The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Juka said something about the south, but Deirdra assumed he had meant west. She chuckled slightly to herself and looked at the interesting man. “I’m from out west. Wyoming, remember? Anyway, it’s not that amazing. There’s a lot of nature, if that’s the kind of things you like. There are geysers out there and they can be quite amazing.” The blond crinkled her nose. “Although they do stink and smell like rotten eggs. There’s an abundance of them in Yellowstone National Park. Needless to say, I didn’t visit that park very often.”
It seemed that Juka wanted to come in as well. She walked to the front door of the apartment building and unlocked it. Turning to the man, she motioned for him to follow. “I’m on the second floor. We’ll have to take the stairs.” Deirdra began to walk up the flight of stairs. She continued her ascent until she tripped on a step. With an angry sigh, she bent over to unhook her heels. When she bent over, her small shorts pulled. After taking them off, she turned around and gave him a smile. “Alright, almost there.”
When they arrived to her doorway, she unlocked it and stepped inside part way. The blond leaned in the entrance to her apartment and gave a sexy smirk. Then, Deirdra went inside the rest of the way after a moment. “Come in, come in. You want anything? A drink? Or..I don’t know.”

Apparently Juka's sense of geography left a little something to be desired. Well, he had an excuse didn't he? After all, he was Japanese and hadn't spent his entire life in the US. "Parks aren't really my thing," Juka admitted with a chuckle. "I'm more of a people party music performance type person. Just isn't much of interest at a park."
As Juka followed Deirdra up the stairs to her appartment he had to supress a grin as she tripped over her own heels. It was almost an art to walk in high heels, an art that Juka had become master of, out of necessity. After all, if it was difficult to walk in heels just imagine how difficult it was to dance and perform in them and when Juka Miami put on a performance he gave his fans their every penny's worth.
“Come in, come in. You want anything? A drink? Or..I don’t know.”
"Anything is fine," Juka answered. Suddenly he felt a little awkward, something that was a bit of an unusual experience for him. He was used to being in stranger's appartments, of course, but there was something about this Deirdre that he wasn't too sure about. Oh well, no turning back now. At the very least he had to remain polite, stay for a drink and see where things went.

The blond walked over to her fridge and flung it open. She stuck her head in and looked around. "Well, I've got orange juice, milk, and beer." She furrowed her eyebrows together as she looked at the odd assortment. Deirdra pulled her head back out and looked at Juka. "I need groceries, I think." She laughed and pulled out the orange juice. "Oh, there's always water too. I've got plenty of it." The woman gestured to the faucet with a nod. Walking over to a cabinet, she opened it and pulled out two glasses. One was for when the man decided what he wanted. She wasn't a fan of just picking something out for someone. It made her feel a little uncomfortable.
She began to fill one glass with orange juice and then smiled at Juka. "So I notice you're pretty into fashion. When did you start getting so interested?" This was a nice way of asking why he dressed like a girl. Honestly, it didn't really matter to Deirdra, but it could make for some good conversation. At least she was hoping it could. If not, she could just say something else or ask him to leave or whatever. Either way didn't make much of a difference at this point. The blond was tired enough that she may have been able to sleep, but could still be awake for a while if she tried. What happened next all really depended on Juka. She took a sip of her orange juice and tilted her head, waiting to see what he had to say.
"Orange juice would be fine," Juka answered the blond. Despite the fact that he liked to party and have a good time, he honestly wasn't much of a drinker and when he did drink he preferred his drinks to be sweet and fruity. Beer was not exactly his idea of an ideal drink at all.
"So I notice you're pretty into fashion. When did you start getting so interested?"
"It started back in Japan," Juka answered. He could tell that Deirdre was tired and honestly wanted to be able to offer to help her with that. He knew that he could, with his bubble, but after the last "experiement" of that nature he'd done and how badly it turned out he didn't want to risk it. Wiggly hair was one thing, he couldn't imagine what might go wrong with a scorpion tail.
"I got adopted into the visual kei band Ukime. Since then music and fashion have been my two passions in life. I love making people smile and I love the attention. Something tells me you can appreciate attention." Juka smiled and winked. He was rarely wrong when it came to reading people, even first impressions.

When the man said that orange juice would suffice, Deirdra began to fill the other glass with the pulpy beverage. After she had finished pouring, the woman put the cap back on the jug and shoved it into the refridgerator. She came and sat next to Juka with an orange juice in each hand. The blond held one out to him and smiled. She listened as he told about his band. "Very cool." He guessed that she liked attention too and the woman looked off to the side with a smirk on her face. "It's that obvious, huh?" She paused. "Yes, I do like attention. I like it in almost any form. I don't care if it's a man or woman looking at me, as long as someone is." Deirdra glanced down at her drink.
"I don't like women the way I like men, but I don't mind if they like me." She realized how shallow it all sounded. It didn't really matter what people thought of her because there would always be someone who didn't care. Someone who just thought she was beautiful and would spend a night with her and then leave again. Even if it wasn't the correct kind of attention, it was still attention. Deirdra wasn't a psychologist or anything of the like, but she figured that most of those issues came from her lack of attention she had received as a child. She had left her home when she was thirteen. The woman had grown up fast and learned to appreciate anybody's eyes on her.
"Sounds terrible and narcissistic, doesn't it?" She shook her head and laughed. The laugh wasn't a happy one, it was something that had no humor in it at all. Lifting her glass to her lips, she took a drink of orange juice and then sighed. "So, Juka, you say you like attention too. Does it matter to you where it comes from? If you don't mind my asking, of course."
If there was one thing that Juka understood (and in his opinion there were several things that he understood) it was attention. Attention was a glorious thing, it helped to affirm one's own importance. Perhaps it was a selfish thing also but it didn't really serve to do any harm so he saw no reason to be ashamed of the fact. Deirdre seemed to agree with him in her own way, given her admittance.
"I don't like women the way I like men, but I don't mind if they like me."
"Maybe you just don't know what you're missing," Juka said with a wink. He supposed it was a rather modern view even to not mind attention from both sexes but there just didn't seem to be too many that appreciated both the way he did. Well, he certainly wasn't doing anything in life for the approval of others. Attention seeking or not, he was his own person now and for the rest of his life.
"So, Juka, you say you like attention too. Does it matter to you where it comes from? If you don't mind my asking, of course."
"If you're narcissistic I guess I'm just as bad," Juka admitted, laughing. If one couldn't laugh at oneself who could one laugh at? "I'm a singer in a band and I dress like an eccentric woman so I figured it went without saying that I like attention." He grinned at Deirdre, taking a sip of his orange juice. "I don't really do it for the attention, of course, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. I just like to look beautiful and colorful and not like anyone else." It wasn't much of a leap to figure that she might be curious about his fashion sense.

