The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daria appeared in the kitchen quite suddenly, accidentally cutting in on the path of a student with a pile of dishes. He stopped suddenly and the plates began to wobble and slide. Without a moments hesitation Daria grabbed them and teleported them to the table that the kid had been heading to. "Sorry." she grinned apologetically. "I should be more careful."
The child simply smiled and walked off.
"Hi!" she said cheerfully to Mike and Tricity. She still hadn't moved from her spot since her back still hurt and teleporting made it worse.
"'Morning, beautiful," Mike grinned, walking over and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. He avoided hugging her, since he could feel the pain radiating off of her. "Feeling a little better this morning?"

Daria thought it over.
"Perhaps." She grinned. "There is another wolf-girl here now. But this one is nice. She's younger than us so those maternal instincts kick in."
"Daria!" Celeste cried and wrapped herself around Daria's legs. Daria grinned and picked up the cerulean eyed five year old. "Hey there, long time no see."
Celeste, a normally quiet girl removed one of her hair ribbons and it apeared as a milk carton in front of Mike.
"I think she's telling you to get me some milk honey." Daria laughed turning to the girl. "You are way cool for a kindergardener."
Mike grinned, and a cup floated across the kitchen to them. A blob of milk followed it, pouring itself into the cup. "Your milk, my dear," he said, giving Celeste a grin.
"But no new catgirls yet? They're much cuter," he teased.

Daria wrapped her tail around the glass and sipped it, which made Celeste giggle before something caught her interest and she wriggled from Daria's grasp.
"No, no more cat girls." Daria said. "Thank goodness, or I'd have to keep you on a leash." she joked.
"Does it surprise you, hon?" he asked, sitting down next to her. "FOr what its worth, though, Desiree probably slept even worse, with the broken rib and all," he added with a hint of boyfriendly pride.

Daria grinned. "Yeah, totally kicked her ass." she said in a low voice. "She seemed to have good intentions though. I'll admit I didn't believe the whole 'possessed by a spirit' thing but maybe her mutation is messed up like that." she admitted. And I saw you sitting next to that japanese girl. How'd that go?" she asked.
"All right, I guess. She has a psychotic doll that wants her to kill me, and she kept saying how you didn't have a chance of winning, which cheesed me off."
"Yes, but she was feeling it a helluva lot more than you were afterward, she just weighed more than you and fell on you. She didn't kick your ass, the rules did."

Daria smiled. "Thats nice of you. But honestly, I'm willing to admit that she is a very creative fighter. She kicked...I mean I wasn't expecting that from a wrestler. I realized I follow the rules of my art very seriously without deviation. Unless I'm using my powers, which is still a bad thing.
"My teacher used to tell me "Sometimes the most obedient student is the one who bends the rules." and I've never understood that until now."
"Well, you kicked her ass when the rules weren't in place, and when she was werewolfed out. That's gotta count for a lot."
He could feel her pain as he tapped her mind, and judged that her neck, at least, wouldn't hurt if he touched it. Moving his chair behind her he gently started massaging her neck.
