The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daria smiled.
"Yay" she said. Her legs had faint feeling and she could move her tail but wasn't fully in control. Her torso was still imobile. "Almost back to normal"
"Your recovery might be quicker if you'd separate and allow yourselves to heal individually" the assitant suggessted politly but with an underlying tone of bitterness. The doc shot him a sharp look.
Mike was quiet for a moment, then glanced up. Everything was blurry, but he could make out faint blob-like figures someplaces. "You know, I think this would be a good time for you to piss off," he replied.
Tell me if he keeps hovering. I'll make him afraid of rubber tubing for a month. Ought to make working in an infirmary interesting.

Daria laughed outloud at the joke only she had heard. The Doc's assistant tensed up at Mike's remark, thought Daria was laughing at him and quickly walked off.
"Thank you, my prince." she said, laughing." you always come to my rescue, I'm begining to realize that"

Daria's head spun as her tail finally started working correctly. She flexed it.
"I forgot about that. I had no clue I was even able to..." she trailed off reliving the moment of teleportation. She hadn't even touched it. "Teach an old cat new tricks" she joked.

"Winning?" she thought about how she'd gone back to the copter. Obviously she hadn't thought of it as a victory.
"I guess so, Mike. I mean...far worse could have happened.." she then had a flashback. In her frenzy she had seen Eliza parachute away.
"Well, with every victory, there is sacrifice. We saved the school today but the general is still out there and so is eliza. I think she escaped. Maybe she doesn't want to work for him. That could be an advantage for us."
Mike frowned. "So they did get that bitch out of here. Wonderful. We really rocked the house today," he sighed. "We'll just have to be ready for next time, although I really don't know what I can do if he can turn my head inside out with the push of a button."

"The mind scrambler? That's not a problem." she said
Once I told my friends at the base what was going on thy sent me an online catalog of some the newest weapons in the military. As much as they could. There is actually a headset to resist that. It's called the Cerebral Stabilizer.
"How much to get one? Money's no object, I have to put my inheritance to use somehow."
Mike blinked, looking around. THings were starting to take on more definition as his eyes woke up again. He couldn't help but smile as he looked back at Daria. "As cliché as it sounds, you're looking more beautiful by the second."

Daria grinned she ha feeling back almost every where except her left arm. She leaned over and put her right arm around Cass, kissing him.
"What a guy! Even when I look like this" She reffered to her clothes which were stained with mud and grass. Most of all blood. She rechecked her hands to make sure they were clean. She found comfort in the fact that Mike had been blind and unconcious and didn't see her lick the blood off of her hands.
"You may not even have to buy one. I could probably get one sent." She reached for her pocket and felt her cell phone...it was crushed. "Um....yeah but I think I'm out of day minutes"
Mike couldn't help laughing. And laughing. And laughing much, much harder than the joke really called for. And then, slowly, it turned into the painful, rage-filled sobs he'd been suppressing. And once he finally started letting it out, it wouldn't stop.

Daria shifted pulling Mike's head to her chest and wrapping her good arm around him. The assistant looked their way but Daria bared her fangs as if she'd bite him, and she probaly would.
"Mike, Mike, honey, it's alright" she soothed. "Everything will turn out fine"
Mike stayed like that for quite a while, honestly. It was hard to tell how long, really, but he'd been pushing everything in, and now that he'd let go of it, it all came rolling out. Eventually he calmed, taking a deep, shakey breath. Thank you...
