The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Watching the spiders disappear into her hair didn't faze him in the slightest. It was just part of her glorious gift, after all. Seeing her look over her shoulder at him warranted thoughts of more of that."Really?...Not many people would say the same..." The man behind her was unlike most people, human or mutant. "Oh well, you seem capable of handling yourself." A smile appeared, though the eyes remained quiet. Himself, her, anyone else that crossed his path.
"Dinner will be at six. Whatever date you choose, seeing as I have no preference. Just send me a text, or a call so I can get ready." She was moving near him, but respecting his aura, which he appreciated. He pulled a Blackberry from his pocket and entered the address and numbers that were scrawled on the web into his own device for safekeeping, pulling the web free with his fingers shortly after. Not like he wanted anyone else to have the keys to the kingdom. Placing the device back into his pocket, he turned on his heel to face her once more, admiring her feigned innocent stance.
"Dinner will be... mostly... vegetarian. So if you can't live without meat make sure you don't show up too hungry. All of that sound good for you, Cutie?"A look of understanding, seasoned lightly with a dash of malice crossed the man's features. Slow, measured steps brought him closer and closer to the dark mistress before him. "When I show up, I will be famished.[/i]" His eyes did not hesitate both the main course and the dessert. " I hope you'll be able to satisfy my appetite.[/i]" His hands slid behind his back, holding each other as he tilted his head slightly, waiting.
A pale hand rose to stroke her mustache like Sherlock Holmes. As if some great murder was laid out before her, and only she knew the answer... If only she had thought to bring a pipe. Her upper lip twitched slightly, and she grinned. Murders were much to messy, maybe a simple break in. Yes, simple crimes were probably more on her level anyway... and she hated getting blood on her clothes. "When I show up, I will be famished. I hope you'll be able to satisfy my appetite." Her chin dipped a little, and she stared at him through her lashes for a few silent moments. Yes, simple crimes were probably more on her level anyway. "Famished so you say?" She took in a slight breath, and lifted her head, blinking calmly as her current attitude dissolved away into the air. All that was left was a small smile, and empty staring blue eyes.
"I'm sure what you will find there will adequately satisfy your appetite." One of her hands tucked into a pocket, and she withdrew her stolen yo yo, toying with it in her palm as she adopted a wider, toothier smile. "I must admit, I'm very excited... I haven't had the opportunity to have guests over since moving. I'm glad my first guest will be someone worthy of the effort." Closing the distance between herself and him quickly, without actually touching him, she leaned in and tilted her chin up to kiss him softy on the nose. Then, with the contact done, she bounced back to the door and turned, one hand already on it's way to the door knob. "oh... and also..." Her hear turned, eyes catching the light in a mischievous twinkle, and she smirked at him. "... My roommate is...eh, a little strange, but just ignore his antics. He's a really great guy."
