The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"I'm a film buff," Ashton admitted. "I like to go see old movies. Classics. Aside from that, there's the obvious. Spending time with my men, keeping up morale. Sometimes, I do a bit of volunteer work," To meet women. "Making homes. When I'm not doing that, I practice my instruments." If you can call that practice. "I'm usually pretty busy, though. It's a rare treat for me," said Ashton. "To go on dates with impressive women, such as yourself." Ashton smiled at her.
"So, tell me." Ashton added frankly, as the waiter approached stealthily from behind. "A bright, beautiful woman like yourself. Where do you see this," as he spoke, the waiter set the wine, bucket of ice and all, dead center on the table with a bow. "Bottle of wine going?" Ashton continued. "Or, maybe tonight."

Urge to vomit, rising. Well, he sure knew how to appear perfect. She'd heard most of it before though so took it with a shaker's worth of salt. He could be telling the truth, in which case he was far too much of a 'nice' (read weak) person, or he could be fudging the truth slightly, omitting parts of it, in which case he was simply well practised and/or had his speech memorised. Regardless of all that though, at least he was trying, which is more than she could say for most of the idiots who worked for her, and she wasn't even paying him. Well, not in money.
Wow... That might have been one of the least subtle questions I've heard.
Shula, unlike the waiter, could not resist rolling her eyes, still she smiled, as a mutant, and genetically an equal, she could at least tolerate some less than tactful remarks. "That wine, I see going where it was always intended, this night is altogether less simple than that. Tell me though, where do you want it to go?" Ha, like she was ever going to give that question a straight answer, no, let him stay on his A game all night, not drop it with that cocky arrogance men were prone to when they thought it was a sure thing.
