The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Thirteen years is a long time," Lenna replied quietly. "You must have pretty good control of your skills."
In all that time, it made sense he would be able to handle himself. Lenna didn't elaborate on her own absent mutation. She merely paid, and led.
He answered her question as the train moved along. Another nod. "Sing, huh? I played a little kara-oke in my day." She pronounced it as the Japanese did. Kah raw okay, said with a thin smile, no teeth.
And then, he turned it back on her. Understandable retort. She had a lie ready for that.
"Nothing as cool as smoke," She said. "But useful. I can weaken other mutants powers. Manipulate the odds against them." Reality manipulation. Nobody could do that. It sounded cool, though. He need not know she was human, need not know why an anti-human organization like the Order had an Adapted running around. That wasn't something one told a new recruit. "It also works in Poker, odds manipulation. Some might call me 'lucky'."
((OOC: I'll get us off the train next post, and into a taxi cab to the Order. ))

((ooc: BACK! sorry my internet was cut off randomly and i only got it back this morning. -_-' so yeahhh moving on hahaaa))
" Well, it works the same every time so yeah i guess thats good control."
Tony didn't really know what to say when Lenna mentioned he must have good control, he had never really put thought into seeing how far he could take his power almost at all. He just stuck with what he had and never spent to much time practicing or anything with it, it came naturally once he fully discovered it. He figured that if he ever did experiment with it something might come up, but it works just fine now so he'd just slap 'practice' on the calender for later...if he ever actually bought one.
" Lucky? Dang that sounds pretty cool. I suggest Vegas if you ever want to retire early. he chuckled. " I think your wrong on the ' not as cool' thing, smoke might look cool i guess but, poker champion makes you the highlight of the party for sure!"
Tony found himself thinking if he had luck instead of his smoke, he might have got more action in high school, well, glass half full and all that.
Lenna smiled at Tony's humor. "Indeed. Retiring early. That'd be nice." She already had funds to live quite a long time without working, thanks to the various cookie jars she had her hand in, so 'retiring early' was actually furthest from her mind. Poker champion, on the other hand... gambling was fun.
The train stopped, and the two got off. "We'll have to hail a cab," Lenna explained. They went topside, and she did. Lenna opened the door for Tony, then let herself in. She gave the driver the address. He seemed somewhat hesitant to drive near the sanctuary, but he obliged.
The taxi started moving. A short while later, it stopped in front of a tall gothic building with big gold doors. Lenna stepped out, and paid the fare. Then, she turned to Tony, gesturing to the building. "The Sanctuary, home to the Golden Arches."

Whoa... Tony thought to himself, This is one serious building.
This Sanctuary place was way bigger than he imagined, and grander. He had expected just a regular building, maybe a few stories tall, but he couldn't have been more wrong. It reminded him of that one movie about the hunchback, he couldn't remember the name. He was rather impressed by it, but in spite of himself he laughed out loud.
" Golden arches? They got a Mickey D's in there or what?" A joker to the end apparently.
He felt pretty good about this, a safe place for mutants. He could relax here with people like himself, and not worry about crazy anti-mutant humans attacking him or anything. Plus he might make some new friends on the side, yeah this was a great investment of time. Tony was glad he came.
>> " Golden arches? They got a Mickey D's in there or what?"
Lenna smiled. "Cornelius, our chef, could probably hook you up. He got Mars McNuggets, on-demand." That mutant could probably summon up any given food you requested. The food was real, too, not mutant-generated or vat-grown. That was another point in its favor, when one weakened the powers of the x-gene around one's self.
She led him through the golden doors, into the lobby. Lenna gave a slight nod to Lisa, the secretary. "This is Tony," She told her. "I'm showing him around."
Lisa nodded.
Lenna turned to Tony. "This is Lisa. She's the secretary here. She can help you, if you come here with questions later and I'm not around."
"What sorts of things would you like to see first here, Tony?" Lenna turned back to the man.

