With a nod, Alexandra acknowledged the explanations Lenna provided. A double nod and a smile transmitted her approval of semi-autos over the revolvers. She preferred the modern over the old school as well.

“Anything else I need to know or now we get to practice?” She asked, sounding quite enthusiastic about it. Because, you know, actually holding the gun in your hand was more interesting than only hearing about it.

"Just a bit more teaching..." Lenna replied. "You need to know how the gun is loaded, and all that good stuff."

She spent the next several minutes explaining everything else Alexandra needed to know: Gun loading procedure, parts of the cartridge, and the best way to carry. She left gun cleaning procedures for later. Every now and then, she'd stop and quiz Alexandra on all the things she'd taught her. Finally, when she thought Alexandra understood all the important details, Lenna decided they could move on to practicing.

Lenna ordered the computer to set up a simple shooting range with silhouette targets outlining the various points on the human body one could shoot. Lenna ordered up Alexandra a semi-automatic training pistol and earphones. She demonstrated a proper shooting stance, then asked Alexandra to try it herself.