The blond couldn't help but laugh when he said that she didn't know what she was missing. "Maybe that's true. I really don't know." She had never tried to be with another woman. It didn't seem appealing to her even if it would be a form of attention. Juka said he liked to dress different, but not to get people's attention. Deirdra thought that was why someone dressed differently in the first place, but it seemed that that wasn't the man's logic. She set her orange juice down on the coffee table and turned to look at the man who also resembled a woman.
"Do you dress like this only to look different or do you enjoy seeming a bit like a man and a woman at the same time. You probably appeal to more audiences if you're a bit like both." She crossed her left leg over her right and hoped that he wouldn't take her questions negatively. Deirdra took another sip of her juice and then decided to clear up the situation. "I'm just curious. I hope I'm not offending you or anything. I think you're very lovely. When I first saw you, I couldn't tell if you were male or female. You could really pass for either, which seems to be your goal."

You could really pass for either, which seems to be your goal."
The woman appeared to understand him and Juka liked that. There were so few people who really got what he stood for; normally he just got strange looks for the way he dressed or, when at shows, admiring looks from rabid fans. This was a little different than his usual fangirls and fanboys, however, as there was no idolation from Deirdre. As much as he treasured his fans and the fact that the had them, most of them just idolized him because they wished they could do the things he did every day. That was no foundation to build a relationship on or even a friendship. Not that he had any interest in a proper relatilonship at this time, but friendship was always good. He was more the one night stand or casual fling type, but only if his partner understood exactly what he was all about. He was no player to use woman and found the very thought repulsive. Such men should be castrated.
"That is a lovely compliment you pay me, even if you don't realize its a compliment," Juka replied with a smile. "I do like to look a little like both so there's some ambiguity there. There are lovely traits in both men and woman and I like to think I have the best of both worlds." No, he wasn't a modest person. "Mostly though, I just like the fashion. Women are able to wear all sorts of beautiful outfits that men aren't if you go by convention. So I decide to spurn convention and wear my dresses and veils and ribbons anyway."

Deirdra found it amusing how blunt Juka was. He said what he felt and believed himself to be amazing. She had to admire that a bit, since most people find a flaw with themselves and begin to dislike their appearance. He seemed very confident and the blond had to admire that as well. She found it amazing that he could wear whatever he wanted and not feel uncomfortable or scared of what people thought. She wasn’t sure if it was bravery or if it was from being a bit narcissistic., but it didn’t really matter much either way. “It’s good to be happy with yourself. I usually feel pretty positive about myself.” Well, at least her external appearance.
The blond gave him a smile when he said that it was a lovely compliment. Something about this man made her not want to say something mean or be as cold as she usually was. Deirdra guessed it was because of his own kindness. Being rude to a really nice person could sometimes prove difficult. Or maybe it was because he was so confident with himself that she knew saying something cruel would really make no impact. And there was one more theory that she guessed was the correct one: Maybe she wanted him to stay with her for a while, but not to talk with, necessarily. “Well I’m glad you found something that works for you. You’re quite right, women’s clothing is generally very beautiful. Of course, I do like men too so I can understand where your style’s coming from.” She laughed and leaned back into the couch.
“It’s good to be happy with yourself. I usually feel pretty positive about myself.”
Juka nodded approvingly. "Not enough women are confident in themselves. Self esteem issues and all that." So many of them just didn't realize how amazing they truly were and it was refreshing to meet someone who didn't need a self esteem boost.
Juka finished the last sip of his orange juice and stood up. "Darling, this has been positively lovely to meet you even if I didn't get to be your shining knight in armour," he winked at her, "but I should probably go. You do need your beauty sleep right?" He rifled around in his pocket for a pen and paper and wrote his number it in. "If you ever want to have a night on the town or just need someone to talk to, please do not hesitate to call." He extended the paper to hand to her.

Juka stood and said that he had liked meeting Deirdra, but he was going to go. She laughed when he asked if she needed her beauty sleep. “Yeah, beauty sleep has never done me anything but good, I must say.” He wrote his number down and passed it to her. She smiled and took it from him. “I look forward to seeing you again, Sir Knight.”
She walked to the door and opened it for him. “Get home safely, but I’m sure you’ll be fine. Even better since you have that bubble and can carry anvils with you.” The woman smirked and ripped a piece of paper out a nearby notebook. She scribbled her own number down and held it out for him to take on his way out. “I’m a big fan of nights on the town.” Deirdra winked.