Tony nodded and tipped his hat to Lisa in hello.
>>"What sorts of things would you like to see first here, Tony?"
"Oh man," he said with a whistle, scratching his chin.
He had no idea what he wanted to see first, now that he was here he was a kid in a candy store. He was a bit overwhelmed, this place was huge, cool looking, and had it's own secretary and everything? And this was a safe place for mutants on top of it all? It seemed to good to be true, but here he was standing in it.
" Well uh, I'm not to sure. Any suggestions? I mean, I'm the newbie here I dunno what yall have." He said with a smile.
Tony was eager to have a good look around this place. He didn't know much about it he wanted to know everything he could. He would have never guessed mere days of moving to NYC he would be in a cool place like this. He just hoped to whatever higher power was up there they had a killer bar, that would complete his day for sure.
He turned the tour over to her. Said he was a newbie. Little did Tony know Lenna was also new to the Sanctuary. She'd been given the Mars tour, so she knew where the cafeteria was. She could piece together the living areas. Was there a recreational area, too? It'd be good if Tony wanted to see the other residents of the Sanctuary. She'd start with what she knew.
"I guess first up, I'll show you that dining hall." Lenna said. She nodded to Lisa, then started walking. "Follow me."
A short while later, they arrived in the dining hall. There were tables set out for mutants to eat at. Mutants of all walks of life milled about, lined up in front of the cafeteria-styled food line and at tables. Of note was the absence of food trays behind the glass of the cafeteria's mess line. The head chef, Cornelius, had no need of serving trays. With a nose wiggle and a wink, he could summon anything your pretty little heart desired, exactly as you desired it, down to the finest detail.
"Cornelius is very special," Lenna smiled, regaling Tony with that very fact. She explained what he could do, though not how he did it. He was a mutant, obviously. It was as simple as that. "Would you like something, before we head to the recreation room? A cup of coffee, perhaps?" It looked like the line wasn't too long. Only one or two mutants stood in wait.

>>"Would you like something, before we head to the recreation room? A cup of coffee, perhaps?"
Create food with thoughts? What if you got distracted? Sounds awesome. Tony thought to himself
"I dunno......Food from thoughts...sounds kinda iffy to me." Tony said half joking half serious, " I mean think about it. People think some dirty thoughts sometimes, what if you know, i mean i know that I think dirty sometimes so what if he ...saw some girl walk by as he was making food and my food is...dirty?"
Tony stared at Lenna for a few seconds and blushed at what he randomly said. He was stupid. " Well i don't know! ....Anyways sure im hungry. Lets get him to think up food for us."
The more he learned about other mutants the more he realized blowing smoke was tame compared to these guys. Imagine the possibilities with food creation powers! Instant 5 star restaurant whenever you wanted! or hey, free pizza.
Tony led the way to the end of the line and started thinking of what he wanted thought up for him.
"Haha..." Lenna arched an eyebrow at him. "I think it's less 'thoughts', more what you have a hunger for. I don't think he could wiggle his nose and make an attractive woman appear from thin air." That'd be a strange power. Very strange. "A sandwich sounds far better to me." Lenna smirked.
>>" Well i don't know! ....Anyways sure im hungry. Lets get him to think up food for us."
Tony decided.
And... led the way. Lenna paused, and hung back. "Can you order me something? A hamburger? Cheeseburger? My power is... not so lucky, when it comes to interacting with Cornelius's." No food. Bad luck.

Tony was trying not to think about pretty girl summoning powers, he knew he would not succeed.
>>"Can you order me something? A hamburger? Cheeseburger? My power is... not so lucky, when it comes to interacting with Cornelius's."
Tony nodded. He didn't really mind ordering for her, nor question why her powers didn't work so well around Cornelius. He did not have a PHD in mutant physics so what did he know, perhaps luck and food were not meant to be mixed? Sounds weird but whatever. It wasn't like she asked him to jump off a bridge or anything. On top of all that he would get to see some crazy food powers up close.
" Sure no problem, Cheeseburger? simple enough. I'll be right back.
He turned and walked to the end of the short line.
This is pretty cool, He thought to himself in line, I'm in a new weird place ordering magic food, meeting new people, and learning my way round New York. I'm glad I had the day off today.
So Lenna wanted a cheeseburger but heck what did he want? He couldn't exactly see a menu, and without direction on food he was drawing a blank. Well Lenna said he could make anything you were hungering for so what the hay, the occasional surprise wouldn't hurt right?
Tony saw a mutant in front of him order a sushi shellfish seafood salad, It must have been his imagination but he swore he saw something move. On second thought maybe he should stick with the basic american cheeseburger.
>>" Sure no problem, Cheeseburger? simple enough. I'll be right back.
Lenna nodded. "Thanks."
Her focus drifted away from Tony as she sat waiting. Lenna's eyes swung to another mutant at a table nearby. He was 6'11", dark-skinned, and had a mohawk. He smiled at her.
An eyebrow arched. "And what can you do?" She commented on the weather.
"Night elf Mohawk," he grinned. She caught a glint of gold in his teeth.
Lenna smiled back. "Cool."

As Tony's turn came, Cornelius beamed a care-free smile his way. Cornelius was lanky, with dirty blond hair cut short, and a tray in his hand.
