The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He smiled lightly at her and moved to her back. He could see she was upset from the childs situation. He wrapped his arms around her. He could feel her heartbeat. He lowered his head to her shoulder. She closed her eyes and leaned her head against his. "What happened Delilah?" he asked softly. "Who did this to them?" he held her tighter
gorgon of course. we went to the central park zoo and the kids apparently annoyed her...she stoned one of them in the process. *tricity turned her head to where johnathon was resting again.* and johnathon broke his arm trying to catch the student from falling and shattering into pieces. mike and i were able to get everyone else out safely and without much of a scene after the tourists went running from the reptile caves.
"Who, is Mike? Where is Gorgon now?" He asked looking for information and wanting to go seek vengence but not wanting to leave her side. Especially now.
mike is a student. i think he's about 18 or so. he's a telepathic, telekentic mutant and he definitely saved our lives. after the encounter, he used a lot of his energy, but he was alright after the doc got a look at him. i dont know where gorgon is now. i think mike put an image in her head that made her quite sad because her expression changed dramatically from rage to longing. she could be anywhere, really... *tricity answered, watching the docprof examine every inch of the stoned girl.*
"From now on I will not leave your side." Orion kissed her and sat next to her. He gazed out the window and carefully made plans for what he needed to do so they would not be apart anymore.
Somewhere in the midst of this exchange, Mike walked into the infirmary. He was easy to miss on entering, he had grown far too accustomed to suppressing people's initial reactions to his arrival back when he'd been at a human school to immediately give it up. Regardless, though, he'd have been noticed sometime before he made it from the Doc's office to the stone student.
"How is she?" he asked quietly, trying not to interrupt too badly into their conversation.
hey, mike. *she said, turning to him. tricity looked back at the girl.* i dont know honestly. but, i was stoned before and it's no picnic after your free from it. i was really weak. i also dont know if the kind of stone gorgon turns you into has anything to do with how your condition will be after being released...she is a small girl. *tricity sighed.* i would feel horrible if anything happened to her.
"And Gorgon?" Mike asked, his voice taking a cold edge. His eyes glowed blue as he tried to probe the stone girls mind, a glow that lingered afterward when he couldn't make contact. "Does anyone know where she tends to lay her slimy head at night?"
no...at one point we knew where a lot of the not-so-good mutants were, but not anymore. a lot of them seemed to have disappeared, but are randomly showing up again. there are also new ones coming around too... *she said, thinking of ire and half looking at orion.* how are you feeling better, cassiel?
Mike, of course, caught that thought and understood that the images that flashed, with rather strong emotion tied to them, had something to do with Orion, but he had the presence of mind to not acknowledge this except for a very brief glance at Orion as well.
"I'm fine, I just needed some rest. Gorgon's brain was... odd. Uncomfortable and tricky. Almost made me miss the fla- humans back at my old school." Mike, again, showing uncommon presence of mind, pretended to be scanning the stone girl again, not really sure if 'flatscan' was an acceptable word to use here, and not wanting to be called on almost using it.
Orion caught the comment and frowned. He was still trying to learn what this boy was. he sensed some sort of telepathic presence and was content enough for now about that. He shifted his large upperbody and stayed quiet.
yea, everything about her is odd. she doesnt try to help herself. *tricity pulled up a chair and sat near the girl.* docprof: "well, i think she will be out of the stone soon. any minute now. i cant read her condition too well through the stone. it's just too thick." *tricity could sense he was scanning her to see how she was doing.* i'm fine, doc. don't worry about me...
Orion sensed a scan on him. At first he thought it was the Doc but then he realized it could be the kid too.
"Don't bother. What you find in here will frighten you." Orion hadnt moved and hadnt looked anywhere else but where he was already looking. Either one would know he was not kidding.
