The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daria smiled at the little girl. She was going to be a lot of fun to have around. Daria had really enjoyed taking care of the younger kids for Tricity and she always enjoyed seeing the sensitive side of Mike.
As cute as the situation was she couldn't push the fact of Mike's short fuse from her head.
She came up behind him after taking off her sweater and began to give him a message. "We were about to get you to chillax" she whispered softly.
Mike seemed to deflate against her hands, taking a deep breath and closing his eyes. "Mmmm... thanks baby... I'm all right, just a little frustrated right now..." he said, his voice sounding a little tired as her hands worked their magic.

"Well, soon it will all be over. Or the hard part at least." She thought and led him to bed. She had him sit on the edge while she knelt behind him to continue the massage.
"Technically, all this will be easier because I'm going to help out." she grinned proudly to herself.
"You have no idea how true that is, babe," he said, his eyes half closed. The laptop floated off the desk, hovering in front of him, keys typing for themselves so that he could just let his body turn to rubber underneath her touch.
His eyes were half closed, so all he could really see was that the suite he was reserving was completely decked out, had multiple rooms, room service, and would put a nice dent into his current bank account size. The "reserve" button clicked itself.
"So... how soon do you think you could be ready to go?" he asked, still sounding a little hazy, "That is, after we decide to start getting ready."

Daria glanced at Kitty.
"God, I hate to leave the little kid alone." she began, stopping her hands for a minute. But one thought of Mike and that quickly slipped away. "But, business is business. One of the other students can stay in the room, with her until I get back. So..I can start packing now, actually. And depending on how long the trip is..probably be done by tonight." She glanced at her watch it was around late evening. "How long do you think we'll be gone?"
"Don't know, really. I was planning on getting there fairly soon... Sorry, but after yesterday I need some time away from this place. And we'll have to stay until the will is read and the relatives have stopped most of the arguing about it. Probably three days... maybe four"

Daria couldn't say she was happy about leaving the mansion. It was home to her now especially since it was the only place that had really accepted her. On the other hand Daria had an inexplicable feeling conflicting inside of her. Home would be wherever Mike was. She was positive she couldn't possible stay at the mansion happily without Mike, so she soon got over her anxiety. Plus a trip would be fun since she was used to travelling.
"Not a problem." she said after some thought. "I still get my fluffy bathrobe right?" she grinned leaning in over his shoulder and pressing her cheek against his.
He visibly relaxed, having her so close. "Fluffy bathrobe, room service, I opted out of the jacuzzi, since I didn't think it would agree with your feelings toward water, but the room has a balcony, and it's on the..." *he checked* "Tenth floor, so it'll have a great view..." He sighed, leaning into her. "Just pack light... if we stay longer than we pack for, we can always just buy whatever we need. Money's not really an issue anymore."

Daria had never been in a hot tub but definitly knew she couldn't handle it. Just the thought of water sent chills down her spine as the faint sound of rain pattered in the caverns of her conciousness.
"That sounds really nice." she said. "and I'll pack for the three days and shop if i need to. Actually" she grinned, "I'll shop if i don't need to."
Daria's money often went..unused since she had no one to use it on. But she had big plans for it now that Kitty was around.
Mike heard her thoughts, of course, and smiled over at the little girl sleeping in Daria's bed. "You know, there's a gigantic mall near our hotel. Perfect for finding things for little adopted sisters."

Daria smiled. "I'm so excited, Mike. She's been through so much. I mean, I was fifteen when I lost my parents...but besides being blamed for their deaths, I couldn't possibly compete with having lost them as young as she is. We're gonna have so much fun" she squealed, then thought a minute.
"Of course...everyone in a while, I'll have to find a babysitter" she grinned and kissed Mike on the cheek.
