The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*Tricity shook her head from side to side.* "No. I'll think of something else...I can't let you guys keep doing this. It's all my fault. I should've went."
"Tricity, stop. You know reality as well as I do, so stop talking nonsense. It was a sadistic fuck who wanted to torture mutants who did this, it's HIS fault. Or it WAS his fault, at least... he's not breathing anymore, so blaming him won't do much good. And in case you don't remember, it's much safer for me to be caught and tortured than for you to be right now."
"Either of our lives isn't worth more than the other. So value has nothing to do with it...I just wish we could fast forward ahead to skip all this." *Tricity sat back in her chair and started biting her nails out of habit.* "I'm just lost. I wish Orion was here..."
Mike squeezed her hand. "Stop that," he said quietly. "For someone lost, you're doing a remarkable job of keeping this place together."
"I knew the risks when I left, Daria knew the risks when she left, and Emerald certainly knew the risks. You didn't force us to go, any more than you've forced us to do anything here."
"We're mutants... our whole existence is a fight for survival, and you can't have a fight without taking a few punches." He shrugged. "I'm good at taking punches. I'm even better at giving them, and even better than that at preventing them... but I'm not infallible."
*She smiled.* "It's a sad thing when the Headmistress is getting more advice and feelgoods from someone else! Thanks, Mike. I know I sound like I'm whining all the time. It just feels like everything is falling apart around me. Pregnancy, Orion, new residents, Whitmore, Fusionist...seems like the list continues on and on with something new to add everyday. Anyway, it will all sort out as always." *She sat up a little straighter in the chair.* "Are you alright to talk about what happened?"
"Uh, anything you can tell me. You learn anything about Fusionist?" *She asked.* "Just whatever. Anything that might help with getting to know more about Fusionist and Whitmore."
"Daria and Emerald did most of the file gathering... Daria has a load of files, I think. I was a little too preoccupied... the place was saturated with psychic impressions of dead mutants." He thought for a second. "I guess that's a fancy way of saying it was haunted, and they were talking to me."
"There IS a link between the Fusionist and Whitmore, though... the details are in the files, we didn't get a chance to look at them in detail."

Daria stirred and rolled over so that her tail hit the cold linoleum floor. She jerked it back and slowly opened her eyes. Her back was to Mike and Tricity so she was more concerned with herself at the moment. She looked at her hand and saw all the fur was gone, she touched her face and looked down. Her uniform had been hung up and she wore her pajamas.
She was still tired and her back was a little sore from the pain room but the DocProf had healed most of her wounds to perfection. She rolled over to see Mike and Tricity.
"Hi guys." With all the commotion she had almost forgotten where she was. She gave a weak smile.
Emerald's tail began to wag slowly back and forth as she stirred, she was still sort of tired from the days events, but not tired enough. She sat up on her bed rubbing her eyes sleepily, which was good because thats when she noticed no fur was on her hand.
"Man I think Daria and I shedded enough fur to make a wig." Emerald muttered, before she noticed Mike and Tricity in the room. "Hey everybody how's your day been?" She asked groggily

"Its an AH-64 Apache" she said matter of factly. "Its armoured and used for taking down armoured vehicles. Good quality, we should repaint it though." she suggested.
She yawned and stretched in a cat like way, turning to lay on her stomach.
"Consider it a gift." she joked. "Actually, it was the only one around, maybe there's something important on it. I'll check later." she promised.
