Delilah? Is it just the light?!"
"Well, yes, but who knows how bright it will actually get!" Tricity quickly hopped out of the bed and turned to see how many were in the infirmary. It was only a few children, the Doc Prof, Millie, the new young woman, and herself. "Everyone, close your eyes and get under the covers. Quickly now!" Tricity said urgently. The children in their beds did as was told and she turned to the guest. "Miss, you too. Close your eyes and turn your back!!" Tricity took the woman's arm and physically pulled her from the chair, turning her back. There was no time to run to the door of the infirmary.
She turned back to the bed as the light Millie produced was continuing to get brighter. "Doc, we have to wake her up." They physically shook the little girl lightly, but she wouldn't wake.
"Delilah, you need to turn away too!" The Doc Prof commanded, looking in her eyes and then down to her stomach, thinking of the baby.
Tricity shook her head. "No, Millie knows my voice. Let me try again while you see what's going on." The Doc was about to explain how he wasn't psychic and how his mutation didn't work that way, but Tricity cut him off with a wave of the hand and took Millie hand. The Doc Prof placed his hands over the little girl's head, his hands glowing a bright gold. "Millie, come on sweetheart, it's time to wake up." The light was starting to become unbearable and she had to close her eyes, but continued talking in the girl's ear softly. "Millie, your dreaming. It's time to wake up. Come on now, hun."
"Yes, hi, my name is Evie Del-" She stopped whe she heard Miss Tipper's voice change and direct towards the older man. In confusion, Evie looked down at the little girl and saw her hands glowing. They were so bright, and they were getting brighter. When Miss Tipper told her to close her eyes, she did so. The light continued to glow through her eyelids, so she covered them with her hands and turned away. Questions prodded at her, but she kept her mouth shut, just hoping that the little girl was ok and that everything was going to be fine.

The dark circle continued to engulf her, she couldn't see. The dark scared her more than alot of things. Her tears continued to flow and her glowing got stronger as the light began to creep up her arms.
Then, she heard a soft voice, Miss Tipper's voice. Then another's voice, she didn't recognize this one's voice, but it was still a comfort when she was alone and scared.
"Mit Tipper?" She asked, looking up, even though she couldn't see anything. "I'm alone, I can't tea you." She called out, tears continued to roll down her cheeks.
Suddenly, her eyes shot wide open and she looked around, whimpering in fear. When she saw the Doc Prof's glowing hand over her head, she blinked and closed her eyes before slinking back in her pillow. Maybe she could play it as though she didn't have a nightmare. She didn't want anyone to worry, however, she could not keep her emotions at bay and tears dripped from her eyes.
"Mit Tipper! I don't wanna leep! Don't make me leep. I never wanna leep again!" She choked through her tears.
Tricity breathed a sigh of relief and took the little girl in her arms as she cried. "It's okay, love. You needn't worry now. Everything is fine. The Doc and I will figure this out." She rocked the girl side to side and shushed her tears. Tricity nodded to the Doc Prof to ensure the others were alright.
"It's alright, everyone. Come about now," he said, bending down slowly, in his old age, and taking the young woman's arm to stir her. "It's ok, Miss. Sorry for the scare, but at a mutant school, these things tend to happen. What can we do for you?"

Millie looked up at Miss Tipper, still pretty rattled up. Her glowing had completely ceased because she felt as though she was safe. It seemed as though her sub-concious mind had more control over her powers than she did. “Promit?” She asked, wanting to make sure that her nightmares would go away and she could sleep in peace again.
Evie uncovered her eyes and looked at the rattled up girl. Well, at least there are others that’s powers run off their emotions, but she doesn’t seem to be able to control them when she’s not emotional. That’s odd. She thought. Then, she heard the Doc Prof talking to her and she wiped the look of compassion and confusion from her face and smiled. “Hi, my name’s Evie Delonge. I was told to come here and see a Miss Tipper. I’m new here, my mother said that this school contacted her. She’s back at home right now though.” Evie’s eyes traveled from the man’s eyes to the little girl that had just been glowing.
“Is she going to be alright?” She asked. It was strange to see such a little girl with so little control over her own powers. However, the little girl’s innocence was so cute, how she was hugging the other lady and her teddy bear. How could something so small and innocent not realize what she could do? She was awfully young for such a power, and Evie had not met such a young mutant.
The Doc Prof bowed a bit toward Tricity to let the woman know she was looking for her. Tricity patted Millie's head to her chest in a response to her question of promise. She turned her head to the guest when the Doc informed her she was needed. Tricity picked Millie up and turned to sit down on the bedside, facing the stranger.
"Yes, I'm the Headmistress. Sorry about that..." she said with a smile, hoisting the girl up again in her arms. "Don't worry about this one. She'll be fine. My name is Tricity or Miss Tipper, whatever you like. Evie was it? What can I do for you, Evie?"

Millie smiled and grabbed Merlin, hugging him tightly as Tricity sat her on her lap. She turned her blue eyes to this new girl and smiled innocently. She thought about saying something, but decided to keep her mouth shut and not talk, it would be rude.
